    Sir the gap between two edges is it because you did it on rubber pad ? Or knot became loose?

    • @devil_in_the_cqmu

      He just didn't tight the knot. When you practice make sure there is no gap :)

      @@devil_in_the_cqmuno ur wrong...if u tight hardly then the tissue gets necrosis...so don't tight hardly

      The edges of the wound should just touch when the knot is tied - there should not be a gap - the video shows an error. You are correct that the knot should not be pulled tight either - just enough to appose the edges. Yes, I am a surgeon!@@techimposter5582

    Fun fact: The surgeons knot was invented by Dr. Charles von Surgeon PhD, in 1886 after assessing the need to secure high tension wires to the Eiffel Tower during its construction

    You are supposed to hold the needle holder still, wind the suture material around and then tie. Not the other way around. Is what I have read.

      Looks like they have a good technique when it comes to the surgeons knot they just need to be more tight to aid with wound healing

    Tips for tensioning slippery thread? Is there a beloved type of thread or tricky/difficult thread that’s too slippery for a simple suture? Do running suturings get extra tension from the skin/tissue? Or are you most likely going to need a third or fourth hand to help push things together? I’m using the silk and nylon on my practice kit. Cannot get it to hold the wound closed with just the first part of the tension knot before it’s fully closed

    I just learned that the 1st tie your supposed to wrap the threat 3 times around then tie, then once and tie then once again and tie. Is that wrong?

    • @THEWHITEARMY
      @THEWHITEARMY  Před 8 měsíci

      When there is lot of tension in the approximating tissue three loops can be taken for secured knots.. it won’t slip

    • @MedSyncVT
      @MedSyncVT Před 3 měsíci

      That is not correct - you wrap it around twice and then tie - this is a surgeon's knot, you then need a single wrap around the needle holder once and tie- - a reef knot

    I have one small doubt please anyone can clear it.
    I had fistulectomy surgery on 10 feb 2024. Today is 50 th day my outside wound is completely healed. No pain.
    But dr when he checked inside the anus near internal stitches he said there he can feel the skin has overlap on each other due stitches. Bt he said we have to wait for 90 days since those are dissolvable stitches.
    So my doubt is does the overlapped skin on each other goes back to normal?
    Please ans my doubt. Any one please
