What do you mean come back? South Africa had no part in slavery, theres no coming back black Americans are West Africans and they know that.
Plus, SA has no resources to take care of everybody who want to come here. Ignoramus.

I can testify, understand and agree because when I’m in SA, 98% of my time is spent with indigenous people (Tswana, Zulu, Xhosa) …my South African lady and her family. This is their belief and I support.
As an American, we are tricked into believing we know what others should do. It’s our weakness and an attitude to leave behind when departing the USA for South Africa, Africa or anywhere really.

I've been traveling to South Africa 3 or 4 times a year for the past 5 years and even lived there during Covid. It's a beautiful place, and I plan to retire there.
This video was informative and accurate, but I noticed a discrepancy in the currency explanation.
When I first started visiting, the exchange rate was 7 rands for 1 dollar. A gin and tonic, my first adult drink there, cost 49 rands or $7 USD, whereas it would cost around $12 USD in DC at the time. Now, the rand has shifted to 19 to 1 dollar, and the same G&T is priced at 150 rands or $7.87. In comparison, the same drink in DC now costs around $19. Applying this price scale to everything, you'll find that your spending power essentially doubles when in Johannesburg compared to a major US city.
However, it's worth noting that not everything is cheaper; gasoline or petrol, for example, is 25% to 50% more expensive.

I am so happy to see you really excited about your new venture to South Africa and wish you all the best but watch out for the scams. Scammers are everywhere as well as here in America, but having to experience firsthand being scammed and hearing about it from others it happened to is concerning among African countries. I was to go to Jamaica last Summer with a friend whose from there to visit her family and the first thing she warned me about was to let her do all the talking when we go into the market place because when the natives find out you're American they will raise the price because of the value of the American dollar. Fortunately Jamaica is in the North America. I am a South African who resides in Durban, a metropolitan city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Depending on where you live the level of crime differs. The most common crime you may come accross is a hijacking. And that too differs based on where you reside and the car make and model you are driving. The markets are great and no one will scam based on your accent and or derelict. Just like in the States you have to be aware of your surroundings unless in a shopping mall because of security. Mini bus taxi ranks are also safe because any person who commits a crime there either ends up in the hospital or the mortuary.

SB'S point was that immigrants entering the US illegally is the issue. Immigrants with no screening could be criminals and people with no moral compass. SB and I have been in law enforcement for over 25 years and we are certainly entering into the continent the proper way. Listen to her videos and know her story before judging. We were content with being in the US but have been instructed by our creator to go to Africa, this is a purpose that may benefit many natives. We have been entrepreneurs in the US for over 25 years. We will be contributing to the economy. Our wealth will be shared by providing jobs to those who are willing to work for a better lifestyle. Stay tuned...

Your ignorance is what is causing your confusion. South Africa has the second largest black middle class in the world after the US. It is also the most industrialised country on the continent thereby making it the most industrialised black country on the planet. It is also the 31st richest country in the world out of 205 counties meaning only 30 countries are richer and more developed than SA. Unlike the US, SA provides free housing for the poor, free medical healthcare, free schooling, subsidised housing for low income earners, subsidised electricity and water for townships and villages. None of these things are offered in the US that is why you don't see piles and piles of homeless people lining the streets of Cape Town or any city in the country as you would in parts of California. South Africans generally suffer from a mental disorder of thinking other countries are doing so much better when the evidence is clearly there that this is not the case. South Africa is also not a small country which means there is more infrastructure to develop, it's twice the size of France and more than seven times bigger than England. The people than know the truth and see the value of this country have a spaza shop in every township, street corner in town, have a salon in every corner of every town, are making thousands a week of Uber, are working in the restaurants, have tyre shops and every kind of business while we South Africans just sit and complain. Every other nationality is keeping quite and making money. The only people who are not selling any type of service or product to anyone in this country are black South Africans who have been indoctrinated by White people to just sit and complain about the government.

After you move to South Africa, will you continue earning the American dollars remotely? If not then you need to reorganize your thinking...

@@SBULIVE Then I suppose you'll do far much better in South Africa. I'm African who has also lived in the US therefore I can tell you go for it right now! But plan well though.....you'll go through a period of disorientation due to cultural differences but stick to your goal.
