THE SPOOKY SHELVES & FALL QUEEN IS BACK. 🍂✨
Thank you Livvvvv 🥰❤️
All I can say is welcome back beautiful queen 👸 looking forward to seeing your beautiful and amazing smile and love your fantastic eyes please stay safe and enjoy your reading 📖 love your family friend John prayers and thoughts for you and your family xxxx
I’ve been waiting all year for your autumn videos 😍 IT’S TIME 🍂🍂🥹
Girl you don’t even KNOW! I just filmed a video and my entire intro is basically dedicated to you I freaking LOVE your fall content!!
@@alexandraroselyn WHAT 🙈 Oh my goodness i’m so excited to watch it! Especially your fall reading vlogs. AH! They breath life into my autumn soul 🥰🧡
"Even the coffee tastes better in the fall!" Yasssss girl! 🍂🍁📚❤☕
The thing with a series of unfortunate events is that as an adult these stories are DEPRESSING. Those poor children just could never catch a break, i remember crying through most of them because I just wanted to give them a good home. I had to drop the series because my empathy was killing me. Lovely video, I always LOVE your fall content!! 🍂
OMG, I was obsessed with A Series of Unfortunate Events! They are so witty and I actually think discovering them as an adult will allow you to see layers your younger self might have overlooked. BTW, the audio books are amazing! Tim Curry narrates them & there’s fun musical touches by a group called the Gothic Archies. Highly recommend! 🍂
I loved those books! I read them in college, and I totally agree that reading as an adult might be even better. My son didn’t like the books very much because it felt too sad, which is understandable
I loved these as a child but now I’m going to re-read them as an adult because of this comment! Thank you 😊
Fall is the best season🍁🍂
Omg!! That cup and dress couldn't couple enough
Before the coffee gets cold is brilliant! So cosy and gorgeous. I just finished the sequel. Highly recommend both 🎃
Finally found this book at a small bookshop and my sister got the second one and we’re going to annotate and send to each other, so excited!
I've accumulated such a huge pile of books for autumn that there's no way I will even make a dent in them all! Still, I'm excited - there's a mix of age categories, lots of gothic settings and spooky woods, a few autumnal set cozy mysteries, and at least a couple of classics. 🍂🍏🌻🍁
Darling Desi's newest book video sent me here and I'm so glad 🍁🥀😁
Omg all these books sound so good Lexi🤩 I also definitely wanna read "A Far Wilder Magic" and of course "Legends & Lattes" 🍁🍂
I hope if you pick them up you end up loving them!!
That owl mug though!!!!!! 😍
LOVEE FALL SO MUCH!! 🍃🍁🖤🖤🖤🖤🍁📖📖📙🍂🍂📚📙📖📚🖤🖤🍁🍂🍂🧡🧡🧡🍂🍁🖤🖤🍁🍁🖤🖤📖📚🍂🍂🍂📚📙📙📖📙📚🖤🖤🍁🍃🍃🍃🍂
I've been buying so much mystery books recently as its one of my favourite genres and it's definitely the perfect time of year to pick one up and get really invested into it 🍁🍂🔍🔎
I agree!! Nothing beats a cozy mystery in autumn 🥰🍂
I can’t wait to read all these BOOKS this month and October 🍁📖🍂📖🍁🖤🖤📚📙📙📚🧡🍃🍃🖤🧡📚📙📙📚🖤🍁🍂📙📚🧡🖤🍃🍃🍃🖤📚📙📙🍃🍁📖🍂📖🍁🍂📙📙🧡🧡🖤🍃🍃🖤🧡📚🍂🍂📖📖📙📙📚
I usually reread Howl's Moving Castle ever autumn because it's such a comfort comfort nostalgia read
I love your videos so much! After watching this video, not only did I add some of these books to my Goodreads list, but I also recorded an episode for my podcast recommending cozy fall middle grade books to read! Thanks for the idea and recommendations! 🍁
As soon as you described the book “Anatomy: A love story” I ran and bought it!
Your mug is beautiful and you have such a beautiful spirit!
Omg! I just finished Other Birds and thoroughly enjoyed the book. I loved getting to know the characters, their stories/secrets and the surrounding scenery. Each of the characters brought something special to the story that made it so amazing. I was only sorry I got to the end so soon. Thank you so much for the recommendation!
YAY SO EXCITED!!! 🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🖤🖤🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🧡🧡🍁🍂🍃🍃🍂🍂🍂🍂🍃🍃🍂🍁🍁🍁🍃🍃🍂🍁🍁🍁🍂🍃🍂🍁🍁🍂🍂🍂🍂📖📚📙📙📙📚📖📚📙📙📚📖📖📚📙📙📚📖📖📙📙📙📖📖📖📚📚
The background is die hard for!!!!!
I'm reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, which is about young academic who is told by her father Dracula was real and still living. I'm picking a mixture of Dark Academia and Creepy, but in October I'll be participating in Victober. I'm also picking up The Witching Hour by Anne Rice, Perfume by Patrick Suskind, The Distant Hours by Kate Morton (if you haven't read her, her books would fit your cozy fall vibes.), and The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories by HP Lovecraft.🍁🍂
You are costing me a fortune, I need to read all the books, you make them sound so exciting 😩😆
HHahaha! I’m sorry Sarah! 🙈
The Scandalous Sisterhood is so good! It’s like a mashup of Clue, Mona Lisa Smile, and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead
So many fun recommendations 🍁🍂
Have you done a bookshelf tour? Or is this a whole library? It’s beautiful and I need to see more😃
I NEED you to read anatomy! I read it after you showed it in one of your book hauls and am waiting for your opinion ever since lol 🍁🍂
Same 🥺
Your shelves are distracting me by their BEAUTY!!! 😍😍
Oooo a new Sara A Allen book!? I’ve read 3 of her books now I love them all cozy magical realism ❤️.
I think you will LOVE Hotel Magnifique!!! It’s a book that really pulls you in and you’ll think of it long after you’ve read it. Really special. I spent so many moments gasping as the plot unfolded. LOVE your channel, Lexie! You’re so delightful and I appreciate all your recommendations. 🍁🍁🍁
I’ve read all Sarah’s books! It’s been forever and a day since she has had a new one. It was my pick this month ! Can’t wait
I just picked Other birds for my pick too. Had trouble deciding between that, Killers Of A Certain Age & Attic Child.
I'm so excited to watch this video! Your decorations in the background are bomb, Lexi! And I also love the spooky intro🍁🎃
Thanks Laura!! 🥰❤️
I love spooky season 🍂🍁☕️📚 and your hair is really pretty
I love your owl mug! I'm determined to read an Agatha Christie this Autumn, as well as Dracula...finally! There is a graphic novel version of Bunnicula I'm keen to get my hands on...read the novel last year and it was so cute and so gently spooky! Awesome video! Thank you!
Omg I loveeee that you’re reading Dracula! I’m going to try to read that in October!
I recently purchased a copy of Dracula. It has a red velvet front and back. With bats all along the outer pages of the book. Looks so cool.
@@audreyhertz301 is it illustrated by Edward Gorey? I'm really big into reading illustrated classics and modern classics when available - and I LOVE the Edward Gorey version.
@@alexandraroselyn it seems the best month for it!
@@WaterBearReads Yes it is!
The SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS you are gonna love these books! Im so happy you pick them up and hopefull more people are gonna talk about this series again. They are worth more hype.
THE SPOOKY QUEEN IS BACK 🍂✨ all of the books on your TBR sound SO good!
Bookish people + Fall season= true love🎃☕😍❤️❤️❤️
You may have already been recommended this, but "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is one of the sweetest and coziest creepy (there's an apocalypse) books I've ever read. Highly, highly recommend to everyone.
I do decleahh Pumpkin Spice on everything!!!! 🎃
🍂 rereading pumpkinheads and Mexican Gothic, Riley Sager books
At the halfway mark of Babel. OMW excellent example of Dark Academia. Based on the writing style I've purchused the authors other works. infact I dropped the two other books I was reading so I could focus solely on this book! Do yourself a favor and read Babel
Hi, Alexi, I've been following you now for 3 yrs. I saw your fall videos and was hooked!! Love your intro and the decoration.!! The fall Queen is back!! Loved it all!!!🍂🍂🍁🍁🍂
I'm reading a middle grade called Scritch Scratch. It's a scary ghost story and I'm into it! 👻
I really loved Anatomy: a love story!! I hope you enjoy it too. I read it when it came out but it FOR SURE has fall vibes.
I’m the same with deciding fall starts September 1st-I was working the first two days but today is me decorating the house for fall 🍁 Your fall shelves look AMAZING!!
🍁
I can’t wait for your TBR for spooky books! Hopefully I can find a great vampire book! I’m looking for something dark and not absurdly romantic or corny. So I’m in desperate need of recommendations! 🧛♀️
🍂🍂🍁yesssssss not me adding all of these to my tbr🍁🍂🍂
My fall TBR includes a few Ray Bradbury books: The October Country, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and The Halloween Tree. 🎃🍂🍁🧡
Shady Hollow and the whole series is simply charming! As is The Scandalous sisterhood! Read then all this summer and had the best time!
Yes! Shady Hollow is so good! I have its sequel Cold Clay on my fall TBR. Babel is also on my list and I can't wait for it. I am just finishing up my reread of Sarah Addison Allen's Garden Spells which is a 5 star read and a great summer to fall transition read. 🍁🍂
🍂🍁 I just picked up a book from barnes & noble called “be my ghost” by Carol j. Perry.
I just stumbled upon it. I’d never heard of it before but the synopsis sounds super cute. There’s ghosts involved and the cover is super adorable and perfect for Fall!
Here’s to my favorite time of the year!🥂🍂🍁🎃☕️
Now I want to read the society for soulless girls! I love your fall videos so much 😊🍁
Yes!! Series of unfortunate events is one of my favorite middle grade series of all time! Hope you enjoy it!!🍁🍁
“Garden Spells” is one of my favorite books. I put both of those books as my BTM selections. So excited. “Anatomy” and “Babel” are also on my fall reading list.
Anatomy was so good! It was a quick girl power read and my only complaint was that it felt too short. I wanted to be besties with Hazel. So excited that there will be a sequel!
You ever read any T. Kingfisher? She cannot write a bad book and I think her stuff is right up your alley
My plans for this Autumn.
Get a little side table to put next to my sofa.. light couple candles on it then sit next to it with a cup of hot chocolate, a rainy background video on the TV and read some good books. And repeat until spring 😅
📚🍂🕯🧡🍁📚
Not cozy but don’t forget Empty Smiles is out. The fourth book of the Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden. You introduced me to Small Spaces and I devoured all 3 books.
I need to catch up with those!!!
I saw some fall leaves this morning and got sooo excited! I had the Christmas song that says ..."It's the most wonderful time of the year ...." playing in my head. 🍁🍂🎃
Omg YES BC IT IS!!! 👻👻👻
fall starts september 1st! you cannot change my mind!!!🍁🧡🎃
YES!! 🎃🍁🍂👻☕️
I am also reading Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz. 📚☠️🍁🍂
Anatomy is so good!!!!!!!!
Shady Hollow and Scandalous Sisterhood are both perfect 5-star cosy autumn books! ❤
The spooky intro is back and it made my whole week 😍
In the company of witches is very good and I fell in love with the characters!💙
I love Sarah Addison Allen! I’ve read all of her books (published in physical copy anyway) and I would HIGHLY recommend any of her books but my favorite/consistent re read is The Sugar Queen. Just make sure you have something sweet to munch on nearby!
Fall hits Sept 1 here too. lol. 🍂 🍁
omg the vibes of your fall videos just make my heart soooo full 💖🍁
If you like cosy mysteries, i recommend you read "Curse the day" by Annabel Chase!! It is so good!
Finallyyyyyyyyy the spooky intro is back for autumn season!!!!!!!!!
Babel is so good! I read it as soon as it came out and it is now my favorite book of the year!
I love shady hollow!!!!!
Anatomy is so good too!!!!!
And 🍂🥰
🍂 You have no idea how happy I am to hear you mention the Series of Unfortunate Events! I loved those books with a passion in middle school :) I hope you get around to some and I get to hear your thoughts!
17:04 I read this. Actually I did the audio. Great book. And the ending...WOW. I love how you have color-coordinated your tape flags with the cover. So cute 🙂
I read “Fly By Night”! - it’s set in NJ where I grew up! The Jersey devil folklore was a big deal in our area growing up.
🍁 Fall really is the best season!
I almost picked up Shady Hollow when I was at B&N picking up Belladonna. I may go back.
Haven't even watched the video and just need your overalls!
I read "My Year of Rest and Relaxation" about three years ago and was quite touched by it -- I tend to feel for "unlikable" protagonists (Emma always comes to mind), and this book certainly has one! But she also reminded me of someone close to me who had similar struggles (being vague here to avoid spoilers), and this book helped me feel more empathy towards her and her situation. I hope you enjoy the book as well 😊🍁
I have been marathoning your videos for 2 weeks, your channel is seriously the best! I’m excited to see two books I’m going to be reading on your fall TBR: Other Birds and Before the Coffee Gets Cold ❤️
SPAM post ☝🏻
@@sarahhansen8004 deleting all of these spam posts is so annoying thank you for knowing that wasn't me 😭😭😭😭 why are they on my channel?!
I just finished the Juneau Black A Shady Hollow Mystery Series....Shady Hollow, Cold Clay and Mirror Lake and I loved it! I came across the series at our public library and just turned in Mirror Lake Tuesday....lol....It is a series I recommend it has a great twist of instead of human characters they are all animals and they all get along....well except for the ones who are murderers of course....lol I found myself picturing some of the humans I know as some of these animals in the book due to the different personalities. Hope everyone checks them out they were really good reads...something different.
Love ur mug ❤
Aah! I have to say this, although i enjoy your content in every season, watching your videos in autumn is something else!! It's an annual tradition now! 💀🦇🕯🥀
Ahhhh thank you!! 🥰
🍂🍁Killers of a certain age sounds great. The Veronica Speedwell mysteries by Deanna Raybourn are also very cozy reads.
I just found you and I love your vibes 💛💛💛
Hotel Magnifique just became one of my fav books this year! Its YA but I did think on a very broad scale 😂
Its spooky season😍🍁🍂
Do you ever do a Christmas /holiday book haul?
🍁 thank you !
🍁 Yes I love the fall and coffee does taste better in the fall lol
Absolutely read Sarah Addison Allen! All of her books are fantastic and include magical realism.
I totally agree about loving fantasy during the winter!! Have you read Once Upon a Broken Heart? I love this type of magical book for fall/winter and I'm so excited for the release of the sequel!
I haven’t but I think I have that book and it sounds incredible!
@@alexandraroselyn I thought it was fantastic. She writes such beautiful, whimsical magic ❤✨😊
The Graces by Laure Eve was so cozy yet creepy and witchy!
Before the coffee gets cold is such a wonderful book. Enjoy it. You will soooooooo love reading it. Trust me. I think now I am going to re read it . :) :)
I’m so pumped for fall, too. Bring on all the cozy things!! 🍁🍁🍁
Agreed 🥰🎃🎃🎃
It’s been a very rough day at work. Much needed pick me up! 🍁🍂
Yesssss 🤩 Ugh here in Arizona it’s still very much summer! Fall doesn’t show itself until the middle of October. Regardless love the video and love you! I have been in a reading slump for 6 months but something about this time of year has me wanting to READ 💗
I LOVED Red and Red 2! Seen them a quadrillion times each lol. I'm going to add Killers of a Certain Age ago my TBR. thanks
🍁 I have been ready for fall and Halloween for months and I am so glad it’s here. I usually read spooky books about this time, but I have paused that this year to catch up on book series that I have started, but haven’t finished yet. 🍂
