This signifies to the male that the female is ready to mate.

They attract so many parasites that their waking day is spent pulling & eating bugs from others. Think about that - those disgusting vermin would rather eat garbage that is easy to get, instead of taking time to forage and eat in the wild. Baboons will attack children too - if they think a child has food they will rip their clothes to get it. And since baboons are natural bullies & cowards, they tend to attack when there are at least 7-10 baboons. If they stay in the wild, fine because that's where they belong, but any baboon that raids a human area or attacks people should be euthanized immediately.
