Thanks for providing such a professional review. The video quality at 720p is impressive & better than I expected. I can only imagine the 1080p version would be even better! Youŕe review has sold me on making this my first drone. My interest more in aerial photography/video than accrobatics. Cheers & thanks for excellent quality of your videos.

I just got this drone yesterday and I've downloaded the HFun app. I connected to the drone WiFi and while the settings said it was connected, the HFun app was just saying 'Connecting...' for a solid 20 minutes before I gave up. There are no instructions or help threads anywhere for this and I have no idea how to get it to work. Help, anyone?
Everything should be pretty easy and intuitive… If there are excessive issues with the app, then the unit may be defective and perhaps may need to be returned or exchanged…

The one with the most powerful features is probably the SG900S (as it has GPS, way points, follow me, return to home, etc).

I just buy it from second hand but second hand how I can know is is the 1080 or the 720p? Is any code I have to check? I know for sure is the wifi model and bring the batterie of 2200mha so more time to fly in very happy i Learn with the xc5-1 from SYMA and is very cool also for beginners this one also but the person have to know some bases like get from the xc5-1 upgraded version I love it tomorrow I’ll make my first fly let’s see but until know I’m very happy everything is charged for tomorrow’s flight ✈️ great video , thanks for take the the time and the good explanation about it 👌🏻💪🏻✌🏻👍🏻🫶🏻

Just what I was looking for, both the review and the drone. Might I suggest you complete your review with a brief pros and cons conclusion. For me this does everything I need, the con would be the low picture quality, which may improve with the 1080p I suppose. I'm buying here in May 2020, so it's pretty old already. Would you buy at this time?

Thanks for the review! Have one question, have the same drone, and one propeller is going harder then other 3, when launchin it starts with 1-2 seconds delay then other. Its a new one, so im wondering if it is a defect or its normal? Thanks
It might be (as I don’t recall that behavior on the model I have), but then again, there may have been a firmware revision and it does things differently… The main thing to look at is how it flies in general, if it flies stable without any major anomalies or shaking of the frame and if it flies for the amount of time as advertised, then it might be ok… If not, then there’s a defect and perhaps it should be returned or exchanged...
Inspect that propeller and motor to see if maybe something is caught on it (like a lint strand) or if there is some imperfection, damage, or if it is simply just defective…

i buy this model, but the issue was the drone app it shows does not support in my country. is there other app that sg support in goggle store. the current app that is not supported is the zl toy.

I currently own a DJI Osmo Action, But I really don't want to spend DJI ££ on a drone, So I've basically narrowed it down to three: (I've been doing a lot of research LoL) Visuo SG900 ,, ZLRC SG907 ,, Visuo XS809HW. Witch one would you choose from my three list🤔
I got one of these, and it worked GREAT...until the main IC chip inside smoked! I ordered the GPS/1080 version to replace it!

The mobile app allows you to record the FPV video transmission from the drone and then you can save it from the app’s gallery to your phone’s photo gallery…Thanks

Try it with another mobile device (phone or tablet) and see if it works with that, if not then there may be an issue with the drone where it may need to be returned or exchanged...

Can I fly the drone indoors. Especially a closed room?
It isn’t ideal, but you can certainly do it (especially since this is a brushed-motor drone)...
so which one is better and what is the difference exactly between the sg900 and sg900 s?
The SG900 has an additional camera underneath that is used to keep the drone stable in flight through ‘optical flow’ technology (but it can be disrupted in low-light conditions or if the drone is too high and cannot clearly ‘see’ the ground). The SG900-S has GPS which will allow it to know its point in space through latitude and longitude. This will allow the drone to either fly way-points or know exactly where it took off from (so that it can return to the home point if necessary)… If you are looking for a more premium feature, the SG900-S with GPS is the drone that can fly automated paths and can do more sophisticated things…

Yes this one does stream video to your mobile device and the Wi-Fi connection and range is fairly good… The SG900S (GPS version) does have an SD card slot (so that you don’t necessarily have to stream it to your device), but this one doesn’t…

Basically the flight mode is to actually fly it using just the mobile device (or phone), while the master mode is just to view the live video stream, while the phone is mounted on to the controller (and the drone would be flown with the actual controller)…

Try tinkering with it a bit (restart the drone & perhaps try another mobile device to see if it shows up), but if nothing seems to work, then the product may be defective…

No, the F192 (SG900-S) model does (which is the same exact model as this one, but it has GPS, while this one has optical flow with the additional camera)...

Nice flying... Still getting the hang of mine... Last time I put it up about 10m the wifi must've dropped out and it took off.. Thought I had lost it... But went for a walk and saw the lights still flashing on it so I was lucky. I was only operating thru the ph app but I'm guessing thru the handset it has a better range? I have 1080p twin cameras... And for anyone who rkns quality isn't that good.. I say bollocks... For the money it's pretty good... If you want professional pics.. Spend a shit load more coin and get a pro drone...
Was considering swapping boards out for the sg900 s gps model... Not sure if it's worth it tho since ya can get full unit for round $150 here in Australia..

Within the app’s gallery you can select the photos by keeping them pressed and the option to save to your phone’s gallery should come up…

Can you use goggles?
You can use VR goggles (where the cellphone is inserted), but it won’t work with 5.8 ghz Fat Shark goggles, etc (unless you add a 5.8 ghz camera to the quadcopter)...
