I love my country but at the same time I don't like it, don't get me wrong if we were being invaded I would go fight, but the problems of my country are so deep and systemic that people just don't really care anymore, and I want to leave to find a country where the values I was taught about are actually nurtured and protected, I grew up my whole life (was born in 98) seeing the images of cartel violence. The injustices of Mexico are many, I was lucky to be born to a good family in a good place, but many many people don't have access to proper education, basic services like running water or electricity, some don't even have access to proper healthcare facilities, yet politicians make their pockets fat with public money instead of helping our people and those try get killed by those sitting in the top of the structures of power. Being an honest politician is a death sentence because people didn't care enough when it mattered and now there aren't enough people left that care, the level of education and political engagement required to change the nation is not here, and because of those in power it never will be, people vote for politician because they gave them a basic amount of food during their campaigns, and when the politician is elected they forget about the people who elected them yet those same people still proudly defend the candidate they voted for blindly despite being tossed aside after their usefulness ran out, only to steal public money and live like rich people at the public expense. As tough as your life may be sometimes believe me that it could be worse, you could have been born in rural Mexico where for most the only thing that awaits is a life of generational poverty, or even worse you could be poor in a Mexican City where the cost of living is high yet the minimum wage is unliveable, I have worked minimum wage, and I have applied and look at many job postings and you are expected to work for scraps and to work longer hours than in most European countries and then be thankful and be willing to take whatever bullshit your bosses want to throw at you. I worked in car sales with a credit company for a while I was not even paid minimum wage for my labour hours, I was paid by commission and I spent a month trying to make sales while not really getting paid anything other than a pittance they have as a pitty salary that was lower than minimum wage, while being pressured to keep working from home and basically extending my work into my own personal time, I had a single day of rest and I had it set aside so I could go to my therapist and I was harassed my boss to keep working and doing stuff even though I was on my Therapist appointment, and when I told him I couldn't, he snapped at me telling me with "You are so dedicated to your work, thanks" even though it was my day off and I was dealing with a previous appointment, I had even spent money on advertising to try to get more traffic and make sales, but it never materialised, when he snapped at me I decided I had enough of that and quit.

We used to listen to the Mexican national anthem every morning at 6 AM on the radio station that we favored at work which, consequently, was out of Tijuana. I found myself whistling it randomly during the day. 🙂
I was a kid when i went to visit my mexican family and i would be awake at 5AM or 6AM waiting for the radio to play this while i was outside on a fresh morning in the porch at my grandma's house idk why i felt so touched and got full of pride when i heard this lmao. I swear i kid you not I've heard the mexican national anthem play everytime in my childhood and it was always in a place that was filled with pure silence while my whole family slept, other times i would have a city view or just a good view of the moon or sun while this played and even on night and morning drives. God i miss those good times ❤❤

I was a kid when i went to visit my mexican family and i would be awake at 5AM or 6AM waiting for the radio to play this while i was outside on a fresh morning in the porch at my grandma's house idk why i felt so touched and got full of pride when i heard this lmao.
I swear i kid you not I've heard the mexican national anthem play everytime in my childhood and it was always in a place that was filled with pure silence while my whole family slept, other times i would have a city view or just a good view of the moon or sun while this played and even on night and morning drives.
