      tho the watch needed to change the time from time to time but overall great one plus it a 7$ digital stainless steel watch doesnt get any better than this

      It is a surprisingly good watch for its price. I still have mine and the buttons are a little stiff now but it still goes great.

    Your reviews are anazing even for very basic watches. While this watch models the Casio Royale, it is basic and that's great. I have both this watch and my Casio AE1200WH. The Royale is still one of the best watches ever made. But this watch is very good value for the price.

      Thanks for the feedback mate. Yeah it'll be hard to dethrone that Royale. Only way I see it happening is if Casio get greedy and start raising prices.

    Great review! That circular display thing (where the analog time is on Casio Royale), is just a decoration and is achieved by tying those display segments to some of the segments of the 2nd digit of the seconds display.
    That's why it has exactly 10 patterns which change every second. That's why it flashes when you're in time set mode setting seconds which flash, that's why it changes much faster when using stopwatch and the seconds display is used for 1/100th s, and that's why it isn't displayed at all when you're setting alarm where seconds aren't displayed. Quite dirty but imo also clever way to get that look, with a very simple chip/module meant for a watch with a much simpler display.

      Thanks a lot for the explanation. It is really interesting how something that is just decorative also has that pattern sequence that ties in with the behaviour of the seconds timer. I'm going to have to look at that again now that you mention it 👍

      @@troppotime9179 You're welcome! This trick is actually used on a lot of cheap digital watches - you want to make that subdial counter thing like on g-shocks or display some animation to make the watch more interesting than it really is, but the chip doesn't allow for it as it's just simple, so you tie it to the seconds display and it changes every second, and your customer doesn't even notice how you did it. That's how makers of these watches get away with using an ancient 70s Seiko A159 chip (cloned most likely) - simplest and used by very far the most, or a Casio F91W chip clone, or this one which is also a clone of some other Casio chip, and that's about it. You get endless and endless seemingly different watches out of just these 3 chips, that look much more advanced than they really are when you sort the display a different way to make it look it displays more things at a time and add some extra decorative stuff tied to other segments of that originally very simple display. While all they know is just time/date/stopwatch/alarm/chime. Anyway, watches are also about looks so I see it more as clever than dirty, when the manufacturers are open about those decorative stuff to their customers - no one's being lied to. This one's a little dirty tho, with that "dual time" claim.

      @@65501 Their Panars version actually has dual time and a countdown timer. I bought several of these 9619 to compare their accuracy it mostly always on the fast side of +20 to +30secs/month which is within their stated spec of ±30secs/month.

      Gm man, have you figure out how to disable hourly signal and set 24H mode?

    • @etow8034
      @etow8034 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@shoopdawhoop To disable hourly chime or alarm: Toggle the [MODE] button to the alarm screen and then toggle the [START] button until the ALM/SIG indicators under TIME window disappears. To enable 24H mode just toggle the [MODE] button to the main time window and then toggle the [RESET] button to the hour digit and then toggle the [START] button continuously until you see the hours change from A/P to a 24H format like 13:00, 14:00 etc and them press the [MODE] to return to the main screen mode.
