  • Gun trellis and serenade when the guests arrive at the state banquet in Bellevue Palace.
The occasion was the multi-day state visit by the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and his wife Michal Herzog to Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender at Bellevue Palace in Berlin. The program of the state visit includes several wreath-laying events, including in Fürstenfeldbruck (FFB), where the Israeli Olympic team was taken hostage 50 years ago. The trellis of rifles is provided by the 2nd company (army) of the guard battalion. The staff music corps plays under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Kiauka.

Ja, aber nur zur Vorstellung des Entlastungspaketes III. Die milEhren für Ukraine liefen ab 14.00 Uhr, während Israel um 13.30 Uhr war. Also fast parallel.

A beautiful job as always by the Stabsmusikkorps. Lovely music that we on this channel never get tired of hearing, lovely Schloss Bellevue, and a lovely lieutenant colonel conducting. ;) Been awhile since we saw a serenade like this.

    1. Israel does not need Military aid from United States. Israel is now self-sufficient and can protect itself. The only reason the USA gives aid to Israel is to have a foot hold in the Middle East and to have access to Israel’s military technology......it benefits the USA not Israel.
    3. Israel is among the top 10 arms export countries in the World.
    2. Israel must spend 74% of American aid money on American defence contractors. This spending supports well over 20,000 jobs in the U.S according to recent estimates.
    3. Israel provides a cost-effective alternative to stationing American troops in the region. U.S tax dollars maintain regional peace and stability by helping Israel respond effectively to its unprecedented military threats from Hamas controlled Gaza, and other Islamist terror groups supported by Iran

Just my opinion that the original Prussian uniforms is much better in terms of style. Changing it on account of Adolf Hitler or East Berlin/DDR/NVA is no reason why the uniform style had to change. The Prussian uniform style dates back before WW1. The style had absolutely nothing to do with either Hitler or DDR/NVA.
I just don't understand why the change is necessary. Including the marching style. It looks dumb, the original pre-WW1 marching style (Prussian) is also much better.
It's dumb to change everything while blaming Hitler or the DDR when it had absolutely nothing to do with them.
But hey, if that's what Germany wants.... (***shrugs!***)

Prussian thinking is always flexible and forward-looking. That is why the German military is adapting to the circumstances of the time.

Uniforms and their style have always changed and will always change. The Prussian uniforms of 1800 were not the same as of 1700, and the Prussian uniforms of 1900 were not the same as of 1800. So why should the pre-1914 Prussian style be the last word concerning "German" uniforms? In fact, there is a lot of tradition to be found in modern Bundeswehr uniforms - Luftwaffe und navy are almost the same as they have always been when they were introduced first, and the army jackets still show the traditional collar patches und use the same basic layout as the Reichswehr of 1919. Strings and company flags (not shown here in this video) are showing the colours of the traditional Prussian company colour scheme (1st company - white, 2nd company - red/white...). There are a lot of cuff titles, a tradition linking back to the 18th century - not to mention the amount of traditional military music. All in all - what people actually are complaining about when they are talking about missing traditions are two things: Berets and goose stepping. I'm not a big fan of berets, too - but it could be worse ;-) And goose stepping was generally only used for pass-in reviews during parades - so if this video had been shot in 1914, there wouldn't have been any goose stepping, too. It is a common misconception in many countries that pre-1945 German soldiers were goose stepping around all day - this may be the fault of newsreels showing parades only and some Hollywood cliches.
