    Looks INCREDIBLE for her age, still with a GREAT figure (from what I've seen in other recent videos) and no "pillow face" or huge lips.

    How on earth has Lynda managed to stay so youthful? I'm not just referring to how she looks, although she looks amazing for her age (she's 67 years old now and she still barely looks older than 50), but also how cheerful, likeable and funny she is and how much she seems to enjoy interacting with people.

      Meh. Clearly, she is not the ONLY Wonder WOman. She wasn't even the first one. And now, she is not even the best known, since Gal Gadot's movie was such a global phenomenon, seen by more people than those who ever watched the TV show. Just the facts.

      @@daboys1215 "She is the ONLY Wonder Woman and always will be." Obviously, not anymore. Even before Gal Gadot came along and captivated 821 million dollars worth of moviegoers, "Lynda Carter is the only Wonder Woman" is factually INCORRECT because Ellie Wood Walker and Cathy Lee Crosby existed before Lynda. Now granted, Lynda was infinitely more popular as Wonder Woman than Walker and Crosby, but then Gal Gadot came along. Not only did Gadot kill it in "Batman v Superman" (a film that grossed over 850 million and exposed Gadot's scene-stealing performance to a global audience) but she commanded the screen in her Wonder Woman solo movie, which became not just a box office smash, but became a cultural phenomenon. In fact, as many fans as Lynda Carter has, Gal Gadot has become the one and only Wonder Woman for many people. And you know what, it is ok. Some people think Lynda is "the only Wonder Woman" and some people think that title belongs to Gal. Personally, despite the fact that I am old enough to remember the Lynda Carter TV show (which I do enjoy and appreciate), I am a huge fan of Gadot, and I prefer her embodiment of Diana. She is (to me), the best live-action Wonder Woman so far. And who knows, when the inevitable Wonder Woman film reboot happens, say, 15 years from now, a new generation of fans will probably think that whomever plays DIana then is "the one and only Wonder Woman." In any case, Lynda is not that person anymore. Not opinion; just facts. Lynda Carter is NOT the one and only WW; not literally or figuratively. Not anymore and you can stay mad about it, but it won't change the facts.

    • @daboys1215
      @daboys1215 Před 4 lety +1

      @@t.e.burgos3263 Sorry to disappoint you but you are wrong on so many levels it is laughable. Keep talking though it won't change a thing. LYNDA CARTER IS WONDER WOMAN. Other actresses will play her but they will never BE her.

    • @t.e.burgos3263
      @t.e.burgos3263 Před 4 lety

      @@daboys1215 LMAO I love how your response is "you are wrong" while you never address the facts that I present. FACTS. Obviously you must be a 65 year old gay fan of Lynda Carter who somehow has deluded himself into thinking that she IS a fictional character. Sadly, Lynda is just an actress who played Wonder Woman. She never was, is or will be Wonder Woman because ---Psst psst-- Wonder Woman is a fictional character. LMAO So, the facts are still there: both Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot are actresses who played Wonder Woman, Lynda is beloved by many fans for playing Wonder Woman in a mediocre TV film from the seventies, and Gal Gadot is beloved by many MORE fans for playing Wonder Woman in a big budget critically acclaimed film that became a global box office hit and bigger pop culture phenom than the TV show ever was. Just the facts, m'am.

      Greenlight, you are right. I actually went tonight and loved it. It was a great film. But I grew up with Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman so I just felt her playing the Mom would have been a great choice. But after so many great reviews I finally embraced it and I thought it was fantastic :)Plus they gave credit to Lynda Carter in the credits in the end too

    • @ZviJ1
      @ZviJ1 Před 7 lety +4

      I'm extremely glad Carter was given her due respect in the credits! Even Gadot cannot surpass her as WW; for all of Gadot's undoubted merits, she did not undergo Carter's grueling physical training and strict nutritional regimen for years on end (which helped her land and hold on to this role) and has not been playing WW for a few years like Carter did.

    Apparently Jeannie Epper didn't exist then.She did most of the stunts other than that helicopter shot.She still seems to be one of those in denial about someone else getting the credit for the hard stuff.Clearly she realizes acting's easy stunt work's harder,thus weasling the credit away from Ms Jeannie Epper,the real Wonder Woman.

    Sorry, but she's a liar. She hasn't always embraced the character at all. Pretty much throughout the '80s (especially the early '80s) she refused to have anything to do with the character. She wouldn't talk about it in any interviews, refused to sign WW fan photos (she even got nasty with a few fans on the set of Partners in Crime), and turned down a WW reunion movie at least 3 separate times that I'm aware of. When she guest appeared on the Muppet Show they asked her to appear in costume and she refused because she hated the character. All of this stuff is common knowledge to most people who were around at the time. She's only really embraced the character within the last 10 years because it makes her "relevant" again.

      She played Wonder Woman in one of her TV specials in the 80s. There were conflicts with network and season 4 that was supposed to happen , didn't happen. So probably she was upset. She has talked about her love for the character way before the past 10 years.

      Trev L wow who pissed in your toilet. Sometimes you get burned out on a role you've played for a long time. It can sometimes get to you and wanna move on to other things. Ive seen people like Lynda, etc. who have a great life and when something is popular, the people remember them. Mark Hamill after Return Of The Jedi did have some problems career wise but bounced back as the voice of the Joker In Batman The Animated Series.
      Here's a link to a Lynda carter video from Body and Soul VHS where she reads fan mail. Body and Soul was 1984 and Wonder Woman was cancelled in 1979, Yeah boy she hated the role allright, frigging whiny ass
