- Hello everyone! 🙋🏼♀️
As you may have guessed, I have two children ... One of them is still a baby🤗 Which means that things like diapers, wet wipes, creams can be seen everywhere in our house ... 🙈😊
And to put all this in order, I decided to sew a special diaper organizer! ☝️
I am very pleased with the result! It is convenient, practical ... The organizer can be carried with you everywhere, washed, and when the child grows up, the organizer can be used for other utensils.

I am about to make this for a co-worker who is expecting and took the liberty of converting the pattern into Imperial measurements. Not because I don't understand Metric (I'm Canadian so we're Metric), but because all of my rulers are in Imperial. So for anyone not wanting to bother themselves, here it is:
Zipped Wipe Pocket - 2 pieces: 11" wide by 6.75" high - PLUS paper template to mark opening
Paper Template for Zipped Wipe Pocket - 11" wide by 6.75" high with oval opening of approximately 4.3" wide by 2.75" high
Diaper Pocket - 2 pieces: 11" wide by 6.25" high
Soother Pocket - 2 pieces: 4" wide by 3.5" high
Diaper Cream Pocket - 2 pieces: 6.75" wide by 3.5" high
Handles - 2 pieces: 11.75" long by 2.5" wide
Body of Organizer - 2 pieces: 11" wide by 22.5" long - PLUS light weight interfacing of same dimensions if using - curve point is 4 cm - about 1.5" - I will be experimenting with this
Zipper - 12"
I think this is a gorgeous pattern and can't wait to make it later today.
I am a little confused that which pieces are interfaced ? Is the pouch with the zipper got interfaced? And all other pieces are constructed with an outer fabric and a lining fabric? What is the seam allowance for this project? I have already made it and the only issue I have is after I put on the snap, it is a bit tight or hard to close on the snap because with stuff inside the bag. I may move the snap position a bit closer to the upper edge. Did you used cotton fabric? I am thinking to use some light waterproof canvas for outside fabric !
What kind of fabric are you using for the outside? I think just cotton would be to flimsy.
