This show is like "Winnie the Pooh" except all the characters are equally insane instead of just having one characteristic of a mental disorder.
I think all of the characters in Winnie the Pooh are meant to represent different mental disorders

Many sentences can be read more than one way- leading to more frequent commonplace miscommunication. We also allow for slang, shorthand and implied words. He read your sentence as "This show is like 'Winnie the Pooh' except all the characters are equally insane instead of just having one character demonstrate the characteristics of a person with a mental disorder." You may have meant one thing, but you did indeed say both.

Megan Mullally is a genius. No-one else could make these lines believable.

I think something is "off" with Gayle, but the most important part is her total love of her sister. It's obvious that Linda is the most important person in Gayle's life and Linda loves her sister and wants to take care of hwr. They're both weird and you can tell they understand each other on a level only odd siblings can.
I’m guessing it’s some form of undiagnosed anxiety disorder she has. I honestly think the same goes for Teddy but in a less severe form.
I think something's off with everyone on this fucking show 😆. That's what makes it great!

I…I def get her cat obsession. Like I found myself crying when she was crying over being worried her cat was stressed out over the commercial training. Anything between her and Mr. Business hits close to home. Maybe too close to home. Not ashamed to admit it though. My cat and I had a lovely 22 years together. He was my world and I’d do anything to have even a few more minutes with him.

@Rulya קארן Mórrigan aw thank you. He sure had a heck of a life. I gave him everything and all I asked in return was a photo of him in a party hat on his birthday every year. He hated it lol but he got a bag of treats as a gift so he put up with it.

The absolute hate and love I have for this character is astronomical.
This show absolutely nails the types of characters you meet in the northeast, there aren't any "stock" characters per se but everyone feels like an actual character I've met in either NY or NJ. I know I have a couple of relatives who Gayle reminds me of (though ironically, my Aunt Gail isn't one of them).
