When it comes to scones with jam and clotted cream it's not even necessarily a North vs South debate, it's a debate between the Cornish and the Devonians as well 🤣
What people from Devon fail to understand is that there is a third ingredient in Cornwall, it goes butter, then jam, then cream. I wish the education system was better there so they could grasp our higher level of understanding 😤😢

I don't get why people get worked up about that one because it would surely taste the same regardless of which order you put the jam & cream on.
So my grandad was from Cornwall and moved to Newcastle so seeing that cream go on first rattled my core.

Peas Pudding is amazing, Its basically English Hummus. Ham and Peas Pudding on a fresh stottie, god tier food.

@@mikethedigitaldoctorjarvis London pies are really dissatisfying and disappointing. Not trying to cause an argument or anything. I literally traveled to London from Yorkshire to have pie and mash at some of the most highly recommended shops but was disappointed every time. Just bad pies! That parsley vomit can do one as well. 😂

I agree with him about pease pudding tasting of 'childhood'. It reminds me of my nana, my auntie and my mam who all made their own. But he's right, who the hell would eat it out of a can? And on a cracker? You eat pease pudding with ham. Maybe on a stottie cake. And if you don't make your own, take it out the can, heat it up in pan with some butter. Then you can eat it warm or let it cool down which I think is better.
With pepper! And red sauce. But yep, bang on.

My Grandma always used to tell me the story of my childhood and an Eccles cake. On holiday in Blackpool my Mum and Grandma saw a red duffle coat in a shop window for me so decided to get me try it on but first they took my Eccles Cake off me. Always reminded of it because I screamed the shop down. 😂😂😂

Why is the sausage rolls from the north? It came from France was and first popular in the UK in London, hardly northern food, unless it's just the greggs part that somehow makes it northern.

if your from hull/East Yorkshire you'll know that cooplands is so much better than Greggs
Clotted cream before the jam makes more sense. Clotted cream is thicker so moves around less when spreading the jam on. Try and spread clotted cream on jam and it all just wipes off.

But really, do most people down south eat 'Gentleman's Relish?' I doubt it. And I think they should have compared the Eccles cake with something like a Bath Bun.
Gentlemans Relish is lovely you just want to spread it really thin on some buttery toast, be gross if you just eat a chunk of it

Err, I think you'll find in Devon it's cream first and then everywhere else it's jam first. If you go to Cornwall and put cream on your scone first you're kicked out of the county into Devon where you belong!!

Nah man you can find proper good ones down south. Brockley rock is very good. Nice fish and chips with curry sauce and a pickled egg and buttered roll to put my chips and curry sauce in. Now i feel hungry
Depends where you go. Chippies are always 50/50 for me no matter where I am in the UK. I'm from the south and there are awful chippies in my area, but there's amazing ones as well.
