The KRL in Jakarta, Indonesia is considered the commuter line here in Jakarta. With over 1,000,000 daily passengers! That is 3x the amount of people who live in the City i was born in! - CRAZY!
We wanted to film this because we had recently done a review of the MRT in Jakarta and thought that it was a very modern and new system but had NO PASSENGERS ! So we wanted the more authentic experience!
    So here we go.. enjoy!

KRL is in great demand by the public because the train connects the buffer city and the city of Jakarta, KRL also has a longer line and has existed for a long time before the MRT. Maybe you can also try the Transjakarta bus, friends 🙏

@@yourmatematt yes most of people didn't know about it, I have try it when i was in Jakarta 8 year ago on 2014. the bus will touring around tourist destination and will pass by at Bundaran HI , sarinah, Thamrin museum, cathedral Church, Istiqal Mosque in Jakarta and others places in Central Jakarta only include kota tua too.
you can try public transportation like bus it called Trans Jakarta using E_Money card that you can top up . that card are available for all public transportation in jakarta like bus Trans Jakarta , MRT, LRT in Jakarta you can visit velodrome in Jakarta that located in east Jakarta and other City in North Jakarta. it can because for KRL too and other shops that accept E_Money Card. it's useful for you to travel using public transportation around Jakarta from east to west Jakarta and to North and central Jakarta.

KRL is packed because it covers a lot bigger region, carries a lot more passengers. Thus it has much bigger and longer train than MRTs. Single KRL trainsets can consists of minimum 8 carriages, but often 10 carriages and sometimes 12 carriages. You would literally travel for hours just to cris-cros Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The furthest station would be Rangkasbitung station (the green line). It takes almost two hours to travel from the terminus to the city center. The Bogor and Cikarang line can be quite long journey as well.
Yes, Bogor line (the red line) is long but the line is mostly dense urban area. while the green line is a bit mixed between Urban and Rural area and even some greeneries.
The terminus of Green line at Rangkasbitung station is so far even no longer part of Jakarta metropolitan area and entirely different city with different phone area code, different vehicle plate registration series code, and different police department.

My two cent tips for you, the best and wise way travelling around jakarta is by public bus or commuter train, very cheap, quite comfy all with AC, and just buy the card from chain store name the indomaret or alfamart the card name e- money or flazz. The card is acceptable for all of the public transportation system in jakarta ( one for all ). And you can top up the balance at every indo or alfamart store. My suggestion for you, take the airport train from airport to the downtown to avoid the traffic jam. VV. And if you take the train when you traveling around Java is the best choice, you will be paid with astonishing scenery along the way. Use the app from your cell phone for reservation the ticket. They accepted int' C card.

It hasn't been this way if you look as far as 10 years ago, these are the lines where people tend to get on top of the roof at times but it has gradually improving ever since. Still not quite as Japan so this is only the beginning, hopefully we could improve it to much better with leveled boarding and all. Anyhow you should try the airport train at 3:26 someday, loving the vlog can't wait to see more, my suggestion would probably be taking more of the public transportation here like transjakarta BRTs

  • @henryhamilton4087
    @henryhamilton4087 Před 22 dny

    Fact :
Not all KRL lines are equal
The best line is the Bogor line as it runs the most on time and is least crowded
The worst one is the Tangerang line. The trains arrive less frequently (every 15-30 mins) so it's always packed even off rush hours. Can also sometimes be late (by a couple of minutes).
Mostly because it shares a track with the airport train, limiting the capacity.
KEEP IN MIND that overall the KRL is still a very well maintained and reliable public transit system, one of the best in SEA and even the world. Delays exist but are rarely if ever over a couple of minutes. The main issues are overcrowding (which is an issue with every train system in any major city during rush hour), and frequency of service (which is an issue mainly on the Tangerang Line and some parts of the 'Loop' line)

Actually Depok City is part of West Java province that closed to the capital city of Indonesia are called Jakarta. but in future the capital City of Indonesia will move to another province in east kalimantan it will be our new capital City in the future. so jakarta is located in Java Island that surrounded by many City around west Java like Depok , Bekasi, Bogor , tangerang city are part of west Java District. that's way Jakarta become the megacity of Indonesia were you can meet local people that come from 34 province in Indonesia for better study and working . the commuter rail system in Jakarta are connected to all line in Java Island that you can travel to East Java, west Java and central Java from Gambir station in central Jakarta.
so Depok city are outside of Jakarta District are not part of Jakarta but part of west Java province are many city like bekasi, bogor, bandung and other city that part of west Java.

For UI, short for Universitas Indonesia or University of Indonesia, it's not just the lake that is said to be haunted, but almost every faculty zone has its own take on the supranatural. Stories ranging from the ghost of a student who died on her way to her graduation ceremony, the lady in red, the pitch black figure, the lady in purple, the flying hawker cart, the lady in white flying alongside the campus bus, etc etc etc. Whether you believe it or not (given that Universities are supposed to be places for the rational haha), these stories undoubtedly add flavor to campus life, for students, faculty members, locals around the university, and visitors alike. :D
