Thank you thank you. I was traveling with my oldest kiddo by Bryce Canyon today and my battery light and O2 light came on. I tested and found it was the alternator! Made it to a nice reasonably sized town and got a replacement. Did the swap in the parking lot with your video (EJ22 power plant from a 95 Legacy). It was oerfect. Thanks to much.

is the only replacement part I need the alternator or do i have to install a new belt too?

You should also inspect the belts, pulleys and tensioner and replace if needed

I'm asking because my car has never leaked oil.. untill i had a alternator put in.. I'm curious if somehow my oil filter,line or something was accidentally hit when my alternator was installed.
