Nobody is really any good at Celeste in a sustainable, consistent way. All the players really do is program themselves to auto-clear each room and then move on to the next. There are some situations where you only get one specific shot at something and Celeste does not do anything to prepare you for such a scenario, even on a moral/illustrative level. What an overcoming game
@@FireyDeath4with that mindset nobody would like the game. I enjoy the obstacles and the difficulties. If you don't you don't have to 100% it. That's the point of the golden berries. You don't have to overdo yourself and blame the game for it. They made it for people that enjoy doing stuff like that
In this situation, it's not worth continuing at all but I would same, taking it as a challenge to survive which matters more than the fact it lets you continue
Except it’s just neutrals??? It’s the same cycle over and over, and it’s not too hard to do consistently. Just hold right, let go of right and jump and repeat
Of course i'm not talking about the neutrals. The part where you neutral off a wall and then stay on another wall that's 3 blocks to the left, is really hard to get consistent at. Point is, moments like these are good practice for that

I was showing one of my friends Celeste for the first time and I got him playing chapter 1. He got into a difficult position with no dash or stamina and spikes everywhere underneath him. I told him "It's savable!" so he paused it, I took the laptop and his face when I spike jumped to get to the start of the screen and then completed it straight after
THAT ENDING!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 This video was a masterpiece!! An abaolute classic!!! English teachers will force their students to watch this in 10 years time!!!
I love how despite it being much faster to just take the death there, every single Celeste player, myself included, are just as stubborn and also do this kind of shit
I was absolutely mesmerized by the repetitive tries, and then when they finally made it and did the little celebratory dance it was adorable. Then right after that I laughed so hard
Yeah a cornerkick to the cloud would work but cornerkick neutral can sometimes feel better to do! Depends on whatever comes to your brain in the moment
@@quantummidgetwhen you're at the peak of your jump, if your jump key is still pressed Madeline falls twice as slow for a few frames, and it even works if you press jump at the peak of a non full-height jump, pretty cool piece of tech right here
cornerkick, made the last corner up and could've landed on the cloud, but got the neutral jumping for the save in the very first room only to die in the next room. classic Celeste LOL
neutral walljump walljump without holding either left or right. you'll be able to control madeline earlier, and therefore gain height from wall jumps. so do a neutral, and then immediately hold towards the wall. they're kinda hard to do at first but they become muscle memory after some practive
So much effort just to die in the next room as stupid as possible. Truly the most celeste thing

Actually just the plot of celeste
Witnessing the exact moment this went from being an actual attempt at saving yourself to being 100% a pride thing was magical.
The fact that Its in the 1st room of the chapter just makes it funnier
A lot of work when it would have been infinitely easier and faster to just die and redo the level
10/10 I respect the grind

Isn't the golden berry a "no-death" challenge ? Oh wait you mean the beginning of the level is right there.
It’s a matter of principles
I had 2 minutes and 12 seconds to emotionally prepare for how this was inevitably going to end, and I still cried
me on my death bed: "nuh uh"
Alternative title: 2 minutes of Madeline trying to neutral climb a wall
these are the moments where your skill goes up
And then you die instantly
but what comes up, must come down

"A little girl riddled with anxiety"

yep, she's 22 i think
Dam the anxiety spikes just from watching this video

Imagine the worst edging session possible now follow that up with the second screen
bro really did not want to die. I experienced something similar in New super mario bros wii, When I fell I would try wall jumping to get back up.

this feels like a real climber trying not to die
Climbing a mountain isn't about doing what's faster
Climbing a mountain is about sending a message
Look at this girl, fighting for her life...
That had me at the edge of my seat the entire time
Die once or neutral climb a wall for 2 minutes
Madeline:
“My goals are beyond your understanding”
We all just collectively watched this for two minutes.
I love how despite it being much faster to just take the death there, every single Celeste player, myself included, are just as stubborn and also do this kind of shit
This is probably the most stressful video I've ever watched. Also, I just realized how bad I am at this game, so thanks for that, too...I guess.😅

every tie you failed the neutral after the massive jump I was screaming JUST GO FOR THE CLOUDDD

This is exactly how playing Ultimate Chicken Horse feels sometimes

Pure determination.
The definition of anxiety:
Me trying to learn the first room of path of pain for 4 hours
Probably would have been easier to jump to the cloud from the initial big jump off the high wall thing if that makes any sense.
this hurt to watch 10/10
This was anxiety inducing
Off topic but I think the 3-tile overhang can be made by pressing into the wall instead of switching directions
The ending made me think it was intentional :(
I wonder if jumping to the cloud would be possible and perhaps easier. Still mad impressed.
My fingers hurt watching this
Madeline is saved but the speedrun is dead
speedrun complete, submiting score.
When you fall in a flash platformer and your character grabs onto a pixel of a wall (we're saving this 30 second try for 2 hours boys!)
Salvageable is an infinitely funnier word imo, but i love this
Congrats you gave me anxiety
Mirror temple golden will be very fun, i promise 😊
TL;DR: 2 minutes of attempting a neutral cornerkick
