A couple of jabs, low kicks is usually all you need, dude. Plus the damage starts to decrease the more you combo and do air combos.
It is true that d1 does not fit in most combo ender and b3 almost always connects but d1 has better oki compared to b3. b3 recovery is slow so you are kinda letting go oki. Another ender that I sometimes do for oki is b1+2 but its tough in tournament settings so d1 is better to gain oki advantage compared to b3

b3 is unsafe on block so its risky to use unless its guaranteed

If it works if works. I don’t know why it matters. It adds freshness. Especially if people use the same combos.
