i think it’s a bit of a paradox that they tell the girls “shut up don’t cry we’re professionals we know what’s good for you” and like half the makeovers are terrible or don’t make them look like models. i mean this season was one of the better ones, but a lot of others have this problem (one of the many problems in the show haha)

The girl with the red hair and weave actually had to get it taken out because it was literally giving her bald spots and was insanely painful. She had been complaining about how much it hurt and everyone was calling her basically a cry baby for it. They didn't take her seriously till she showed someone the literal bald spots on her head.
This whole show is just a fucking nightmare starring Tyra as Freddy. It's like she only lives to terrorize these women.
I remember that! I felt so bad for her because I can only imagine how much pain she was in having her hair slowly ripped out of her scalp.

It was the weave method… not everyone is meant to have their hair braided down. The white silky texture cannot handle the gripping and braiding. It’s not meant for them lol there’s other methods of installing extensions besides weave

Tyra makes everything about Tyra on any show she is on, period. She was on AGT, they got her out real quick. Now she's on DWTS. The first season she was on, she had a producer credit and was in all these over the top out fits and was over the top... this season they made an announcement Tyra was staying but they were bringing in Alonso as a co-host. It was a little better but the shows she's on she still thinks it's all about her and it makes them hard to watch. AGT is so much better with Terry Cruz as the host. He meshes well with the other judges and seems like a genuinely nice guy. Tyra will never have that.

Oh my gosh I was stunned by how absolutely gorgeous Bianca is with her hair gone. She's definitely my favorite because dang girl I've never seen such beauty Poppin off. Jael- she was my Favorite, even as a little girl. I admired that she wasn’t afraid to be herself. Being a Adult now, I see everyone isn’t built to be in the Entertainment: Fashion Industry- they break ppl. Regardless of how beautiful your soul is- the purer, the bigger the target.
Jael had a hard time getting and staying sober. My heart broke when I heard she had lost her battle with breast cancer and passed away a few years ago. I hope she is finally at peace. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.

I straight up shaved my head about 5 years ago after Coloring the garbage out of it.. dear God, the striped ombre nightmare..started over with Virgin hair and let it grow until now. LOVE it. Letting it grown down my back for fun and shiggles.

In the German version, they don't get told what's gonna be done to their hair lol. And they cover up the mirror. They get a dramatic reveal afterwards. Needless to say, there's a a lot of crying involved. And just drama in general. And it's a whole episode. So they really stretch the drama to the max lol.
