My Dad went to war as a young man he came back a different person his heart was broken by the atrocities he witnessed. He would cry every day over it. When my children asked him why he was crying he told them about seeing dead women and children scattered across the streets. War sucks.

BBC showed a video of a single mother whose mechanic son was shot dead outside of her home. She had to haul his body in a wheel barrow, buried him in her garden. Really heart breaking to see her cry.
i watched twice as I feel I needed to read her words and stay with her in whatever way i could, i was so heartbroken for her as i am for so many ~ many families stayed to look after family and animals and most likely had no idea of the horrors that were to visit them. 💛🙏💙

I am thankful for photos and videos that while gruelling to watch can communicate to us the true horror that these poor people have had to endure as it’s important that their story is told.

From being professionals the russian soldiers became brutal and resorted to atrocities on helpless Ukranian civilians
