Thanks! Trying to 100% the game and got to the end of this level but only have 23/24 pickups. REALLY hoping I can still get to the one I missed so I don't have to start the whole level all over again.
Glad I'm not the only one trying to figure out a way to go back to that area as soon as that trapdoor opens. I can't for the life of me remember what I did back then when I played the original game. I guess it will forever remain a secret as to what is underneath that trapdoor......
A little update. I finally found out the function of that trapdoor. When you pull down the lever and the trapdoor opens it lets the light in so it's less dark in the room just beneath where the lever is. You can check it by pulling the lever up again to check the difference in lighting. When you get to the platform in the middle and look up you can see the trapdoor.
Unfortunately, no. I also got stuck at the end of the level with 1/3 Secrets. You would have to die by fall damage and then restart the level from that book.
There’s a very useful set of moves that you really need to perfect in order to defeat every enemy with the pistols: jumping over the enemy’s head, rolling, shooting at it until it nears you, then repeat the process. In open areas you can flip from side-to-side or just keep flipping backwards while shooting, but in corridors and tight spaces the overhead jump and roll is your best bet.
Bait the spawn and run back hang off ledge by bridge. Climb up shoot once with shotgun and let the mummy jump into you and you will fall down to the stepping platform below. Rinse & repeat mummy takes 3 shotgun shells to defeat. I took no damage with this method. For some reason the mummy pushes you off the ledge before you take damage and if you position correctly, you won't take fall damage either
I get it to spawn then I run back out to where the bridge and the panthers were its near impossible to complete this level without taking some damage just cause of the last Mummy.
