Snake discovery works with smaller snakes so there’s more of a risk when handling them very early. With snakes this big there’s no real problem for them and actually more helpful since it’s generally more common for them to die in the egg. Make sure before telling someone to do something to do your own research

Also he needs to just cut a smaller window so there is a less chance of cutting the baby😊
@@ingridisaviolet8498 Trust me I work with big snakes at the Nashville reptile exhibit. It’s much safer to make sure the snakes are doing ok before leaving them to come out of the egg. I do agree the window should be smaller but handling baby snakes the way he does in this video isn’t harming them whatsoever
@@hope_xo_xo yes i know I breed big and small snakes. I check by rubbing the end of the tweezers to see if they respond but he is kinda rough with them which makes me uncomfortable knowing how fragile baby’s straight out of the egg can be.

To everybody that thinks feeding your snake at LEAST once a week is bad, they are not dogs they do not need to be fed every day PERIOD!!!!!!!

Why does he do that?
Some breeders do in case a baby's eggtooth isn't that we'll developed or isn't the at all. The eggtooth is what they cut open the egg with. Basically it just gives the babies a better chance of hatching

Hello Brian I am have a good day. (: I really like what you do as a breeder except for one thing which is causing a lot of people to not want to buy from you. And they don’t not like you, at least from what I said. They want you to take better care of your animals, I know a lot of things that they are upset about are old. And I would like to tell you, you have improved greatly I just think your reptiles need a little more enrichment. Though your care isn’t great your a good breeder and I am still buying from you for my breeding. All my leopard gecko enclosures will have your reptile prime (: and a water dish and a food dish. Then a coconut hide which gives enrichment. The enrichment is also important so reptiles can shed. Otherwise everyone else likes your company just they want you to take better care of their animals.
I don’t want this to upset this your anxiety though

He has done way better, he just needs to provide better enrichment, give more snug hides (log hides are to open), and give them some more things in their enclosure

Good morning Brian, I haven't been commenting lately but I have been watching along. You have brightened my days here lately during a seriously hard time. My daughter had a baby and her uterus ruptured and my full term beautiful grand baby boy is on life support. We really need thoughts and prayers right now.. the doctors have basically given up.. this little baby is a miracle right now and I believe there will be more miracles in-store... 🙏

Lucy is looking FIRE today! Its amazing to see how different she looks and acts that shes been in her huge enclosure for what 2 years or so now? She looks so much more vibrant and just overall in better shape ( in no way am I saying she was unhealthy before she moved to her new enclosure ( she was in a typical enclosure for her size that most people who keep large snakes keep their animals in)) it could also be because of the new style and new higher quality videography etc. But I'm sure it's more of the former. You can actually go back to all the animals that were previously at BHB then upgraded to the Reptarium and can see they seem more vibrant. Maybe the space, lights, interaction? Who knows? Its am amazing thing to see. Have a great day!
