Thailand tourism is past repair, it needs a major reboot and I have called it for 2 years. It will not start to pick up until maybe November 2023. Thailand tourism is for Thais and residents only now. The sex tourists are not wanted. Great to see the Thais enjoying their own land. It’s sad to see many struggle but even before Covid, life was a struggle for many.
Hua Hin has been my second home since from 2009, now I haven’t visit since 2020… Btw, there’s a better mall, called Market Village. Also would like to see how my neighborhood Khao Takiab is doing. There are two amazing beaches. There’s also a day market every tuesday, thursday and saturday on the temple grounds. 🙏😔

@@ridewithgabi market village is for everyone, blúport is more expensive lol , don’t forget cicada night market , I love hua hin , spend about 5 months a year in that beautiful place , I’m returning on march 28th , it can’t come quick enough , and one of my favourite places is baan khun por on soi 88 , especially when there is live music
People in hua hin are nice. Love them. Also foods are delicious.
Be in Hua Hin, November 9 2022, looking forward to visiting never been to Hua Hin before, been to many places in Thailand over the last 20 years. my lovely wife is Thai.

I have been going to Hua Hin since 2003 but the last few years unable to go
Now with restrictions I have pushed going there until fall of 2022
Soi Binta Baht was the place to go for night life but I have heard Soi 80 and 95 have expanded some night life as the new place

Tamarind market behind Cicada is better . Also the food court on soi 88 is my fav with live music & cheaper food.
Have driven through an stayed locally 2018-19 .. was busy then .. didn't stay long enough to explore ..on way to Ranong koh phayma island

Hi again Gabi. I did an application for the Phuket sandbox but since they announced reopening test and go from Feb 1st I would prefer to wait and do that instead. Do I need to cancel my current Thai pass when I apply for a new one? Or does it just cancel itself when I make a new one? Hope that makes sense! Thank you so much! P.S My pass has been approved.
Great vid Gabi. I can only come to Thailand in May. Would you say that is an ok time to come to Hua Hin? I heard it is not so bad with rain and monsoon. What do you think? Or is there another, better area I should think of visiting?

I live in Bangkok but came down for the weekend. It’s dead as can be. Last night 8 PM felt like midnight. 🥴
cicada market is more for popular for art, music and fashion and the other market which is called tamarin market is more popular for food.
Phuket remind me about Miami beach,and Hua Hin kind like Cabo,but I still missed Hua Hin

You left out Market Village which is much busier than Blueport.
Hi Gabi, could you pls sugguset a way to travel from Phuket to Hua Hin (family with a kid)? Bus? Flight?
An option could be to hire a driver or rent a car.
Option 2 the bus but it’s a long way and a bit intense. Option 3 fly to Bangkok and then take a bus or minivan south to hua hin.
I am sure there are other options, but those are the one coming to mind right now
I live in HuaHin and I also own a resort there called surf and sand and it next to the beach at khao takiap soi 14 lovely breach here
I enjoyed Hua Hin didn’t see as much as I wanted

For now I am planning to stay here. I might visit Italy during the summer.

Think carefully before making a decision to retire in Thailand, there are lots of pros and cons.

@@Masta2A I lived in Hua Hin for 10 years left 4 years ago , now back in the U.K. Before the pandemic visited Thailand two or three times a year which is fine for me as I am retired. It's just my opinion but Thailand tourism started going downhill way before the pandemic. Take care 🙂

I didn’t see caves this time. But yes the most popular around there is Phraya Nakhon cave
The last time I was in hua hin was in 2019
We would like to stay Hua Hin area for a year or so and somewhere central to markets and beach without the expensive accommodation. Maybe an apartment with a kitchen. Any areas you can suggest to make enquiries, the internet is very misleading. Monthly rental around 10.000 baht. Be appreaciated
How modern and posh do you want it ????
Basic, prefer to be able to cook, 2 bedroom be great within a couple of kilometers to a beach

20 million bath for 10 years can give you comfortable but not over the top luxurious, lifestyle in Hua Hin or even Bangkok

Yes Test and Go has been reactivated but with more hoops to jump through. Just a money grab for the government.
