Well it’s a very long wish list of what I wanna see in a modern assault rifle . It would need longer space than the comment section. I will make it very short and probably miss out a lot of stuff Accuracy Reliability Better sighting system than the conventional iron and red dots . (Optics day night capable with high battery life) Light weight Robust with a longer life Flatter shooting rounds Low recoil Most importantly simple to use by the common solider WishList is long un ending and some times unattainable

I cant think of one. And i dont think is possible in existing ammo and weapon lay out. Its more reasonable to stick to a design that counters his adversaries ideally give them a run to follow. But i belive we are stuck in a box and not thinking out. Guns and ammo need a same sort of leap when we shifted from muzzle loaders to cased ammo or similar leeps when magazine feed was introduced. After that not much has changed no big leap in design just refinement

Yes no law enforcement / millitary outfit in Pakistan is using 545x39. Why develope in a caliber which has not use for forces. Rest Cw39 can be chambered in 545 & 556

@@nonofyourbissnezv6098 I respect your Opinion but 5.56 is used by Our SOF units(Like SSG) because 5.56 in Close range works phenomenally better because 5.56 in close range can penetrate Armour, had a very low recoil , You can carry more rounds because 5.56 is lighter Round and had a great accuracy which makes it ideal to be used in Urban Areas however 7.62×39 which you can fill work between the 7.62×51 and 5.56×45. It is more Powerful Round and in terms of Penetration it works well but when it comes to accuracy 7.62×39 had some drawbacks(Also High Recoil)
AoA Salman bhai ! Your recoil control is very good. What would be a more scientific approach to these would be a sensor to measure the pressure difference between this and G-3. Would give a better understanding of the pressure felt by the recoil.
7.62x39 is much milder than the 7.62x51. Not only the case/powder capacity is much smaller, it is also set in a much lower pressure (45k psi compared to 58k psi)
This is not to be compared to G3 . G3 is a battle rifle and this is an assault rifle .two diff ent tools for two different roles . It’s like comparing SUV with a sedan.

Our military should have such modern and sophisticated weapon and calibres which should be out of the reach of general public. 7.62x39 is ubiquitous. The Chinese army adopted a unique cartridge and the U. S army also switched to the new SPC.
6.8 and 6.5 is nothing new and its certainly not some thing that public should be kept away from. People and their army should be using the same caliber.

Looks good. I love my roller delayed 556 so a modernized 7.62 would be a nice addition over using my mostly stock AK.
I like the idea of a vastly revamped and modernized G3 but using the good old AK cartridge.

After a long time
The empty shells thrown by the bolt are flying all around. Ideally, they should fly in one direction....This area needs consideration.
Same old reloading mechanism as G3. Time taking and power consuming. Modern close quarter combats doesn't spare time for such long loading mechanisms

Pakistan is perhaps the largest user of G3 rifles. 7th largest army mostly equipped with G3 all locally produced since 1964. Also a lot of mp5.

Pakistan army a fairly large amount of 762x39. Mostly chinease type 56.
