  • Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation®, the first minimally invasive treatment for receding gums is shown by dentist and Pinhole® inventor Dr. John Chao on the CBS show “We Are Austin”. To date, Dr. Chao has personally trained over 3,500 dentists from across the US and around the world. Dr. Chao is continuing to train dentists with new online Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation® courses. For information on finding a local trained dentist or for dentists interested in learning more about Pinhole® training please visit www.pinholegumrejuvenation.com
On the show, Dr. Chao shows how gum recession is corrected without scalpels or sutures with the virtually painless Pinhole® technique. Using special dental instruments invented and patented by Dr. Chao, receding gums are brought to their correct position in just minutes per tooth treated, all done through tiny pinholes that heal quickly with little to no downtime.

Gum recession is not only a problem of soft tissue, which can be lifted with pinhole technique. The main problem is the recession of the alveolar bone. So a complete treatment of recession need to include a treatment of the lost bone under the gum as well. My question is, if it is possible / usual to combine the pinhole technique with the PRF bone augmentation technique established for implantology ? Thereby a bone "concrete" mixture from mineralized human/aminal bone sand with living bone cells and blood extracts from the patient is used to generate complete new living and solid alveolar bone to hold implants. Furthermore the standard pinhole technique use merely collagen stripes to stuff the gum up. Does this collagen packing transfer to living strong gum tissue ? If not, could it be possible to mix this collagen stripes with palate tissue cell material, which works like bone cells to induce the developement of living new gum tissue ? Meaning all together stuff the upper gum part with a mixture of collagen stripes, palate tissue cells and blood extracts. And augment the alveolar bone region with a bone concrete of minerals, bone cells and blood extracts. The bone augmentation works and is widely used inside implantology but is nearly never seen for treatment of recessions and similar bone degeneration. It would be a big wish, that recessions could be healt completely. Meaning bone and tissue is restored to a living strong and young constitution. This is also worthfull, because adult orthodontics and conservative orthodontics tend to generate recessions because bone traumas. It would be a great item, that such orthodontic bone damages can be healt completely for patients of any age. The treatment must become a standard procedure, which can be done to an price, which can be payed from every one.
