Top job Rory! Even more eerie than the empty Melbourne terminal was the totally empty road outside - which is usually a full on traffic jam at any time of day. 16 passengers - it seems like you got a ride on a huge private jet!

Love ya work Rory. You remind me soooo much of one of my good friends when I was working in Harbin. And yes those empty terminals bring back memories from a few of my flights over the last 18mths. Think my record for ‘ghost flights’ was a total of 3 passengers on a single flight into Brisbane. I’m going to miss that. Also how exactly do you measure or obtain the seat/legroom dimensions??? Just get the info online or are you packing a tape measure and level in you travel kit? Heh

The 787 is mainly used for jetstar’s long haul flights to Honolulu Tokyo Denpasar and Phuket, it uses 787 from Melbourne to Goldcoast and Melbourne to Cairns during the school holidays in addition to many A320 and A321 flights that they operate each day.
Also Gold Coast and cairns have limited boarding gates/slot availability therefore one plane is better than 3 in this case too.

Rory, only 3 countries in the world still use imperial measure. Giving knee clearances etc in inches makes poor old Johnny do mental conversions. Oh the pain! Mate a knife and fork to eat a pie?

Yeah but if you check the seat pitch in economy it’s always 28,29,30,31,32 inches, not 71.12cm, 73.66cm, 76.2cm, 78.74cm, 81.28cm.
The airlines measure the pitch in inches so I also use inches to measure.
Also inches is easier to tell how good the legroom is, 28,29 horrible legroom 30,31 average legroom 32 good legroom

It’s all good. Train tracks are still all measured in old imperial gauge and have been since the 1850s. Airliners still use knots as their official airspeed. And mentally converting inches to metric is a basic life skill. Same with miles to km or feet to metres or pounds to kilograms or Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Out of interest, now you've increased subscribers etc, are you able to do CZcams full-time? And if not, is that your ambition? Cheers.
