Same here.. spent my birthday relaxing at home, exhausted after Thanksgivings. I wasn't sure if Thrift stores had deals today, I'll know for next year!! Loved the books for decor, the pewter, the wooden candle was unique & the clothes are adorable 🛍

The large blue and white plate was very familiar to me. Growing up, we had mismatched dishes. Somewhere along the way, my mom bought the large blue and white plate to use as a platter. HOWEVER, my dad latched onto it to use as his dinner plate. He enjoyed the fact that his plate was bigger than everyone else's! Thanks for the memory!

My daughter is a photographer, she takes the pictures and makes a hard cover photo album-book.
It is the best way to protect and keep photos, as well appreciated gifts.Every picture is carefully selected and she has done. a volume every year so it just continues by year.

Had an awesome Thanksgiving Day. Another family dinner tomorrow. Made pumpkin rolls today...that was a trip...I had powdered sugar everywhere,,,even on the cat...no kidding...he wanted bologna, and would not leave my side. lol
I knew when I saw that bottle, that would be holding vanilla soon, and I knew the platter was going home with you. I love those too. Plates are beautiful, I agree.

I am a scrapbooker. I print them and jazz up the pages. I sell Creative Memories! We even offer digital scrapbooking.I love it!! ❤. That little petite plume dress is adorable! It's actually a nightgown, but she could definitely wear it as a dress. They also retail for almost $60!

all of my photos get uploaded to Google + photo storage. I then create an "album" on Google + and add the photos to albums for fast viewing and look up. I only very rarely print a photo to frame. My old family photos I did place into albums. I created one for my Dad, one for my Mom, then continued with their wedding photos on my Mom's album. I included cards my Dad gave my Mom, and paperwork of my Dad's ancestor's from Italy that I share with extended family.

Last Christmas my son and daughter in law gave a electronic photo frame to us for Christmas. Its wonderful there is app connected to the frame so all my kids and family can send photos to us thru an invitation code and my husband and I can add photos also. I love it because the photos rotate about every minute.
I take my pictures off my phone, and then frame some of them. Love looking at my memories❤
My mother in law momma Greaves loves watching you all day thifting and making your homemade dishes and preserve.I had to subscribe to your channel just for her..you make her day !! We go thrifting normally on Wednesday and Thursday and we alwsys look up- like up when thifting Julie says!! but due to holiday we went 11/27/22

The pewter "cream pitcher and matching sugar dish" will look sooooooooooooo cute sitting on your coffee station with "milky white colored candles in them....or on your shelf...loved them.

I like to print my pictures every few years. I use an on line photo shop and get my favorites done. I just like the memories captured and you never know if something happens to your phone and you've lost them forever. I thrift photo albums for them. I'm glad you and your family had a great Thanksgiving
I saw creator use old white platters/plates/saucers to make a Christmas tree shape on the wall with a few greenery sprigs. It was gorgeous!
I print my pictures about 3 times a year , and I put them in a decorative box to keep them in a dark place and we pull them out when we wanna look. Also I have one of those silver casserole holder and I put cook books in it on my pie safe in the kitchen! Good finds maam!

Photos: finally took my box of loose photos and put in (thrifted) albums and then set out where we can see and access them and my daughter utelizes them now and will reference them in conversation. As for digital, I make a folder on my computer for each month of the year and save to them. Makes it easy to reference for the annual calendar I make my mom and then I also make digital hardback photobooks online to commemorate different occasions.

A lone covered sugar bowl would also make a good container for a homemade candle.
It does take time to go through the clothes at thrift stores, but SOOOOOO worth it. You are such a good thrifter you really should take some time and look for yourself. I'd say 90% of my wardrobe is thrifted.

My husband dropped some things off at Goodwill and was going to go in to look around but the parking lot was packed and there were long lines for parking spots so he gave up. Great video, as always. That large blue and white plate is the same as our every day dish set. I put the set together from different thrift stores.

Fill them with all our photos in order.and will continue hereon. Nothing like an album. I appreciate it much more, more personal. You never know what will happen with internet and loose everything. I believe your blue/white large plate is Johnson Brothers - I had an entire set of those dishes and I still have that platter
My daughter came up from Virginia for a couple of days. We went to the big Goodwill store in State College. They had black Friday sale...50% off everything ! The store was so busy and a lot of bargains. I had to wait for a cart and stood 1 hour a d 20 minutes to check out..we had fun..people buying air conditioners, vacuums and a lot of other stuff. Love the primitive picture. Take carè.

Hi Julie, your thrift stores are great! I’ve been watching your videos for about a year. I’ve also been going back and watching a few of your older ones. I saw a couple that you broke some plates. My mother used to use regular canned milk to glue back pottery type dishes. I always thought she was silly, only because I could never get it to work. But she always did. I guess I was just to impatient. You and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

When I first subscribed, you were struggling to find anythng w/o blue, and now look at you!---I was on-call yesterday, but after making a F/U call, I had a quiet day. Phew! I ate take-out Chinese food with my 91 y/o Mom, & Sis wanted to tag along, so she ate with us before joining her family. My favorite Chinese restaurant is pricey, but he cooks up heaping plates full, & my leftovers last for 4-5 days, making the price cheaper than a burger meal!---Weather has been in the 70's, but will turn back into the low 60's tomorrow. Here's hoping the rain is kind to you. (PS: that New England vignette you put together is a good match!)

Hi Julie. So glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. This year I finally taught my 32 yro daughter how to to make all of Thanksgiving. She took direction so well and it turned out amazing. Now she can start her own Thanksgiving tradition for her family and host. Ive been looking for a casserole metal holder to do the exact thing with the books. Got all my totes out for xmas decorating this weekend. Love all the prim you got. Gonna teach my Chloe how to make candles this yr too. I use wax melts. Love you girl

Please teach us how to make Christmas candles with lard. I have pretty tea cups I picked up for free at a flea market. I want to make candles but can't find cheap candle wax where I live. I don't want to spend a fortune on soy wax plus shipping and import duties.

It's so unfortunate that pictures are digital, its a great way to take photos but, so many memories lost/stuck in a phone. I remember the days of pulling out moms photo albums and reminiscing. I too have so many photos digitally, I recently discovered free prints and am trying to get as many of my pictures printed and put into photo albums.

Post covid in my house so it was store bought lasagna, salad and garlic knots. Lol I took all my pics out of the albums dividied them among my three kids. The group shots of them I kept, but individual pics of them were sent to each one and they could decide what they wanted to do with them. With four grandchildren I am just over run with pictures. Some of those are still in albums and some separated by child and put in those Michaels photo boxes. I did the same with photos of old relatives. There are still quite a few newer photos on my phone. We have Goodwill friends here so everything was 50% off. Salvation Army had 25% off. Some thrift stores where closed. Look forward to watching you make candles. One thing I forgot. Years ago I had albums of pics of each of my kids to about the age of five. I gave them to them when they were in their early twenties. I also made them albums of the cards they got when born and birthday cards I saved from one year to 5 years old. I included the hospital feet bands and name cards that were on their little bassinets in the hospital. I got the idea from my mother who did the same for me and my siblings. That is now in what I call my memory trunk; things for them look at when I'm old (pretty sure I'll be around till at least 100 good genes) LOL Oh boy I talk alot. LOL

My goodwills didn’t have any sales but the Salvation had 50 percent off everything!!! Such great finds. Found a brand new stressless chair and ottoman( leather) for $100!!!

I have enough of everything. In fact I've been busy trying to get rid of most of my things. I love shopping with you. I especially love the pewter set. Julie, hi thanks for sharing your thrift haul with us. Our Thanksgiving was peaceful since there is only my father and I left. So it was just a lot of eating and TV watching. No black Friday shopping for me since there’s hardly anyone to purchase items for. I cannot think of anything that I need right at this point, and I’ve also have too much excess in my life right now. I’m not a minimalist and I’m not looking to downsize anytime soon but I’m also not trying to bring anything else in. I really enjoy your thrift halls and look forward to them every week. Maybe I’ll go out this year and purchase a few things that have to do with the white sales after Christmas. Plus spring is my favorite time of the year.
