Amira grew up in a family which faithfully attended a small church in Holland, and she became a Christian believer in the Lord at a young age. Despite musical venues which can be very negative toward God and Christianity, Amira is unabashed in her outspoken testimony of faith, her character, her values, and her objectives. As a Christian myself, I applaud and admire this precious young lady for her faith, her song choices, her exquisite vocal beauty, and her untiring charitable work among the poor children of South Africa through her Gelukskinders Foundation ("Lucky Children Foundation") which she established at age TEN (!) which raises funds to build playgrounds for children in impoverished areas of South Africa (18 or 19 playgrounds at present, and she is still only 19 years old)! Amira is a special wonder of God's creation among humanity!
This is what we get when a singer is seriously meaning what he/she is singing. Amira is a very, very, religious young woman and you can feel that.
Great reaction! (Say hello to Ms. Mittens.) Amira donates half of everything she earns from performances, sales of her CDs, DVDs and streams. She has a charitable foundation that buys, installs and maintains playgrounds (more than 20) in public schools in South Africa. She also holds Easter and Christmas actions to donate toys to poor children. During the pandemic, she led an action to donate food to families who were unable to work. She participates in actions on behalf of veterans, children with autism, turtles and endangered white rhinos. She sponsors uniforms, shoes, balls and equipment so that girls and teenagers in South Africa can take part in student softball championships. She sponsors young singers. And she has been doing all this since she was 9 years old, right up to the present day.
Amira is such a blessing,may God,always bless her ,and her beautiful family.What a heart of Gold she has!!

There was no audience for this performance; it was right in the middle of the Covid pandemic. So they were performing to an empty theatre, containing some ten video cameras. The whole concert - and her concert in September of 2020 - were featured as "streaming concerts" on You Tube. They are now available on either DVD or USB stick, from her charity foundation, "Gelukskinders".
i just posted the Gelukskinders store link to buy this streaming show; it was removed by YT saying it was spam. i don't think you can share such outside links anymore. i have asked YT for clarification as i have done this multiple times previously.
Her talent is amazing. I love how she has the African people performing with her. She has love for all the people. We could all learn from her. This might be part of a concert.there is a video of her with her singing I Will Walk With God that looks like this.
Say what you will about talent shows, but they can focus our attention on some tremendous artists. Amira won Holland's Got Talent in 2013, and we probably would not have heard of her without that kickstart.

The supporting African singers are members of the famous Mzansi Youth Choir. They appear on several videos with Amira, most noteably on Little Drummer Boy. If you appreciate her Christian hymns you might enjoy two of her Christmas concerts in the Netherlands.

Ninamo. Amira isn,t singing . She is doing what it,s all about ,it,s a prayer and so she,s praying. The transcend you talk about is a matter of taste. You must understand Amira is not just a STUNNING SUPER SOPRANO, She,s a TRUE ONE OF A KIND SOUL MESSENGER.
