Thanks again for all the support over the years, one thing i forgot to mention is that WG knows how broken the EBR's, Chieftain, 279e, Arty's are, since they either don't allow them in ranked or at least limit the number of them, also they know how shit some of the maps are since we don't see them in ranked either, but chose to do nothing about it and that's yet another reason we should not hold any hopes for the improvement of this game in the future.

WG does really piss me off sometimes. ! example. When the new equipment cam out I accidently spent 5k on bond equipment. I sent WG a ticket the same day thinking that they would refund them. I was saving them so I could get a tier 10 tank. You can guess the reply.

After 8 yrs playing this, I made best decision for my mental health quitting month ago. Thx Foch for great videos and maybe the last pushed me slightly to quit because I realized I feel same frustrated and raged as you.

French wheeled tanks were the last straw for me too. I've hit them with way too many no damage critical hot shots. I guess the shells are bouncing off the rubber tires.
I still log in, but only about once a month for just 1 - 2 hrs. and that's about all I can stand. Been doing this since the first of the year.
I found more enjoyment in WoW. We'll see how long that'll last.
@@4freebird69 This has been my experience too, for the past years I have played less and less. WG keeps dropping faster tanks with much higher alpha damage and at the same time we have to deal with those clown cars that reward trolls and bad players, add all of that to the fact that far too often we have 15-0 matches and it really makes you wonder, aren't there better games out there? Then answer is yes, much better games.
I think most of us fell in love with the great game WoT once was and we keep comming back hoping it will be what once was, hoping that that thing that once gave us so much joy will still do, but that sentiment is just wearing thin with every new patch. The fact that a person such as SirFoch is willing to drop the game knowing that he makes a living out of it it's a true testiment of how low this game has come. Even QB is now streaming other games more often apart from WoT, I would not be surprised if he ever finds a bigger fan base on another game that he would too drop WoT, not likely at the current time but I would definetely not be surprised.
@@arathor03 It's sad, because I started WoT one year after it's release and I think of the insane amount of hours and money spent on a game that I at one time really enjoyed playing. As you said, the clown cars, op equipment for the tanks and way too many lopsided battles have ruined it.
@@4freebird69 yup the game is pretty much dead to me, I play occasionally now, maybe once or twice a month but not more than 1 hour. It's been more than a year since I last paid a premium account, I just see no real reason anymore to spent money on this game. Sucks but I guess nothing good really lasts forever.
@@4freebird69 Same situation for me. I have spent alot of money and time and now the game is just too messed up. Foch points out the problems quite well. The EBR and the 279s and Chieftains just ruins it for me.. Havent played it for almost a year now

I wonder how long it will take the other major WoT content creators (such as the one that pumps out stale videos on an industrial scale, whom I'm sure we're all familiar with without naming) to realize that things aren't going to get better. This game has been going downhill for a long time and the company at the helm doesn't seem to care so long as they can make a quick buck.
Remember, this is a company who's financial headquarters is located in Cyprus (a known tax haven), and one who owns the largest stake in the island's biggest bank. I think they can do just fine without WoT or any of the people who have dedicated years of their life playing it or making entertaining content for it.

My "go to" tanks arent shit anymore because my skill and contribution to the outcome is no longer up to me.
I rage quit a year ago in my Amx 13 90 when an EBR circled me to death while my gun was having dispersion balance... I come back a week ago and played a bit but still absolutely frustrating. The 25% RNG, the EBRs, The horrible maps... list goes on man. This game is Effed.

the issue with 3 arty per team alone is enough reason to quit the game. Splashing for 400 minimum dmg if you are in a lucky day. Or killing multiple crew members and modules for a splashed shot... Dead engin, dead driver, dead commander etc, and then the stun mechanic.... Even if missed by 20 meters it can still set you on fire... Ridiculous people who say arty isnt a problem, I think it has lots to do with camper play style and never getting lit or rarely getting lit. Passive players have no problem with arty.

I quit when the defender came out and whenever I felt nostalgic I would watch wot videos and my feeling would die right away. This game especially tier 10 is just spam gold and it ruins the skill factor that it once was. Quitting wot overall made me happier with my life.

It's already too late, the minds behind WoT could not even dream the game become such a hit in early 2010s. They hand no plans for its longevity. It's just a cash cow for the optimistic naïve dummies until it dies out. Wargaming in its mission to make money has sacrificed this game which we loved. It's sad as fuck but hey thats how it is, you know what else is sad? your loved ones dying and never coming back. So yeah life is full of shit.

This is actually the saddest thing I've heard from a World of Tanks content creator in A LONG TIME. I hope everything works out for you SirFoch, you were absolutely my favorite and definitely I think other people will agree, the funniest. I've been a fan and a subscriber since like patch 8.9 in 2013. I hate that Wargaming has completely destroyed this game and has made it pay to play or pay to even be remotely competitive game. It is absolutely so sad and angering but I hope other content creators make the same decision and move on. Wargaming won't change anything if their media keeps getting the attention they want from all the other creators. Thank you Sirfoch for the laughs and GODLY gameplay that you brought to your stream and videos. You will always be the King of World of Tanks in my book!

Sirfoch is a literal god in all his tanks AND on top of that, he fires ZERO premium rounds most of the time and still is able to do over 4000 damage in a battle consistently. He is putting himself at a disadvantage not using gold ammo and he is still better than 99 percent of WOT players.

This aged well….Now with the update 1.20.1 update.
I realized this over a year ago, though I was on the fence for over two years prior and rage quit multiple times during that period. I used to make a mod for this game, but their procedures and policies on mods made it time inefficient to prohibitive in order to provide it. The Clan I was in took my leave of absence as a bad thing and got rid of me as a tactical officer (by demoting me to recruit) and wanted to force me to go up the ranks again as a recruit: this was a nail in the coffin for my world of tanks experience. The Community has become insanely toxic and there is no way of stopping it. Wargaming has made everything they introduce into a shameful cash grab, milking people of their money on overly expensive premium vehicles and bundles (not to mention gold for converting experience) which were better than their standard counterparts. Their early policy of making premiums have pref. matchmaking and were a tier in between their designated and the previous tier made more sense than what they are doing now. The gold ammo was better in that it now included all players instead of being for gold only. However, this increased premium spamming, neutering the potential of heavy vehicles who knew how to angle and destroying heavy tank gameplay to gold spam to win. This also increased purchases of premium vehicles (which by this point were better and over powered) to recoup the cost of these premium ammunition which made the game pay to win if you have the skills. Overpowered and power creep vehicles have made it into the game, mostly from russia, and have made it so that the grind is frustrating and unfulfilling. I suggested multiple changes to wargaming, despite not being a community contributor and they did not take a single word I said as constructive feedback and chucked the whole thing into the void. On the forums, I was censored for speaking my mind about the mod hub rules being arbitrary and wrong and for the proposed fixes to the game. The average random battles continued to get worse in the fact that I was one of the only skilled players on my team when more than twice the enemy team had better player skill. The ROFL stomps I suffered through to get to tier X in many areas was overwhelming. The community has become elitist and competitive and says that anyone who isn't a unicum in terms of WN8 are potatoes that have no business playing the game. I was more than willing to learn the mechanics, however nobody gave me a chance. I learned most of the mechanics on my own through play and because of this, and my friendly demeanor, I taught many new players the ropes when they came in. When matchmaking got worse for me was when I frequently played extremely low tier vehicles as a seal clubber, mostly playing vehicles such as the Panzer B2 or the FCM 36 Pak 40 to feel better about myself and to get away from the elitist high tier bullshit. I also played the KV-2 because when I was able to one shot vehicles I felt powerful again, despite it being a Soviet vehicle. Eventually changes were made so I couldn't have fun anymore and that combined with my lack of ability to release my mod regularly without pushback from Wargaming and the clan betraying my trust was the last straw that broke the camel's back. I quit world of tanks about a year and a half ago now and I feel much less depressed and frustrated after a gaming session with other, non-competitive titles. Zelda, in particular, I can have much more fun with.
Request to delete WOT sent today. I got bullied by an artillery player in the beginning of the game. I didn't drive away I just got mad and paid him back. Sent a replay to WG for what happened and they banned me for 3 days. Enough is enough. They tell people to accept bullying in the game and walk away so the bully would feel more power and could keep doing it all the time. I have played this game for more than 9 years. That's why I play Blitz instead of the core game. Sure, there is a lot of curbstomping and autocannon armed lights are ridiculous. And there is the micro transaction and grind. But what makes Blitz fun is the mostly friendly people on there, who praise good playing, and follow gamer etiquette to a degree. It's not perfect. But after the horror stories I've heard and read, I'm in no hurry to embrace the main game.
@@AtomicFire1972 I agree, WoTB's player base to WoT PC's or WoT consoles's player base is like comparing a bee sting to a bullet ant sting, the most "Bullying" I've experienced on WoTB was some minor swearing and name calling, I've yet to encounter trolls in random battles, only 2 that were in one training room, on console I've been called out for my game disconnecting or crashing randomly around the start of a battle. And it's a lot easier on the free to play players. The only time someone sort of lashed out at me was because he looked at my stats (I'm a 40%er btw) and told me "you have no business playing this game" and "delete this game" along with "go back to t1 trash", like just let me play my bat-chat in peace. But over all, the WoTB experience is far better than the core game experience.

When I first found out about War Thunder, I thought it was by the same devs. Its the same predatory model, shit balancing, just awful shit everywhere. Poo poo pee pee. What is it with russian and chinese devs?
They are very different.
Where WG has mastered their money making practices and streamlined the game so that "it plays itself" (to quote Foch), Gaijin is sort or bumbling about in some ways (and I don't mean that in a negative way), trying this and that in the dozen different game modes - which for the most part actually play wildly differently.
There are some similarities.
1 - introduce powerful vehicle, either premium or hard to grind
2 - cash in
But here is where it ends. For WG it is "3 - if it's premium, don't balance shit ; if it's not, wait half a year or more to do it"
Whereas Gaijin will have no qualms balancing things, premium or not, and will usually take a lot less time to do it.
The whole game is also far from streamlined point and click experience, with number of aspects that have substantial skill ceiling.
That's not to say that there aren't many issues, but WG is significantly worse.
I quit WOT about 2 years ago. Cannot believe how good it felt to leave this utterly toxic game. Good for you Foch. Better things are still ahead of you!

Soon this is a year old vid, and what has happened since that; more premium tanks, 15-1 simulator, overpowered tank gets buffed, HE nerf requires to use GOLD, unbalanced teams. Now soon Crew 2.0 disaster. I did not put a penny into this game and never will. I play once a month tier 5 light tanks, or arti, just to sit in the bush and watching TV, that's enough for me.
Will definitely miss your honest reviews. It comes as no surprise that you finally had enough. Many players, myself included has stopped playing years ago but continued to enjoy your reviews. Life is a pretty quick ride. You need to enjoy it or move on to something you like . Best to you.

I just started and I'm quitting ...its just a phenomenal grind every other week or holiday and that takes away from the fun of the game . The silver issue is tedious as well . Video games are supposed to be fun but not be developed as a job .
A bit late but maybe if you like tank games play wot blitz it has no arty or wheeled tanks with smaller maps and 7v7 games and a lot more events and easier to grind to tier 10 got my first one in 4 months from starting the game

I uninstalled World of tanks back when they introduced the wheeled tanks... the only tank i still enjoyed playing at that point was my T95, but then they added the wheely cars.

@@HoxtonLive Limited bad maps at that! There are 2 maps you can block in only one mode. They should have done the inverse and have players select the 2 maps that they want to play.

Congratulations. I finished the game today after playing 9 years. Crew 2.0, clown tanks, more and more autoloaders and more and more dpm, bond equipment, the battles are getting faster and faster, 3 minutes 15-0 games and so on. Wargaming is totally stupid. I agree totally with you SirFoch.
I am stopping playing today... this game has become synonymous of frustration, not about fun, just frustration.
Completely agree, debated quitting myself tbh, it had so much potential.... but they've removed things they shouldnt have, and created issues that werent issues before.
The potential it had was why we kept playing even though was bad experience.
Same thing here man. I've been going down tiers through the past months because of the horrendous mm, tier 9 used to be my fav, went to 7, then 6, then 5. the MM at tier 5 is actually still fun. It's kind sad that low tiers is much more enjoyable, if I ever get pissed with tier 5, I won't go any lower, that will be it for me I think.

I'm honestly amazed you lasted as long as you did. I quit a couple years ago and am so glad I did. Instead of playing a broken game with pay 2 win and horrible game balance, I get to play games I actually enjoy and have fun playing.
They are right now putting bounty equipment which are better than normal equipment behind pay wall, totally pay to win. As a f2p you can never run food, premium consumables and shoot gold and still have a positive silver income the way games are set up but as a paying customer you can and you can shit on every f2p player.

@@novanoir8309 I re-login a few weeks ago after hiatus for almost 3 years due to RL issues. Saw Italian tanks, and since I'm not interested in paper tanks, I decided that this New Year event will net me the P26/40 for free, save for 80,000 silver for 75% crews and that will be it for Italian tank line...
And then found out that everyone is spamming gold from Tier 2 match onward... I was like seriously? Even when I grinded Char B1 back in the days I rarely bust out gold rounds at all. What happened?
But at least at Tier 4 - 5 you won't have to contend with OP Tier 8 premium. Perhaps that's the limit where F2P players can have fun now.

I watched your streams since I started playing this game (2016) and it's been a great time watching you play and I learned a lot from you. Map awareness, when to push, when to make a tactical retreat, enemy weak spots, etc.

I'm actually surprised you had the patience with this game for this long, I myself quit almost 3 years ago, anyway I was enjoying your single player game playthrough much more (Dead Space, Alien Isolation, Kingdom Come, My Summer Car) since you were visibly enjoying those games
personally I think you'll manage without WOT, since you have a pessimistic, sarcastic and funny personality, which is fun to watch, so in the long run, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine financially speaking

im quitting this dipshit game too, i fucking hate how addicted i am and how latched on performing well i am, iv reached 4.6k dpg on my tier x tanks and i dont even get a single drop of satisfaction out of it, but if i do 100 dmg less than that i feel my blood pressure rise and my moralle go to shit, im fuckin done of just forcing myself to play well in a game i hate with my entire existence, rather work 9-5 than play this dog shit abomination

It is sad,because most of us grew up watching you making fun of this game but also a lot of people learned from your gameplay but we all understand. I am glad you are playing ACC , you look more happy, more interactive and also have the feeling of actually having fun playing video games again.
Probably one of many, I have had the same feeling about uninstalling this game almost 2 years now because of the reasons mentioned in the video. It started with 268V4
One of the best things ive done is quit this sad dumpster fire of a game and just return from time to time to remind myself why I left it.
I quit too from playing and clan war. Now i only okay from time to time and that is much more fun

Games like ACC honestly bore me to tears after a few minutes of watching. I enjoy playing racing games, but they are as entertaining to watch as NASCAR (*sings* the map in the game goes round and round). When you're playing ACC I usually watch till I get bored, then mute the tab, minimize it and go watch something else.
Not throwing shade at all, just my honest opinion. I hope you find continued success in all your life's ventures my man. I'll continue to tune in and at least show my support in the manner I mentioned above. Good luck my Salty Overlord!

I agree with you completely. I stopped giving WOT any more money last January. I still play, but only once in a while in lower tiers. Those clown cars were the worst idea by anyone ever. They nerfed them a little bit, but with the new equipment available, they're even better. The fake nerf was just a ploy to get everyone to spend 600,000 credits for each new piece of equipment.
Same here. I wasn't a big spender to begin with but I haven't given WG any money in months. Maybe a year or more. My playing time is down to an hour or so at weekends, which would normally be the worst time to play but I've watched the game become horrendous on every other day of the week, too. I basically go through the motions at mid tiers until the MM gives me _one_ team that doesn't collapse in the first couple of minutes. Then I quit for the day because it's not going to get any better.
It's no fun anymore. I haven't fully quit yet, but I wonder if it's going to be a conscious ragequit decision, or if it just slips out of my mind because I play less and less.
Came back here to re-watch this now that Wargaming has ultimately decided to destroy the game
I quit a couple of years ago, if I ever feel the hankering for tanks I just play War Thunder. Got its issues like everything else, but realistic mode is pretty great fun and I just don't find myself getting angry at it. Really different game though. I would say the depth of strategy/tactics that made WoT good back when they bothered with weak points on tanks is sort of lacking in WT.

I really hope your new ventures work out for you and you can keep streaming full time! It was a wild ride with WoT ... Abandoned the game almost 3 years ago myself but still tuned in to your streams once in a while to watch you rage just like in the old times. Still, pretty sad to think that nothing at all changed in the game and it even got worse over the years ... oh well. I will cherish the memories of WoT's good times forever.

10 months later, game is more fucked, (quit myself 2 month’s ago) and I feel sad about the state of the game, but also hilarious, like how shit can the game become?
I've been playing for nearly 7 years, more that 25k games played, 3100 wn8 account with 61.5% win ratio. 3 weeks ago I uninstalled. I agree on everything you've said. Checking the post game stats just to realize that better performance on games just came to the amount of gold the player shot. Arty is incredibly annoying, I can't play with my 3 marked tanks due to arty. I can't play tanks with weaker armor and I know that it's not because of my lack of skill . Getting terrible defeats and super fast wins. Starting a game and not knowing what to do (risk taking an advanced position and getting smashed with 0 dmg , play safe and stay back so it's insta win and you never reach the first line or play middle positions and get caught in awkward moments by rushing enemies) because it might be 15-0 or 0-15 independently on how you perform.
I must tell you that I've been refusing to watch any wot content since I left but when I saw your video I knew that a good player like you who knows the game good enough and knows that his skill level is not the problem would come to the same conclusion as myself.

Absolutely with you on that one: "The game kinda plays itself", this is exactly what I've been feeling for a while now. You enter a game and you can almost certainly tell the outcome by looking at the combination of map/starting position/tanks. I stopped playing a few months ago despite having more than hundreds days of premium left, and I'm not planning on getting back. The equipment rework was what ended up killing it for me, absolutely tragic changes. WG is leading the game into mobile gaming territory. This is just too much, it's time to stop. Farewell!
I bought a year premium then uninstalled a couple of months later. Absolute waste of life this game is, never looked back.
I had two account with each more than 100 days premium , and still a lot of gold left..... I still don´t regret quitting WoT

I left WOT middle of 2019, playing War Thunder, Dead by Daylight these days. As a tank game war thunder is 100 times better and I wish I started playing it much sooner. The Bobject finally just pushed me over the edge. The game used to actually be good back in the day, was witness to a steep decline. Agreed with every single Foch rant. RIP WOT.
Like someone said up above this comment, WG should go back to what it was like 5-6 years ago. Was a simpler system and more fun.
My BIG problem with WOT is the whole grind, trying to play this game without paying it money will bleed you dry.

And the only time I’ve payed this game was to get premium vehicles, which I would’ve thought made me more credits, but no I still can’t get to over a mil creds without selling a vehicle or just getting a premium account. I’m not the best player, I’m adequate at best, and I’ve never had the best computer/connection for this game

Good on you Foch I stop playing WOT years ago. I learned how to play the game and refused to use gold ammo now every match is the same.
Respect the decision. As far as ACC for youtube, it could work. I don't like watching racing sims on stream because its not really enjoyable for me at least, but at the end of this vid where you edited some highlights I thought it was good and I could definitely see myself watching highlights like that on this channel. It would be more editing work but even if the vids were only like 2 mins long I'd still watch. That's just my thoughts. Hopefully it works out for you and good luck.

I quit 2 years ago after playing for 9 years. Introduction of the EBR’s were the biggest reason I quit. Imbalanced matchmaking designed for 3-5 minute lopsided battles was the other reason the game sucks.
I quit in April after playing every day since February 1st 2013. Couldn’t take the frustration anymore

Just a side, I think you might find your niche in Mil sim shooters, Foch - Games such as Hell let loose, Post Scriptum and certainly Squad reward skill based gameplay and active co-ordination, those games I'd love to see you work your tactical magic bud. I agree. I'm big into those shooters and leading squads and commanding a 50 player team is very rewarding, and your efforts DIRECTLY influence the game. No stats are tracked in them (thank fuck), but I can say for sure that a good commander or solid squad leader wins games.

20k MAXIMUM when there is a huge event going on like advent calendar right now or the xmas event. Usually it's 9-11k maximum for the rest of the year.
@@alanwatts8239 What time of day do you play? I play from about 9pm-12 am est. And during that time every day there is about 20k people on always no matter if there is an event going, although the times I log on sooner to that, there are way fewer people on.
