This was the best tips and advice that I have found ANYWHERE! In November 2022 combo out my daughters Locs after 4 years and it was amazing in the beginning but 3 months in major breakage! But cutting, deep conditioning, protein , proper oils and patience has finally paid off. 8 months later we are finally seeing and retaining healthy shiny hair. Thanks for tips
So I just combed out my 7-year-old bra-strap length locs and lost SO hair in the process. :’( I made the mistake of trying a hair color wax and the buildup made it impossible to salvage most of my length. Plus tbh I was probably too rough while detangling, especially since it’s my first real time as a loose natural taking care of my own hair. SO grateful for this video and praying my hair thickens and grows back healthy and strong 🙏🏾
I'm so happy for you! Thankfully I didn't have to worry about learning what worked for my hair after cutting my locs because I was loose natural before I started them. Each time someone asks me about locs, I always refer them to your videos. Now I can refer them to you for loose natural hair as well, thanks for all the good advice!
im taking my locs down right now. Maybe 15 more to go from 75. I plan on putting mine back up but before i do that im going to get it back healthy and loc back up 2-4 month. Taking mine down to do a neater part pattern. Appreciate your video ❤
I just finished taking out my sisterlocks yesterday it took 5 months because of procrastinating but I did it good thing me mom still dose my hair since I don’t know what to do but this video really helped
me2 15 years just combed it out in Nov 2021..... I tell u one thing natural hair is no joke and expensive.... definitely putting locs back in a year or 2 ...enjoy your journey
The only thing about cutting the locks is you can cut much more of the length (if retention is important) because the actual hair/loc shrinks, three to five inches can appear much shorter when the lock is in its untouched state… you’re strictly cutting length of the shedded hair, your actual healthy “new growth” is intertwined as well…. you have no way of knowing just how short the hair will wind up being…
Im going to the eleventh grade and I just combed out my locs after having it for five years and I noticed and realized I really don’t know anything about my natural hair and maintaining it so this video helps a lot on giving me ideas and tips for maintaining it thank you so much!!🫶🏼
update: its been 4 months and i cut my hair from chest length to shoulder length in december. i have been taking alot of care of my scalp abd trying to stimulate hair growth with tea tree oil to keep my scalp clear which has worked pretty well. the main area of my crown has seen a significant difference and i think it was thinning due to lack of upkeep while i had my locs.

Good points... Your diet is important as well to maintain healthy hair. Hydration internally and lots of fruits and veggies
