I’m so thankful for the blood of Jesus Christ. He willingly laid down His life for us. He knew we were sinners and made a way for us to walk in repentance. His mercy, grace and love say it all. Remember with COMPASSION, He told Peter he would deny Him and when Peter remembered what the Lord said, he wept bitterly. It’s our Lord’s love and compassion that brings us to repentance giving us forgiveness of our sins. What a mighty God we serve.

As much as I love this song, remember that it wasn’t “they” who crucified our Lord, it was “us”. Every time we sin we spit on Jesus and mock Him, while brutally whipping and ripping apart His flesh, driving long, sharp thorns into His skull, forcing Him to carry an unbearably heavy, bone crushing cross and ultimately nailing His precious and sinless body to that same cross. This is what we do when we commit sin.
Why does Peter say this in Acts 2 then? "This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross."
While I don't want to diminish the fact that sin is grievous, and of course Jesus died for our sins so that we may be saved, it is unbiblical to claim that we share the bloodguilt of killing an innocent man. He willingly went to the cross, and it was evil men who rejected Him as Messiah who are guilty of His murder.
