- Various glitches surrounding breaking out of Charlie's tutorial area and obtaining a second Charlie.

There's various things that weren't tested or not reported on in this video.
You CAN clip out of bounds with a snitchbug after getting multiple captains, so it may be possible to keep a glitched onion.
A cutscene occurs when you leave Brittany's cave for the first time. If you don't skip it, the game crashes when it pans over to see Alph, because he's not there.
Landing in Tropical Wilds and going into and back out of the first loading zone to the drake (first sunset after Alph's tutorial day) will crash the game.
The area in which red pikmin are initially found is replaced by a fruit and bulborbs, but interestingly the bridge pieces are still there.
Garden of Hope is unplayable without any pikmin. With, it's unknown if you could get access to rock pikmin.
First time using many options in Premiere, sorry if it's a bit scuffed in portions. Tried to speed up to save time.

Is there a way to out of bounds to where the red onion should spawn? Was wondering if that would correct the softlock
yes! but in-bounds actually. starting from the onion, you can throw two captains over the green bridge to that portion of tropical wilds, then throw a captain up to the path with the suit upgrade and that path takes you to where the red onion should be, however it is replaced by the fruit there with bulborbs. interestingly, the bridge pieces are still there too. that’s the only interesting bit and it took a while to explain in video, which is part of why i didn’t include it. unfortunately, no leads there. good idea though!
Some one uploaded a video called unused onion boot of them escaping the beginning of the area with charlie and seeing a unused onion boot up. I recommend watching it

yes, but there’s most likely some cutscene flags that were passed since we already activated the earlier cutscene of obtaining charlie.
What if you were to rescue double charlie, but make sure there are pikmin in the ground for when you come back without an onion? Also, can Alph leave his tutorial area?
you can use those pikmin if you clip out of bounds, but since charlie is already rescued, there’s not much to do. i don’t believe alph can
@@graygravity3856 The Red Onion, including the wild Red Pikmin, only spawn on the first day. Even if you were to make your way over to Alph's crash site, you would encounter the items and monsters you would find there in Tropical Wilds on any other day, due to the game behaving as if you had already completed the tutorial.

If you do the 3rd boss then use the bridge skip on twilight river to get winged pikmin perhaps you could beat the 4th boss?
After that you could probably trigger the rock pikmin by going to the spot in the cave where they usually are & you could save Brittany after which could possibly give you 4 captains for the day then you go and kill the 1st and 5th boss quick enough you could then possibly beat the game?

nah, nintendo doesn’t take enough time to look into pikmin 3 glitches oof. but it will probably take a long time to get it the first time, it took me like a few hours just to get the first clip.

@@starryfae hey, have you tried either planting the reds in distant tundra via candy pop bud, or when you had Charlie in tropical wilds, and going back to alphs crash site? (potentally, the dirt wall might be in the cave, so maybe not)
@@ceice2248 you CAN plant the reds via candy pop bud in distant tundra, as shown at one point in the video, but there’s not a way to get them and take them to another day, like to the tropical wilds. there’s a lot i didn’t put in this video too, just cuz it was random testing. there’s a few good videos out there showing though, you go back into the path to alph’s landing site and go out and you crash the game. in the path IS the dirt wall and interestingly it actually spawns red pikmin to help you break it for the cutscene if you go back to it, but it still crashes unfortunately, due to never waking the red onion.
i wish i had saved the video i saw that demonstrated this, but i can’t seem to find it. i wish there was more documentation about this, unfortunately pikmin just isn’t as popular as i wish it was

Also, pretty bizarre on how the vehemoth phosbat randomly teleported outside of the cave.
Also, in this area 7:27 you don't need to put a pellet there, as you can (pretty easily) climb up a (kinda) corner slope to the right.
Also, you can enter the cave using the 20 ball, over by the whiptongue bulborb. You gotta thrown the pikmin up, and then do the same thing to get up, except you go over there instead.
Hello. If you still read your comments, I need you to see something. I might have a way to get Red Pikmin post Day 1 Charlie. I'm in Day 4 with A Red Onion. Only problem is Alph can't access it. Brittany is stuck on her side. I think if I get a Red Pikmin, the game will stop struggling
i’m not sure exactly what you mean, did you get a red pikmin with a candypop bud? it’s possible to get them to chill out and the days to progress but then you have no onion because the game bugs out.
@@starryfae I went along with it, found plenty of new out of bounds. When You unlock Red Pikmin (via Candypop) the game kills the first one, then gives you the rest. It did not fix the situation. One of these attempts I'll fix the onion. Maybe.
@@fanofindiegamesunpopulargames Hey!Maybye i'm a bit too late, but there is a theoretical solution. Manually changing coordinates of when the first red pikmin cutscene would be.
Obviously,the params work only on the intended map, so modding them so they correspond with the candypop is the only possible fix.
