Heres my testimony. Before Christ found me i suffered from drug addiction and could not stop breaking the law. I ended up in state prison at age 20. I piccked up the Bible and cried out to Jesus for help. Since then i have accomplished more than i could imagine with His help. I was released from prison 6 months ago, today i attend church 3 times a week, read my Bible each night, have positive people in my life, i am finally the father my daughter needed, have a good job, just bought a car, and am happy. This is the power of Jesus. Hallelujah

I wanted to end my life cause I felt like I wasn’t good enough for anyone in this world. I’ve been through so much pain and I kept it inside cause nobody would’ve understood what I was feeling. Just a year ago I lost my sister due to suicide and that made me more empty inside. Jesus found me and I’ve been going to church, reading the Bible, and even got baptized this last Sunday. My sister, who passed away on November 25, 2023, introduced me to this group and this song. She was 39 when she passed from colorectal cancer. She played this song a lot. Today I sat for the first time and read all the words. I knew she was going through a lot but didn't want to open up. I had two months with her before she past and will always remember her sweet smile and her love for God. He helped her through all the pain even before her cancer and called her to him for eternal peace. Can't wait until we meet again. RIP Tina.

I swallowed a bottle of pain pills and went to sleep. An hour later I woke up crying, throwing up and praying to God for a reason to live. Found out the next day that my 17 yr old daughter was pregnant. I’ve been her biggest supporter and advocate. They have been my reason to get up in the morning. God has a plan for everyone. ❤

I injured my lower back and was awful in bed for two months. My exboyfriend left me. I was lost, had so much depression, and found no joy on anything. I attempted suicide but got a second chance. Many nights I would cry and hug the Bible. I heard this song on my car radio and I felt God knew what I was going thru. I decided to get baptized and a year later I got married to a wonderful Christian man. I am grateful to God❤

9 years ago I was suicidal because of depression due to being victim of sexual abuse... I was raised Catholic but was agnostic back then. I was angry with God, ready to take my life that same day... I asked myself, "then if you exist why? Why should I stay? Give me one f reason!" And as suddenly as I said that, as angry and lost as I was, a girl crying came running and I intercepted her and hugged her. Without realizing I told her "everything is going to be alright, I am here, I will be here". He answered me, he saved me, he gave me life and made me realize the beauty in this world... Now, 9 years after, I am so thankful for life, so thankful for Him... he is the only one who will know me, and that's ok for me, because He is all that I need... He is my everything

I lost a friend and for months, I told myself that I was unworthy that there was something wrong with me, but then I had my true encounter with God. God told me that there was nothing wrong with me that I was worthy and then God put these to you amazing beautiful girls in my life, and they have changed my life so much. I can’t imagine my life without them not only was it them who was changed my life, but it was also the power of God.

I cried when you said Jesus jumped in that hole with me. I’ve never felt something so relatable in my life. Our sweet Jesus. We don’t deserve him. Whoever is seeing this comment, after you hear this song I want you to listen to Kind by Cory Asbury. There’s a lot of things in my life that I’m so confused about, I genuinely think that I am in this deep hole that I can’t get out of so I started blaming God for disappointing me because I felt like he didn’t come through for me. Kind changed my way of thinking. It’s hard not to doubt God in the midst of trials, right now I still am struggling but one thing I realized is that if we truly believe that our Lord is for us, then He will always be working for our good. No matter if your present doesn’t look too good. There is always a reason with our God.

To anyone who's fighting different kinds of battles alone, just know that God loves you and he's working to help you get through them even when you don't feel like it. And know that there's nothing wrong with getting help when you can't bear them anymore. Sometimes God help comes from unexpected situations✨.

I told them I was tormented growing up, bullied and isolated by my peers I promised myself if I ever saw someone eating alone I would introduce myself. I know how it feels to be lonely and physically feel my heart break from loneliness. It could break persons heart. I hate it. Now I have a lot of friends at church and at work. I guess it pays to be a good person.

There's someone I love in critical condition rn due to a bad motorcycle wreck and I'm honestly lost and hurting rn but I decided to turn to God for help through all the pain his family and I are going thru. I'm constantly praying for he and his family. I cant see him bc I'm not family, but I believe God can pull him through though.
Thats crazy. My stepdad WAS the one in the motorcycle accident. He’s told us his testimony on how he injured his leg badly. He also said there was a witness of this that felt bad, and he wish he could tell them he was okay. Eventually he did! It’d be crazy if you were that witness from my step dad’s testimony!
@@Sillypet25-jn8pe the person I was talking about is doing better now and it happened in Brantley county in Georgia. I'm not sure if that's the one you're talking about. The person I was talking about was chased while on a motorcycle and the guy almost killed him. He was lucky to come out of it and be as good as he is now. He had brain surgery, he should have died but he's also my boyfriend so I am happy he made it out alive. It was a rough few months.

My life froze. I was in shock I turned my head putting my hat above my eyes so he couldn't see me cry.

I'm in pain but people expect me to be happy all the time. They expect me to be happy since I'm the youngest in my family, I got things easier. But I still feel the pain I had as a child, up till now. It still hurts and I'm scared to tell anyone about it. I feel broken and lonely. "Music calms the savage beast" & Christian music works on a physiological & spiritual level. We r communing w God. Our brain releases lots of good stuff. To a Christian, anyway, we need to "feed" the spiritual soul or our faith, enthusiasm really weakens. We feel God anoints these songs. Our physical body reacts most favorably, also!
@JH OMG!! Didnt i say listening to Christian music or Scripture is an adjunct to MEDS. Often, meds get us to a point where we CAN appreciate God's anointed & uplifting music. I have had depression, anxiety, OCD following a postnatal depression. I attempted suicide once & have had the ideation sometimes, but never to that point. Psych meds helped me immensely. Christian music helps me spiritually. If we can stay strong & joyous by Christian music & worship, I feel, w r less "suseptible" to effects of depression, etc. I am terribly sorry for ur loss, but u've obviously misread my comment.Only a Christian can really understand this. If ur not born again, u do not have God's Holy Spirit in ur soul. That is the agent in our hearts & minds that recognize the Spirit in whatever form. i realize u may not "get this" but i cant help that. Peace.

Chances are y'all won't read this, but this is one of the most touching songs y'all have written.
I'm 14, and ever since I was little I've been moving across the state of Arkansas because of my dad's work so I never really got to make good friends and I always felt alone. I felt that no one cared about me anymore and everyone had deserted me.
Then, I started middle school. A lot of kids bullied me because of the way I looked and my weight, and I felt like giving up. I would have nightmares that would rob me of my sleep but I never wanted to stay awake because I would have these hallucinations of monsters and so I just wouldn't sleep. Since they only came when it was dark, is stay on my phone all night just so the light would keep away the monsters. And I felt I couldn't tell anyone this because it would just give them more it a reason to bully and mock me. I was so hurt inside that there were says where I felt I just couldn't go on. I pressed that God would end my life and would get upset when he wouldn't.
Then, one night, I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed and I saw a Bible verse, and I don't quite remember the Bible verse but I knew that it was God telling me not to give up and that he was still there.
So, I began to ignore what people said about me and then I met some friends in the online school I was doing and we became really close. And through talking with them, I found out that one of my friends in particular goes through the same thing I go through. He also has bad nightmares that keep him awake, and sees monsters, and also, similar to me, has really bad paranoia. So, through talking with him, he was able to help me see that God is still with me and that He knows what I go through and that He hasn't deserted me.
And when I saw y'all were going to release this song and it gave me a good reason to stay up till midnight. And when I first heard this song I was in tears, because it talked about everything that I go through and listening to this song has really helped me.
So I want to say thank you so much for this song, it is one of the most touching songs I've ever listened to, and a definite favorite from the whole album.

I want you to know I've suffered loss in my life since my devoted wife passed away in December of 2016. Also, read Psalm 23, Psalm 46 and Psalm 34. Yes, I'm looking for people to talk to. At the same time, I want to give people the tools that will help them have a more positive life. I feel the Bible and good Christian music will give people the help they need to overcome their problems.
I really like this song but I always watched a lyric video so I could sing along, I just watched this one and it did make me tear up. There's so much pain in the world that we don't know about. If only we could reach out to those that need a shoulder to cry on.
Hello, this is Donald. I agree people need a shoulder to cry on. I want to provide people positive things that will help them when they're in pain. The Bible and good Christian music are two of these things. I really wonder if people realize how many stations play good Christian music. As I said, I fully understand people sometimes need a shoulder to cry on. I am one of those people. My wife died in December of 2016. She died on a Saturday. I am trying to tell people about Christian music and the book of Psalms which is so beautiful and practical for hard times. Well, I guess I've made a long speech. But those are my thoughts.

God has delivered me from countless episodes of diabetic ketoacidosis & I had a heart attack in January 2020, my second one, & I died for 6 minutes, but was resuscitated. I'm only 12, I struggled a lot with trying to find God and loving myself and not being afraid of what's next, hearing any song from them or from Lauren makes me cry, hearing there songs makes me remember how much I actually am loved. these days it's hard for someone as young as me to love myself and be happy with me. there was always like a wall between me and God, I moved from a public school to a private school recently and I've been getting better it is helping me break my barrier, I'm not fully there but I'm getting there, it's not easy at all but sitting back and remembering that God didnt bring me this far just to give up on me instead he's here to help me and that's what he's been trying to do, I've wanted to get baptized all the sudden, I feel that I am ready, I cry about it cause I'm kinda scared to ask my mom I'm afraid she will say I'm not ready or she thinks I need more time cause I know and I feel that I'm ready, I'm ready to put my whole heart into His hands, I'm not afraid anymore, my relationship with everyone is getting better, I feel that doing that will get me over the rest of my wall, I'm still working on everything but I just wanted to share that again I know I'm only 12 but I am ready.

So develop a lifestyle of prayer - praying all the time, everywhere you go, in the midst of your daily routine. 'Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you' (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV). God cares about every detail of your life.
So when you become anxious about something, talk to him about it. And don't forget to read his Word. That way when a problem comes up you can say, 'Father, you said in your Word you would do this for me,' then quote the promise and stand on it.
