After marking all of the holes and drilling one, I attached the original baseplate with the one screw. Then used it as a drilling guide for the other 3 holes. Perfect every time!
Oh, that's a good idea! I like it.
Ha ha I’m in the “A” group and “had to” have my base plate facing me lol
That’s how I roll.
Great video Guys!!!
HAHA Thanks Shirley!
I bought a Vevor trim router. I have not been able to figure which one of your base plates would fit it. This vid answered that. I regret buying it because it doesn't have an LED lite. I bought the LED lights you recommended and it was much better. The Vever cost $90 with a plunge base and another angle routing base. The angle cutting base comes with the back open. That was a nice feature. It works but I am probably buying a Makita, Dewalt or Bosch. Thanks for good info as usual.
Awesome! I'm glad it helped, Bob. Wednesday's video will be the review on the Bauer cordless router, and it's pretty sweet, too. There's a lot of great options out there. Let us know what you decided to go with.
Come on you guys …..8 views and no Likes. Ryan did a great job 😀😀😀
Thanks Brent!
Great video! Ryan, you're getting better in front of the camera.
Thanks Bob! It took a little while, but I'm slowly getting more comfortable
Thanks again for another demonstration, I bought a compact router just like that one and planning on getting a face plate for it. Can’t wait until I can see your review on that router.
We did 2 reviews on the cordless Bauer. I wouldn't recommend it. Get either the corded Bauer, Hercules, or for a cordless option, the DeWalt is a great one and the Flex is the best in my opinion
@@oldave100 I have the corded Bauer, sometimes wonder if I should’ve gotten the Bosch compact. Might have to try a Dewalt someday.
I did mine on a drill press and used a Forstner bit to countersink for the round head screws! I did the sink hole first!
That's a good way to do it
After coming across your collaboration with 731, I thought what a great project for my middle school woods club. I just picked up 3 MakitaRT701C'S , an XTR01 and four of your baseplates. Had nonstop by and see if there was anything I should know before installing them. Thanks again for the content and the inspiration for their curriculum
Thank you so much for watching, for the compliments and of course for the business. We have predrilled base plate for those routers. Hope those were the ones you got. Super easy to install. Just remove the screw and stock base plate. Be sure to keep the original base plate then reinstall our base plate with the original screws. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions, eric@makeawoodsign.com. Thank you again❤
Good job guys. I had to use similar technique to attach a router to a router table insert. Thanks.
Thanks Robert! It's a pretty simple process, just gotta drill the holes correctly HAHA
Just what I needed thanks for the demo!!! Great tutorial 👌 👍
Thanks buddy! I appreciate it
Great demo Ryan.
Thanks Frank!
Thank you so much!!!
No problem at all 👍👍

Nice camera work! Very good training video
Thanks Mickey!
Luckily I have the DeWalt trim router so I got your pre-drilled base plate but still got some helpful tips on drilling acrylic so thanks!
Thanks Lori, glad we could help!
Good demo you guys ! I've not seen any questions here ... so ... that tells ya that you have the subject covered ! And boy, do I ever hear Dave come out in all the talking.. :)
HAHA ya, we both sound exactly like grandpa!
Good video I need to order a base plate just need to get it done
HAHA we're here when you're ready
Nice job EZ E...🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks Dan-O!
You could have marked from the bottom through the holes. Looks good guys. Debating if I should buy one or make it... 🤔
Well, we have several baseplates for other routers pre-drilled, so depends on what you need one for.
Why not sell the bases with the holes already drilled out.
We have about 16 pre drilled baseplates for different routers. This is the blank we sell in case we don't have the particular one for your router. You can check them all out at makeawoodsign.com
i just ordered the dewalt 611pk palm rotar, will this fit it.does it come drilled ready to install.
This one is a blank but we have one drilled specifically for that router. You can check it out here makeawoodsign.com/products/acrylic-router-base-plate-for-dewalt-dwp611
I didn’t receive the centering jig with mine. 😢
We actually don't send them with the blanks anymore. There should've been a QR code on the back to scan and that will take you to a video showing you a much easier way to set them up
This is the video right here czcams.com/users/shortst4AimOgK-xc

Hmmm, I bought three of those baseplates from you and never got a jig.
Oh man. I apologize about that. It definitely should've come with it! Do you still need one?
