Bro i don't think kozhikode halwa is all that great, i too went all the way from kollam and tried different halwa, but i liked the hALWA at kottarakkara vijayas bakery, it won't last very long because it doesn't have preservatives, but it's really good. Also since you're a kollamite, you should try kottarakkara coffee house, they have really fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices, but aalappuzha and trivandrum coffee houses are garbage. Also whatever you do, don't go to Thomson's Adoor, they like to serve old food, it's totally overrated in central Travancore. Believe it or not kollam had really decent food, compared to malabar. I tried Paris hotel biryani in thalassery it wasn't all that great, but raravees had decent mutton curry. But if you want good biryani try the biryani spot's inside LULU mall. I think malabar food is way overrated, i personally think kollam has the best food
Of course! I’m a kollamkaren. We used to have bakery, I know all about halwa taste, also we used to get it from different areas. I have tried to mention, if you want to try variety halwas, deff go to Kozhikode.
