After reading all the hype, I spent $200 on it for myself and for two gifts. Not sure which came first, my disappointment in the product or the disappointment in the brand's obvious PR manipulation, but I'm off the bandwagon.
First, the founder wrote about the new packaging - which isn't much different from the original packaging - paraphrasing, "This isn't just new packaging, it's a tribute to the Brazilian heritage and a bold step into the future." Excuse me, but that's B.S. A minor change in packaging is just that - a minor change in packaging - not a "bold step into the future" or a claimed Brazilian heritage when the founder is a New Yorker who merely lived in Brazil for two years and didn't even bother to make the product available in Brazil. That's how much she cares about Brazil. She did talk about the "psychology of beauty," which is just more public-relations manipulation.
So much for the touted "Brazilian" heritage. The products are overpriced, in my opinion, and cost 24 TIMES per ounce than an excellent, well-known body cream that comes in an easier-to-use pump.
