W
Why???
W
You's a keeper
W girlfriend, he's a lucky one
Thanks for the explanation, my favorite book is binding 13 and even though I’ve read it three times I never really knew what rugby was
Haven’t played rugby since I was a kid but I want to play rugby again thx for the info

It's a very tough sport!
thanks, i’m a american who watches football, trying to figure this sport out 😂
Same here! I’ve been watching some rugby, thought it was interesting 😅
Which NFL team you a fan of, just curious 😅
Well good job rugby is 1000% better than American football
@@Me-nl9zzmmmmmmmm true rugby looks pretty cool but I’m American so I still love the NFL
stop the cap@@Me-nl9zz
@@monther326niners
I play rugby! And guys it’s a great explanation! but when it comes to the tackle this is pretty wrong when you get tackled you will not just pass it out you will hold on to is and present it to your team just letting y’all know
Half of it is explained as rugby league and half is rugby union
ty soo much i have rugby tryouts next week and i didnt understand it at all lol
In the UK (at least in my school) rugby was mandatory for PE in secondary school in the winter, an hour every week, but I love this game so much I did rugby club in primary school and interhouse rugby every year in secondary. It seems to be a rite of passage that an 'initiation' into secondary school is having a boiling hot (literally) gumshield held in your mouth for rugby as part of the school uniform!
This helped me very much ty
🎉
Thank you for explaining. I told my friends that I am good at rugby( only because I am good at football) and I didn’t know the rules.
LMAO REAL
Thank you for explaining
Thank you so much for explanation:)
Thanks for clear explanation
Number 2 rugby player here, helped me alot with practice tysm
Here before South Africa vs New Zealand final as a South African
Gonna have a Rugby class next Friday
Thank you so mach!!!!!
I have to play a rugby fixture on friday [was chosen randomly] no clue how to play so thanks this helps so much
In union, you have to fall to the ground then place the ball back to your team.
Super explanation.
I wanna learn cuz my high school is bringing 70kids to Ireland on the rugby teams and I go into grade 10 next year and that would be awesome fr
Thank you
man i got practice today never played the sport thanks
im playing rugby bfor my school this yr so thanks
As an American I was told Rugby is super confusing compared to US Football but it pretty much the same besides you can't throw forward.seems very interesting
In a tournament rn, gotta quickly learn how to play
Thanks my parents needed this desperately because they were confused
I have to film a commercial tomorrow as a rugby player so yeah.. I’m here. Hello!
watching during the worldcup lmao
Thanks it's the rugby world cup final tmrw
Got a match on Monday thanks
Those goal posts though 💀
Wow! Thanks for the elaborate explanation which covers all of the basic rules…..//sarcasm mode off: There are much better videos on CZcams regarding rugby rules. Thanks for the effort though
Sounds like a bunch of kids playing football where they make up there own rules as they go
It sounds fun ash
As an American water polo player, this is so much cooler than American football.
Im lucky seeing this video
Thank you for explaining, my girlfriends dads sport is rugby and I want to impress him 💀
Atleat I've got an understanding now
Cool!!!
im a tongan teenager lmao and i wanna play dis sport mane.gotta learn basics
So...They don't stop at all or as often as American football?
I'm going to a rugby festival but I don't even know how to play rugby, I'm only going for my friend lol
Nice
And scrums and line outs?
This is rugby union in particular
If you gonna start be careful when scoring a try you can’t just throw it down you have to be in control of the ball when it’s put down
Would diving into the endzone count, or would that be too out of control?
You could dive, but in any case the player must press the ball against the ground in a controlled manner.
@@evandavis7Calling it an endzone would not be a good start.
This a a very good basic explanation but it seems that it is confusing a ruck with a scrum a bit. Yes a ruck is 1-3 players but it is fast and there not pushing back and fourth usually
They can/should push back and forwards trying to contest/win rucks that was correct what was incorrect with it is that you don't pass the ball back into a ruck you can pass the ball when you get tackled but you should go down and place the ball for your team to ruck 9/10 times
Not to say that you can't pass the ball back and start a ruck that way it's just impractical and naked you go backwards after gaining yards and gives the enemy team a chance to get possession of the ball
@@kingsai3715I mean a ruck is a quick battle for ball possession there is a lot of contact but if a team can’t get the job done in a few seconds possession is most likely lost so the point was it is quick and it’s not a pushing battle between the two sides as much as blowing tf outta a threat to ball possession
@@johnbennett7501 oh yeah in that context if your contesting a ruck why contest it for 30 seconds while your losing when you can set up on d that right there makes sense but when the ruck is initially formed you should contest it but if it doesn't go anywhere and someone is already passing the ball out then by all means stop contesting and set up on defense
Thank you I doing a rugby match in Friday!
How was it,mine is in 2 days
@@WNTDJRNY how was ur rugby game
How'd it go?
Mines tomorrow
@@captainmaomao5741how was it ? I’m 16 and gonna try to play when the season starts idk if I’m too old for a beginner?
At my brother’s game right now trying to learn whats happening
So this is basically like playing a team version of killerman
is a ruck a scrum?
First session tomorrow, wish me luck
i got accepted to a rugby team because im tall and fat but i dont how to play it this helped me a lot thanks
bruh don’t waste time on these vids just practice and learn from your friends its better
The goal is in the wrong spot lol
Guys my class teacher is rugby famous for kenya he is Biko Adema
Football without pads:
Thank u my friends signed me up for girls rugby and idk how to play
Here we have a clear case of the narrator getting it basically right with a few missteps, but the animator having no understanding of Rugby.
Those goalposts are in the wrong spot. Should be on the try line.
is rugby just more aggressive football?
Honestly, I understand this more than football.
Yeah it's pretty easy to understand, no where near as complicated as American football. But rugby is a really exciting, tough game and fun to watch.
Both my little brothers play rugby so I’m watching videos so I know what’s going on
About to play my first game...
I literally haven’t played in 8 years now i forgot how to and I’m trying to get On a team lmao
I'm Bangladesh Rugby player.
(SR Rugby Team)❤
Pleeeeease get it right in the graphic....the goalposts are ON the try line no after. 1:26
good explanation and all but how tf did they manage to score 108 💀
15 converted tries and a penalty. They didn't talk about penalty kicks in this video but they score 3 points
Also a try is worth 4 or 5 if it dependeds if your playing league or union
Saw people literally putting their life in the line to dash through some players only to drop a few yards ahead, had to learn the rules
Ich musste das schauen wer noch 😂
---
Ich musste sehen, wer noch dabei ist.
I don’t watch sports. However, it seems like Rugby is easier to understand than NFL because I don’t have to know about running plays, passing plays, defensive coverages and for that reason, I can see why rugby is more appealing to the world than NFL.
It’s hard for NFL to grow globally because it’s so hard to understand whereas rugby, it looks simple to understand and I can see why rugby is more appealing.
America needs to invest in rugby
NFL generates way more money then rugby
And it is a ruck but it’s casually called a scrum.
No. A scrum is something completely different.
How to kick higher
Thank You Thank You Becuase…
1. My friends are addicted to rugby same with my teachers
2.I’m looking to a new sport
Try zone no end zone
End zone?
So, football but a touchdown is a try? Got it
Notice how she got the white side vs the black side
i have a match today and have zero idea on how to play it
Dont understand the fascination in this sport , seems very rough I’m sticking to soccer
Let's say you like wrestling and a ball sport too; you have rugby. That's where the fascination lies in.
I was reading book "Binding 13" it's based on rugby ❤️
same
1:38 💀
Good up until covering releasing the ball and rucking... also you haven't touched on scrums at all!
01:10, wrong goalposts
learning this bc my bf plays it and i have no clue what it is
There's only so much you can cover in 2 minutes, but for those interested, releasing the ball 'immediately' and the ruck at end of video are oversimplified explanations and a bit misleading.
What’s a ruck isn’t it a scrum
Fuckin terrified because everyone is saying that I’m gonna break my spine
Why are there American football posts instead of rugby posts ???
Can you get graphic right at least? The goal posts are not placed correctly on the pitch and these are American football shaped ones🙄
You assume I know terms that I don't. Thanks for trying though.
My wife wants to be married to a Rugby player so I'm learning for her
Basically just english version of american football lmao
So is it basically football soccer?
Yeah, American football was inspired by Rugby
I am trying to understand why did I go for the team in blue for no reason 🤣
Psychology of colors. Blue represents calm, cool, trustworthy. Red represents anger, danger and dishonesty. Lol 😂
@@scottmeadows9346 thank you 😅
I'll take NFL football any day
You mean the less popular rip off
15 minute half time *
Edit: And what the hell is wrong with those goalposts!
