Looks fantastic. Would we install a panel as soon as it’s cut and landed on the roof, or does Western States want the contractor to catch and stack all the panels on the roof before the install begins?

Steve, we can do both. We can roll and have them stack or roll to roof and have them install.
If rolled to roof need to make sure have enough people to keep install fast and no delays.
We figure 8,000 lf a day. If there are delays due to start and stop of install that will decrease amount for footage ran in an 8 hour day and will then increase cost for additional days needed to roll on site.

Very impressive. I try to tell the young guys working with me: we’re not roofers, we’re problem solvers.@@WesternStatesMetalRoofing

What is a common long length that can be handled by hand.....from ground to one story roof?
Not the Guinness Record version but common long lengths that a crew would work with? tHanks

That is not what will determine whether you roll form on site. The material is light and with the right equipment you can get longer lengths on the roof fairly easily. The most important factor is that it's best to do the standing seam in one sheet to eliminate a lap and a potential leak point. Furthermore, you cannot transport sheets that are over 48' or so in length. Therefore, if you have a roof with long panel lengths to the ridge and it cannot be transported on a truck it's a perfect candidate to roll form on site. Generally. you need a job that's about 50 squares or longer before someone is willing to come out and do that. Smaller jobs are harder to get an onsite rollformer to do.

      I'll ask around.
I have a 57' wide 70' deep section to roof.
