Gold is NOT a great investment. No rate of return other than increase in spot price and 28% Capital gains tax! It’s value is in that, for the most part, it retains it’s value over time.
You know you can buy Capital Gains Tax Exempt pieces right?

Wrong capital gains tax only is for gold bars not coins u can by as many coins as u want and sell them and make lots and pay no tax it’s cos they can be used as normal currency like 1 oz gold coin is worth £100 if u wanted to spend it normally so it’s all good with coins
