I remember the year. 1990. Altynai Asylmuratova was listed in People magazine, a glossy celebrity gossip periodical here in the United States, and still in wide circulation. She had been named one of the “Fifty Most Beautiful People In The World”. There she was in her photograph, slightly reclined, resplendent in her Aurora tutu and tiara. A true, shimmering Central Asian beauty. I’ve still got that magazine issue to this day.
Exquisite Aurora with all the charm and a true Mariinsky ballerina. Love her very much. And, just a little thing, but I love how she looks towards her mother, kneeling, and gently strews the roses in front of her - an offering of love - rather than just throwing them down, as so many ballerinas do.
Ah! Exquisite! I wish I could have included this in my Kirov Mariinsky Aurora collection of entrances and rose adages. Thanks so much for sharing this gem!
Yes, please, if you can include it. The members of our ballet forum are delighted of your videos but were a little bit upset not having found Asylmuratova there.

I remember her. So beautiful, and full of old world classicism.

Agree. I've never quite understood the throwing gesture.
She is amazing: great stage presence, charm, wonderful phrasing, beautiful hands and feet. She became Aurora, 💖🌹💖🌹💖
