      @Dylan Jones But how exactly does sacrificing 1/3 of your population make you worthy? It's not even a good plan to begin with. If the idea was to inject a virus into the flood in order to "infect" the Flood, they should have only infected one planet, or one person.
      If the idea was to PLEASE the Primordials by sacrificing a 3rd of their population... that's a massive leap of faith. But they are also dwindling their reserves, just incase the Precursers decide to continue on with their genocide, even after they were offered the 1/3rd.
      I recon that most of Humanity didn't even agree or get a say on if this plan should be executed.

      Donald Baird what he’s really trying to say is that the flood were precursors. They were so so intelligent that there technology is pretty much Incomprehensible. There technically is Made of neural physics in which the universe is a living being and that made them travel through the stars and explore the whole halo universe. The had a belief called the mantle of responsibility in which who ever held the mantle is in control of protecting the universe and life itself. Now to make everything short. They were going to give it to the forerunners but they proved unworthy and passed it to humanity. The forerunners killed the precursor out of anger and took the mantle for them selves. The surviving precursors turned them selves into a dust which millions of years later turned into the flood due to the corruption of the dust. So now they attack the humans but let em go and then attacked the forerunners for revenge for what happened millions of year ago.

      @fadelsukoco3092 Před 5 lety +99

      True, especially considering the only, ONLY advantage Humanity had was in weapons tech because they could actually understand Precursor tech somewhat, unlike the Forerunners. The Flood had already severely-crippled their empire by the time they started fleeing to Forerunner border space. The Humans were trying to take more resources to make up for what they lost to the Flood. Since they were losing to the Flood abd neefed more worlds to fight them off and given Humanity's tech level, they would have lost at least 50% of their Empire to the Flood, and this is only the beginning of the Human-Forerunner war. By the late parts of it, Humanity had about 20K worlds in at least a thousand systems (and all the other natural resources in the space between) but it is not known if this was before or after they sacrificed a third of the remainder of their Empire to the Flood with countermeasures which kinda-worked, but were NOT a cure. They were designed to not give the Flood more biomass. The Flood then retreated on its own to preserve the Humans for the Precursors' plan and fool everyone into thinking there was a cure. But back to the main topic: Ancient Humans had 20-30 thousand worlds well into the Human-Forerunner War. And assuming that they lost at least 50% of their Empire to the Flood before moving to Forerunner territory, thst means they had, as a very conservative estimate, at least 60K worlds and whatever resources existed in the space between them before the Flood Happens. Yet by the time they fight the Forerunners, they are left with a crippled civilization and divided military trying to contain so many Flood outbreaks against over 3 million Forerunner worlds and their domain over the vast majority of the galaxy. That's being outnumbered at least 1000-1 by aliens more-advanced in tech and bio-engineering, supplemented with many times aa much automated assets like billions of warships the Forerunners could just throw at their problems, each carrying dozens to thousands of War sphinxes, each pair of which could merge and shatter continents. Ancient Humans fought off the Forerunners while constantly losing bit by bit for over a millennium, and that's AFTER the Didact used star-hopping to target only thr most-important Human worlds and cut or slow to evolutionary crawls all Human slipspace travel using casual reconciliation jamming. Then the Full might of the best of the best and most-powerful Forerunner forces battered thenselves useless again and again for 53 years on Charum Hakkor. A single Human world, devoid of any support, was able to resist countless and constant Forerunner attack for 53 years. By that time, the Ecumene was starting to seriously strain their economy fighting the supposedly-primitive and barbaric Humans. It is said in the books that the Human-Forerunner War weakened the Ecumene so much it was a considerable factor as to why the Ecumene was so unprepared for the Flood 10,000 years later.

      A unified imperium of man with the emperor actively leading it would merely flick the ancient human empire from halo aside.
      However if the two ever hypothetically fought, the emperor would likely use his op bullshit plz nerf charisma and emperor magic to facilitate a unification between the imperium and the ancient human empire.
      (I know it seems like fanboyism that I say the imperium would swat aside the AHE, however a unified IoM has legions of adeptus astartes with their primarchs to lead. The imperium in this state fields LEGIONS of Adeptus Mechanicus TITANS with upwards of 1000 titans per legion.
      The only major advantages the AHE from halo would have over the imperium is, 1. Faster and easier to use FTL technology that can be used from inside a planets orbit if absolutely necessary to do so. 2. AI. Although the adeptus mechanicus wouldn't get as bat shit crazy about AI if the emperor could be convinced that the halo AI was stable.
      While the two advantages here are major advantages, I do not believe for a second that it would be enough to overcome the imperium of man being lead by the emperor.)

    • @HaloForgeUltra
      @HaloForgeUltra Před 5 lety +47

      @@Benthesniperof8
      Your forgetting that the ancient humans had weapons from studying precursor relics that surpassed by far even the forerunners weapons. Their ships could destroy planets in a single blast, whereas IoM requires special ordinance for Exterminatus. They also had combat skins which in the forerunner ranking goes from 1-18. Master Chiefs Mark VI MJOLNIR ranked a solid 2 on that scale, and rank 8 was recommended for fighting flood. The Didacts combat skin despite being a 100,000 years old and probably not his full armour was able to manipulate gravitational fields and crush MC to the ground.
      I don't know what their canon abilities will be since 343 made Forerunners quite a bit weaker than they were in the books, but going by ranking, the Ancient humans could have fought on the same level as Adeptus Astartes, and been a threat to Primarchs, their best advantage would be slip-space (no demons in transit), which is far faster allowing the forerunners almost instant travel, and for ancient humans not too far from that. They also had true AI as servitors, which far surpass the cyborgs in the Mechanicus. Their ships would simply overpower any IoM, even if they were somewhat equal on the ground due to Primarchs, the more powerful Astartes and Psychers and the difference in the number of troops the IoM can throw at an enemy to win.
      That said I agree they would almost certainly come up with a peace agreement. The IoM is extremely good at convincing people to worship the emperor, and only use violence and subjugation as the last resort. They would also provide a huge ally against Demons, Eldar, Orks, Tyranids, Necrons etc. If the Big E still has enough healthy cells they could probably revive him without heretical xeno tech as well. Basically the Imperium would win the galaxy by default.

    • @therealderjett
      @therealderjett Před 5 lety +9

      Unless I overlooked it everyone missed one major option. The home field advantage question. Who is the invader in this fight between these two civilisations? The invader has limited resources while the defending side has everything that can be offered up in defense. Ancient humans defending would win without any doubt. IOM defending seems to have an 80 to 95 percent chance of winning if the attack comes from outside the current universe. If the attack was a massive fleet attack with ancient humans trying to take back Sol System and then hold it against invasion the tide of battle changes to an almost 50/50. The ancient humans would control space and the sky's above every world in the system. Once they have a base of operations and the ability to manufacture ships and weapons the entire battle becomes a siege. Trap a planet and take it or just wipe it out with a single attack. The IOM is going to have numbers as the only advantage in this type of attack.
      If arguments are made saying other races would be the difference maker in an ancient humans invasion of the IOM you also have to add the super advanced civilisations from Halo into the mix and the simple fact that they don't have any well known races that are weak and not possible of defending or attacking at the same or better level as the ancient humans the fight seems to overwhelmingly tilt in the favor of Halo. Remember that the IOM isn't well known for its ability to adapt and advance tech found in war. Ancient humans became the power they are based on the fact that they always pushed forward with new and better tech from more advanced civilisations.

Unfortunately it would face the same problem as a warhammer 30k film collection it would have to be done by a good director and stay true to the lore something on that scale halo, 30k it could so easily be done badly think about what happened with the doomed movie they changed one thing in the story the removal of hell and demon's and because of that it ruined the movie and that's what I mean a movie about the human forunner war would have to stay true to the lore rather than trying to appeal to a larger audience which is what I think went wrong with the doom movie instead it should aim to please the fan base and if its done right then more than likely you would get none halo fans or people that know the games but not the lore so much enjoying it. Still though who knows maybe they will make a film in the future though I also agree with another comment made that a game based in this time would be pretty good as well in fact I'll settle for that for now lol

    4:41 it was actually 53 years, just pointing that out.
    Also, it says in Halo Mythos and the Forerunner trilogy that the only reason that the Forerunners were able to break through Charum Hakkor's defense and not drain Their military and economy on the world in however long it takes for then to root out and kill every single last human on the planet, which would have cost them much for every human killed, was that the Didact made a deal with the San Shyuum government on Janjur Qom to spare the San Shyuum the fate of devolution in exchange for the routes and secret passages to get past the Indestructible Precursor defenses of Charum Hakkor. This also meant that the San Shyuum condemned all their own troops who still fought beside Humanity

In the end, the Forerunners didn't even overpower humanity; they had to enlist the treason of the San Shyuum. That condemned every human and every loyal San Shyuum left on the planet.
      Even after Charum Hakkor fell, 40 Prime Cruisers and 10 First-Rate Tuned Platforms escaped and fought the last battle in a system with the wolf-faced planet. In their end, they burned every world in the system to deny the Forerunners the resources of that single, last system.

    Something I’ve always wondered. When ancient humanity started invading forerunner territory, running from the flood. Why didn’t they just at least ask the forerunners for help. Their argument could’ve been. That once the flood consumes all of humanity and san’shyuum They will come for you. Together we can defeat them, otherwise we will be forced to invade your lands despite knowing it would likely be the end of us both. You know what I mean? I know there was bad blood between them, but I feel like an accord could’ve been met. It just always seem kind of silly that instead of saying hey we got a mutual enemy that’s going to come and destroy us both they just start a war on two fronts. I wish they would elaborate more on that because it’s always bothered me. Imagine ancient humanity, san’shyuum and Forerunners against the flood. I think the flood would’ve been wiped out.

      Basudeb Sarkar Prometheans were a rate of warrior servants in Forerunner society that later became composed and turned into those machine like creatures we see in Halo 4 and 5. It’s stated that Prometheans armor were Tier 13 as opposed to Master Chiefs Tier 2 on the scale of forerunner power armor. Since the forerunners beat and that it’s been stated in the Greg Bear Halo novels that ancient humanity wasn’t quite as advanced as Forerunners we can assume that human warriors weren’t quite as powerful. Now onto Primarchs. Primarchs were able to single handedly conquer entire planets by themselves and not just earth like planets but straight up savage ass planets. Primarchs were almost unkillable in every aspect of the word and we’re basically on the level of Demi gods. Vulcan has the ability to cause earthquakes by hitting the ground and plenty other Primarchs have done shit like decapitate, lift or melt Titans with their strength and mind. No where does it say Promethean knights could do shit like this. At best Ancient Humanity are stronger then space marines but they ain’t Primarch level. Bruh the Didact got taken out by a grenade while Primarchs could have similar shit happen and brush it off.
