      Maybe try a second take on that one. I am crying I am laughing so hard. That thing almost destroyed him and he says " Just like that. Easy to use" I almost pissed my pants. Not at all what I was expecting to hear. I do appreciate the infomation though. Hilarious.

    yeah...it's EASY to rent one BUT it threw you around like a rag doll like the rest of us...BE careful with those machines...they ARE POWERFUL......still a nice video....cheers!!!!

    What are the benefits of running a sod remover over just putting garden dirt on top of your grass?

      It’s good if you want to make pathways between raised beds or starting a new flower garden site

      Grass will grow through dirt. Another option is sheet mulching with cardboard. Then we hand dig a clean border.

    I rented one and the drive belt came off. When it worked it cut so clean but dang. It took too long

    does this machine actually cut the strip of sod horizontally under the grass so it can be rolled or is there another step to cut under the grass, not just the depth

    What should you set the level to if you have an irrigation system in the yard?

      I work at a sod farm, Mark down where your sprinklers are and avoid them, then take a knife or shovel and hand cut the turf around them. 1-2 inches should be a good cut depending on the grass. All water lines should be 6-8 inches under the ground if installed by a professional.

    Kill the grass first then chop up debris with a mulching mower. Very little to rake up.
