Thumbs up, my new purchase of these tires performed awesome in Wisconsin first snow storm.
Thanks for the review in the snow!
Thanks so much! This was so helpful as I just ordered these tires for my GC. I’m in Illinois too so even more helpful!
You're welcome
Thanks for the review 👍great video am gonna buy them
First off, nothing beats dedicated snow tires.
But, I’ve got these on my 2500 Denali, amazing traction in the rain. Snow in theory should be excellent as well. The channeling and siping is 10/10. Remember, it’s the snow that packs into the tire sipes that in return gives your traction to the snow it drives over. Will buy these again without a doubt.
Just got these in same size 295/45/20 from custom offsets. My god it is a beautiful tire. Directional tread for better wear, amazing channels for water and snow evac. All around great tire like most of toyos products
Agree!
Thanks for sharing. This was the video I was looking for, good to see how it behaves in similar snow conditions. Already ordered those for my Cayenne Turbo.
Glad I can help with your decision.
What does that even mean 😂😂
I remember these things on my Edge, it was like driving on Grill Cheese Sandwiches in the rain or sun. Took me 30 years to find something like these. Vision was increased along with regularity. That's all.... smile, got-ya...
Super cool!
Thanks for the great review!!! This will be my next tire for my 2012 Yukon SLT SS. It has a fare amount of performance upgrades and my BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA are nearing the end of they’re lifetime. They weren’t bad tires but they’re starting to get out of balance and they’re a little noisy still performs well in the snow but it is a stock tire that GM uses. I was really looking for a sporty looking tire that performs these are definitely my next set. Cheers my friend and thanks again for the great review👌💯❄️ stay warm and safe...
Thank you. I'm glad I'm able to help you out.
Thanks man! Video made me comfortable to run these on my drive home to Wisconsin in February on my Explorer ST
I'm glad I could help.
I was just looking to get these for my Explorer ST too :)
@@Nick-lz1km they work great. But if you have the budget the 2 channel blackvue dr750x is much better. Check them out in my channel, installed in my hellcat widebody.
got some 305 45 r22 on my wife's Denali great so far
Just got them for my trackhawk. We’ll see how they do next winter in Kansas City.
Thanks for the video ☺️.I think I'll get a set .🤘🤘🤘
Glad I could help.
One thing I want to warn you is, these tires got a bit loud at highway speeds when they wore out.
That's interesting, I have the same tires on my jeep grand cherokee 2011 with 5.7 L and these are terrible in snow even in snow mode... I'll stick to the toyo winter dedicated that I've been using flawlessly... these are just summer tires
I'm going to be putting on the trackhawk rims and was thinking of these tires to match
They should. Only problem i had was as they wore down they got a bit loud at highway speeds.
What's the zero to 60 in snow high 15 lol
I was looking at these for my next set for my 14 GC SRT. How's the road noise on the highway? I have the Sumitomo HTRs right now, and they're so loud. They are on their way out, but I want to make sure my next set are at least a little less noisy.
It was quiet at first but got loud as the thread wore down.
How do you think these will do on a dodge challenger? I ordered this same model yesterday.
Can't wait though. Stock Pirelis about to go up in flames, much needed purchase at a good price.
Wanted winter tires, but decided to long term with all season.
They will be ok. But I would not recommend them, because in my experience when the tires wore down they became noisy at highway speeds. If you can swing it get the continental dws06 plus instead. That's what I currently have on my charger hellcat.
I actually have a set of continental viking contact with wheels for sale that I used on my scatpack if you're interested.
Thank you for a good review ! I am considering ordering same tires for my Audi Q8 though where I live there are a lot of hill . Do you think I will be able to pull it on these tires ?
Yes you will be able to
I just got these for my Supercharged Nissan Titan 4wd. I'm a huge Toyo fan so I'm hoping these don't disappoint
Whoa...picked up minimal snow, tyre stayed black on treads.
Have you had a chance to drive the Toyos when it was raining or wet?
Yes. I’ve had this tires since summer. Great performance on wet also. It’s a lot quieter than the pirellis at highway speed.
cant wait for the Pirelli scorpions to wear out. they don't look like they are good in snow. Toyo Proxes up next
Yeah the pirellis were bad in snow and they vibrated like crazy when the wheel wells were packed with snow.
You still like these tires? Deciding which one to put on my 16’ Yukon XL Denali. Heavy rain, snow, or icy roads you feel confident?
They are pretty good but they get noisy as they wear down. I’ll probably go with continental next time.
Buy winter tires bro. That's the answer
@@BoysToysHellcat which continental are you going to go with?
Continental extreme contact dws06 for all season and Continental viking contact for snow season
What is the avg life milage on these tires
Maybe 20k but remember I also tow a big heavy boat up and down mountain roads.
😊
Hey what size are your tires
Stock size as what came with the jeep srt. I think its 295/45 R20
Still liking that axle back?
Yes. Just rumbly enough. I could go louder, but I have a loud charger scatpack.
Man, why are you testing summer tires on snow? : )
They're all season tires
The music is a bit much
This guy buys an ultra high performance tire and expects it to perform like a monster in the snow. The Proxes ST3 is one of the better tires for winter conditions if you're a dummy and don't buy dedicated winter tires. BUY WINTER TIRES DUDE! Do your research. It matters. The Toyo Observe GSi6 man. Beast.
Well it’s a good thing you didn’t purchase them 🙄
@@Billet_GC I own a set of toyos in a 265/35r22 wrapped around my dubs for the summer. So yes, I own toyos that retail for $380 each Canadian, before taxes and install. I am Toyo for life, but that's not what this is about. It's about dedicated winter tires. I have an issue with anybody reviewing Tire like the Toyo Proxes st3 in the winter time and not making it abundantly clear throughout their review that this is not, I repeat not a winter tire at all. So if you're throwing shade over at Toyo because of the winter performance of the st3 I might say a thing or two in response.
@@chameleonwraps7426 not throwing shade at all to Toyo. I actually have the STIII’s on my Grand Cherokee and have no problems in the snow. Are they a dedicated winter tire? No! Never said they were.
Joe they are excellent all season tires. My experience with them after they started to wear out was they started to be noisy during highway driving. I don't of you have experienced the same.
