Honestly burna boy understands himself so well he doesn’t find the need to explain much and he knows how far he’s come and he’s raw and not trying to empress anyone he doesn’t want to expose much or say the wrong thing it may come off as rude but this wasn’t bad at all ❤️ but big ups to the interviewer she really held it down💯👏
The interviewer did not prepare very well for Mr. African Giant. She asked superficial and boring questions. Burna is a great conversationalist, and has an amazing sense of humour when engaged properly. If the interviewers vibe is off or the questions are absurd, he will give one word answers. The real Burna fans know this...
Honestly I saw this comment before watching so i came in with low expectations but I think you are wrong, the interviewer was engaged, went along with his banter and asked sensible questions. Burna can be non-chalant when he is ready
For context, Burna once walked out of an interview because “it was too boring”. He was gracious in this interview.
Ayoo 😂😂 which one though?
😀😀😀
This my guy .. you feel me … burna was managing not to leave
@@michaelkemas with his Family I think
old burna never tolerated any sh#t, lol
Oluwa Burna 🇳🇬 The world just don't understand how Nigerian entertainers are breaking all barriers and achieving great fits. Its simple, Nigerians are born great
It’s the fact that they are all surprised when Africans achieve something that baffles me. We are great, they just held us down for way too long! But we found a way to surpass all their barriers!
Wehh, Nigerians always full of theirselves 🇬🇭
@@njumbenjumbe9525 Ghanians are always so empty of theirsrelves.
You can tell the questions that he enjoyed and the ones he didn’t were more superficial or he had answered time and time before so he was very blunt. From watching all his prior interviews I know he can give so much more under the right circumstances and with a better interviewer.
His best interview so far is with Trevor , he is friend to him and he likes it when he interviews him ..
I think she asked really really deep and intelligent questions. She showed him a lot of respect and understanding as a fellow African. Same with Trevor but Trevor is a guy and his homie so it was more laughs. The BIG BOY interview with Burna Boy was HILARIOUS tho and blew Trevor out the water.

💯
When a man is rich, his rude and uncouth manners are excused. If this was Beyonce or any female act, y'all will call them rude
Burnas confidence is everything
His confidence got the interviewer nervous like wtf💔😂
And she was little bit intimidated.
Burna comes from the inside and he is always able to read between the lines, it takes someone with a matching energy to get the best out of him
Thank you!!!! They don’t get it! Innergy Speaks for itself. And Cancer’s (Lion of Judah) read Innergy VERY WELL!
@@DivineDescendant77 love lion of Judah
Say it with strength 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love him
Lmfaoooo
Guy is so confident and knows what he wants and where he wants to go that he could careless about anything
I really like his "one-word answers" Nigerian confidence (make you work to get more from him)
The fact that he gives more answers when the questions are about him an African/Nigeria..... DOPE!
Shoutout to the interviewer, she really did a great job keeping this interview going. Burma was very direct on this one, but she kept the vibe alive. Awesome.
Very true.. it'd been so boring with his direct response..but the interviewer was just excellent
E get why ..If he talks much headlines might come changing and twisting his words that’s why he was so direct trying to avoid that mess
@@emybrown7709 that is soo true
Naaaahh….he’s not vibing with her….Look at his interview with Trevor Noah or with Big Boi…They make him feel comfy…and he’s chill with them….and very hype….Meanwhile her, neeehhh…She’s not able to ease the situation and break that tension and awkwardness
Why did she keep shaking her right foot like she wanted to f*** him?
Great conversation ☺️
Burna was even charitable to her😏. I even thought he would stop answering some of her questions 😂
Chisom you got me LoL!!😀😀
Straight to the point guy. This mans a legend 🙌
Who probably noticed the sarcasm Burna pulled on there😆
Love this interview Burna Boy is a true artist the fact he mentioned Fela Kuti.👑🙌🏾🚀💫

It's not easy to interview Burna Boy cos he give such short answers, but the interviewer was great.
I ve been so distracted by legs fidgeting yet not to discrete a great job the billboard girl has done by adding a lot of context and storytelling since mr Burna is a word of a few words 😎 few new things we came to know , so thank you!
He got “me too” on camera .. Burna a legend .. she on it
The king 👑
I m still caught up in his ART 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥MSG Sold Out Performance . 🎶🎶🎶🎤🎤🎤‼️‼️‼️‼️😎
That night was special. We went crazy that night and he killed it wow
Burna is a Certified Goat 🐐
"It sounds like sentenced and not a question" that's how Burna reminded her how stupid her question sounds like.
Prearranged question, nervous, and naive, trying to tie Burna with Kanye West is like trying to downplay his achievements.
She was expecting Burna to get excited but he made her know that he doesn't care.
Yea, setup questions . I like how stupid Burna made her look, asking Burna if he had meet with Kanye west? For what exactly smh.
Cool down! She's a young African American Journalist. She's probably not thinking set up, more like "How do I make this worth it for the audience and my bosses." She knows burna hates interviews and I'm sure she was nervous because f that.
I knew from the beginning that she couldn’t carry this interview …. She needs to be versatile… burna is a great conversationalist…. You jus need to be able to be on his vibe 🔥
no but im screaming because from her introduction, I was like this babe is not it, and came straight to the comments. 😭
Yeahhhh
The Trevor NOAH interview was better
Yeah, the questions were fine but she's dry. The interviews with Jimmy Fallon and Trevor Noah are much more funny and exciting.
❤️ Burna 🔥🔥
Afro fusion: The biggest in the world right now
Burna Boy no 1
19:54 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this answer cracked me up ....
Africa Giant himself Champion if he easy make dem do am Grammy Global Album Winner Afro Fusion to the World 🌎
This guy said he wants to collab with Fela in heaven 🤣
Everybody go chop! Break fast
Burna “🐐
To interview Burna, you need to have a deep rooted Africanism. Surface questions will get you responses that make you think he is rude.
the gap between this and the Trevor Noah interview... Cant blame Burna
100%
Tbh most of her questions were set up questions . She probably doesn’t know burna doesn’t like granting interviews not to talk of questions like this being directed at him . But she did well by handling the situation too . Nice
Burna boy you are the best rapper and you are a legend and you are very funny 😁
African Giant 🐐🐐
She Fine fineee ooo
Burna is clearly not into interviews.
💯 Still A Giant 💥
Burna dey mad😂😂🔥

Burna can actually vibe with her but if she were without papers to question him.
Burnaboy is not making it easy for this lady.
Burna i think u shd use dat as ur nxt video inspiration wen u said the white i just had dat visual in my head how aso rock and white partying 2 burna boy song think abt it dat shit will be great
I get this energy from Burna that he dislikes doing interview.
FACTS! He has stated this before and Namix his manager says this too
💯🐐🙌
Burna boy is a different breed i don't know how he even managed to sit down for 30 minutes interview
Burna made this interview really difficult for the interviewer but she tried to hold everything together . Kudos to her, Burna was probably not in the mood for an interview or perhaps stressed
Maybe it was exactly the other way around. I think she made it quite difficult for him to give her appropriate answers to these superficial questions. See my comment on that if you feel like it.
Any time burna had to talk I promise u...u just be on the edge of ur seat.....cos u don't know what to expect
@@adamskazzah8320 hoping he doesn’t say something off lol , he wasn’t feeling it
If you watch a lot of his interviews, he is ALWAYS like that. He is not a talker at all even on the breakfast club, he is like that. Its not the fault of the interviewer.. Thats just him.. He is like that even to Nigerian interviewers.. so yeah. The only exception is that Trevor Noah show and even at that it was still difficult.
@@denatora7142 Why do so many of you complain about him not being real talkative in a lot of interviews? Not all. He‘s just being authentic. On the one hand that’s exactly what you love about him and on the other hand you blame him for being just the way he is. This seems kinda weird to me. What’s wrong in not liking interviews and feeling uncomfortable because interviews aren’t really organic in general. So, a lot of artists dislike them but it‘s sort of a necessity and the other part / side of their job most artists don’t like to do - also depending on their personality and moods etc… some are better in not showing the fact too openly that they hate being interviewed and some aren’t too good in „hiding“ or simply don’t care whether it’s blatantly clear that you don’t like them. Either way it‘s fine with me. If you listened to his mom and his manager in one person you‘d know a bit more about him and his personality. It is part of his real personal. She reveals the things he‘s very much into and the things he doesn’t like much or at all. Being interviewed is one of those things he doesn’t like.
Beautiful conversation 🌟🤩🔥🔥
Bro I don’t think
Fusion is genre
Fusion can’t be a genre
Fusion has been on before burna
@@redscakes2996 Mention one artist who called his/her music "afro fusion"
@@Ronny_Prilla that’s my point people have been infusing music since B.C but you can’t call fusion a genre.. fusion is context in music what burna is doing is called range .. imagine someone calling his music afro-sampling because he samples music won’t it sound dumb to you .. why haven’t nobody called their genre sampling? Because it’s something everybody does same as fusion!!
@@redscakes2996 Guy it's a genre and Burna Boy created it...I don't know about "fusion" but "afro fusion" is definitely Burna Boy's genre...you probably haven't listened to a lot of his music... listen to his latest song, you can't confidently say that's hip hop or RnB or reggae or Afrobeats, that's afro fusion
@@Ronny_Prilla lol what is fusion guy?? What is afrobeat in the first place ?? Is afrobeat not fusion ?? Is rhythm and Blues not fusion .. because you can do so many genres does make it a genre it’s called range .. i wish you could understand for real
I think she went on expecting certain answers. But truly bold Africans move different. Lol. Burna boyyyy
Like they from two different worlds
Burna needs a confident interviewer. He is confident I think he,enjoys good conversation and maybe expects it too. You can't let him put you off your track, gotta lead the conversation .Her constant foot motion is so anmoying girl we can see you,be still lol.
Love his personality!! I always say " fetched". I always say I'm fetched because I think wayyy outside the box and up the street and down the road!!🙂 and I always liked to watch stuff about aliens!! Crazy I know! Lol

Get with Tyler Perry and give a sample of what perfroming at the White House would be like. He has the Exact Replica as one of his studios..
Burna is not easy. He is also a Nigerian so you are not going to get Justin bieber when you interview him.
I see a lot of comment blaming the interviewer but whoever has followed burna since he burst onto the scene in 2012, this shouldnt be new. He is NOT a talker. This has always been his style, it takes someone very skilled to unlock him and it rarely happens ever. Burna is difficult to interview and that is because he is not a talker and answers very direct like a nigerian (I am one) and I know how we can be sometimes which can come out as arrogance but really Burna is just not very good at engaging in interviews. The trevor noah show was an exception and even at that it was still a bit difficult. I think burna should learn interpersonal skills a bit for interviews. You can be direct but also engage otherwise it makes things awkward. He is a phenomenal singer & Performer but not good in interviews. Not everyone can have everything, so its cool.
Unless he's in a comfortable space just like Trevor Noah
@@emmanuelkcy934 exactly
Even the few words he said almost took him the whole bottle of water 🤣
The Trevor Noah interview was mad funny😭😭😂😂
He talks when is ready but he loves to play the non-chalant "too cool for school" thing
I can feel her trembling 😂
burna boy
Guys y'all don't understand Burna-boy is doing what the late greats want to Achieve the late greats Marcus Garvey wanted us Malenin people of the world to Unite ❤🎉and enjoying life together ❤️ as one as we all from Alkebulan people we One🎉
FELA GRAND CHILDREN........
This was the first interview i watch of Burna and I felt the interviewer did not know how to connect with Burna. Normally Burna Is laughin and turn up but in this one I dont know .
you can clearly tell burna boy is a great conversationalist but i kinda blame the interviewer cos she’s making the questions to formal she isn’t basing some off the conversation they’re having which is making it boring. & stressing on the “Ye” thingy wasn’t really necessary in my opinion.
also she was acting all shaky & nervous idk but the body language wasn’t just it. it also had an impact on the interview not being interesting.
When he corrected her pronunciation of fela 😂😂😂 >>>>>>
Say it with strength 😂😂
I like the way Burna is unapologetically African.
😂😂like the vibe is offffff😂😂😂😂
If I was the interviewer, 2 minutes in, I would’ve just stopped cause wtf
I think he should attempt Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta.
I find this Awkward and then I feel Burna is been intentionally cause the interviewer is trying to downplay his hardwork and success strategically. I would have said Burna is unintelligent or high if I hadn't watch his other interviews, so yes he his pissed which makes this interview uninteresting.
Really uninteresting, the interviewer was asking stupid questions
My thoughts exactly. She was trying to be condescending. Her questions were to marginalize his success and to make him validate US culture which he did not succumb to. Burna Boy understands who he is. Respect to him for checking her in a mature way. An African Giant indeed.
On the contrary I think they both did well, her questions could have been more personal and in depth with who he is since he’s still emerging in the scene here.
