Same! I think they lost a great opportunity to introduce Lenore to the MH World. I have to say that the doll it’s pretty but the fact that she doesn’t have a full story or something that make us love the doll just came with a poem ☹️.
Its CLEAR me and so many other types of mattel consumers share same opinions as joey. It's clear that barbie/mattel don't wanna give us what we want; That's a strategy despite not looking that way. They prioritise money and sacrificed so much for it, instead they need to adapt a strategy more inclusive of all consumers. They front to be so ethical However, they always release a line to push great quality doll brands out of the market. Many brands go through an era of being under bad descision makers lets hope this too shall pass.
I emailed Moose about selling dolls without the reveal nonsense. Their response was ItS PaRtE oF tHe ExPeRieNcE I guess a seagull choking on the packaging in the landfill later is part of the experience too
I actually left the reveal stuff in the walmart parking lot after removing the doll. I really like the line but all that extra crap reveal packaging, ugh
Yay! I ordered the rockabilly Operetta. Absolutely love her sexy retro vibe and the longer hair on this doll. I considered the new Lenore doll - I love Halloween too so her theme speaks to me. But you're right, for $75, there was too much blue plastic (although the melting candle on the spider pet is super cute). I passed on her. Thanks for sharing this doll news update! Slight correction, LUV dolls are made by Far Out Toys, the creators of Glo-Up Girls, which had a gimmick very similar to FailFix. Failfix were actually made by Moose Toys (they’re the ones who make the Pixlings too!)
I think the only one I really want is the remake of Black Barbie. She’s fab. I do like the Brooklyn and Malibu horse ones too. I’m so thankful that the dolls I grew up with were before this epidemic of painted on, molded on clothes and super cheap, stiff, plasticky fabric.
Will definitely be buying the Dream Besties, all four, and Catty Noir from Monster High!Even tho there was some controversy and static online abt her plus sized body type, I love it. Monster High has done EVERY body type now. Good for them for giving us diversity 👏
The new barbie ones at the start are a definite must have. Only going to limit myself to 2 of them (the barbie and Renee). Their faces are very ever after high looking, but I'm here for it. Smyths better get these in!
💖I agree Mattel should improve quality and expand variety. I'd like some fashion packs and/or dolls from the movie, especially the 'Leaving Barbie Land' Pink dress with a felt beret! The Blue dress with the white pointed collar. Weird Barbie's 2nd outfit. Ken in the Black outfit. And an Allan doll that looks like actor Michael Cera! Margot Robbie, that looks more like her, in the Striped Swimsuit! I want it all and I want it now! 🤪
LOVE magic mixies pixlings but HATE the color reveal tube things they come in. when i get the mixies pixlings dolls the packets of "reveal" stuff immediately goes into the trash.
A Barbie and Sisters set! The new Color Reveal mermaids and the Cutie Reveal are a maybe for me. Phisical copies of a new Barbie film would be nice to go with the doll release. Seeing a physical copy of the past films was nice, but it's also harder to get those dolls. Looks like hit or miss with all of them. The magazine cover comment 😂
Option A: get a G1 doll. Not skullector or limited edition just simple like a howliday OR Option B: Two dolls with a car, suitcases. Extra outfits for each doll and multiple accessories galore MATTEL….
Joey, I agree the playline dolls have been "falling in recent years". I do not like the Boba Tea Barbie dolls either. Nor do I like the Color reveal mermaids. I love the two new Fashionistas Barbies-(Totally Hair and the original 1980 black Barbie). I don't care for the Advent calendar. I like the "I love School" Barbie. I love the "Great Horse Chase" Barbies. As an adult doll collector, I only collect Barbies and Kens. I also build my own Barbie Dream Houses. I have a couple of questions- 1) Do you have a Barbie Dream House? If you do, which house do you have? 2) Will you ever do a video of your Barbie Dream House? and 3) Do you have any KEN dolls? If not, you should consider adding the new Barbie Looks AA Buff Ken to your collection. I enjoyed your video.
I have the Skipper Reproduction doll and she is beautiful in person. Also, just for the new Barbie Fashionistas and they are nice in person, especially the Black Barbie 💖
Well, the most exciting releases I am finding myself attracted to ATM are Decora Girlz, the 65th anniversary Trolls, Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite return. We are having to scrape for the goodness lately, for sure!
When it comes to the Pixlings, I only did the reveal thing once, to see what all it entailed, and then after that, I just remove all the packaging without playing along. I keep the potion bottle to use as a display case for the doll. The big clear elastics I save to use at some other time (I'm also the kind of person who saves rubber bands and twist ties 'just in case' I end up needing them later). It's not great, and I do wish there was an option that didn't have so much packaging! But the dolls are so cute...
Just bought the new Barbie “Styled By Design” high fashion doll and LOVE it! Stunning doll with old-fashioned Mattel quality (real jewelry! fabric boots!). Also the new Looks dolls are quite nice.

The new black Barbie is a beautiful tribute doll. I find her more closely styled to another doll from the 70's, the "Christie Love" doll. She was based on the character from the 70's TV show "Get, Christie Love." The character was a police detective in the drama series. Love you, Joey. 😊 You are an absolutely informative and entertaining doll of a person. I could hang out with you and your dolls all day long. "Do you want to have a beach party?" ✌️💗🫂

The Barbie Besties doll/face molds are super cute. Something about their proportions just hits right to me. Plus, although it is obvious that Mattel is simply trying to keep up with trends with this line, they're doing a good job of it. All of these dolls look original compared to other lines and they're clearly at increased quality compared to main line Barbie. I'm excited for them! Also, Chelsea looks like one of my childhood Barbies whose head I accidentally popped off and had to stick back on 😂
Fab Girl Barbie did the magazine concept so much better than LUV because Barbie actually had a second outfit and accessories in the box, and it was actually shaped like a rectangular magazine so it didnt look so empty

1:59 I just really wish that Brooklyn and Barbie were different girls. Barbie has been in the same cinematic universe for over 6 years and it’s annoying. Some different universe again would be nice and as a possible spin off- that would have been a nice opportunity
