Love this! Thanks for putting your top 5 together!
Great video Gabe! Love the drone shots. Being a golf newbie, it gives me inspiration for what I can look forward to. Great seeing you at Sawgrass. Not surprised it came in #1 for you. It's stunning!
How crazy is it that we bumped into each other at Sawgrass! What a magical place.
Great List. Florida has so many great courses. It's tough choose a favorite. I think Copperhead has to be in the top 5.
Yes this was a tough one. It caused a lot of dissension and debate.
Thank you, agree TPC Sawgrass is my #1 also....played Hammock Beach Ocean course in April...man the winds are crazy!
Great video! I personally loved the ocean side holes at Hammock Beach but overall Tiburon takes the cake for me!
Tiburon is spectacular, no doubt about it.
Man, how blessed are we in Florida with amazing golf!!? This is a great list, when you think of everything that COULD be on this list as well, it's pretty awesome. Southern Dunes in Haines City is GREAT, Champions Gate International has really become a pristine conditioned course again, Old Corkscrew north of Naples is great as well. Conditioning has fell off recently, but World Woods north of Tampa is another gem.
You are so right, Bill. Spoiled for choice. Great additions to the list, thank you.
Wow Champions Gate is good again? Going to have to check that one out.
My top 5 that I have played in Florida: #5 is Champions Gate International Course, #4 TPC Tampa Bay, #3 Streamsong Blue, #2 Innisbrook Copper Head, #1 Bay Hill.
Solid list! Thanks for sharing
Finally got a round to watching this one (trying to watch some of the older videos). I have been lucky enough to play Hammock Beach, Bay Hill and Streamsong. Tiburon and Sawgrass are on my list to play. And I would love to Black Diamon Ranch. Was to have played there in October of last year, but it feel through.
Nice John! Yes so many gems. We are spoiled for choice in Florida
Played Hamock Beach in September for a tournament and I loved it. Definitely one of the best courses in Florida
Wow great work, all very nice golfclubs, i like these for vacation golf FL. greetings Belgium.
Thanks for checking it out 😃
A great top 5, but so, so many great courses to choose from. Pat and I share great memories playing at Champions Gate in Davenport. Hard to believe that place is only about 15 years old.
Thanks Steve, what were a couple other favorites?
Celebration Golf Club was fun I also recall Gabe.
TPC Sawgrass is definitely #1, B.H. is also very nice. I enjoyed the King & Bear courses not too far away & many rounds at Disney’s Palm, Magnolia, and Lake Buena Vista Golf Courses...
Those are some great ones indeed. Thank you
I’ve played 4 of the 5 courses featured and the Ocean course at Hammock Beach is by far the best one. Immaculate fairways, great rolling greens, and the most dramatic ocean views at 9, 15, and 18.
Awesome. Yes, its so underrated in most rankings.
Top 5 personal favorites I have played, based in Melbourne, FL.
5. Orange County National Crooked Cat, Winter Garden, FL
4. Eagle Creek, Lake Nona, FL
3. Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, Orlando, FL
2. Waldorf Astoria, Orlando, FL
1. Florida Club, Stuart, FL
Nice, thank you for the contribution
My Favorite Five in Florida are #1 World Woods (PIne Barrens), #2 Lely (Flamingo), #3 Pelicans Nest, #4 Saddlebrook, #5 Olde Hickory
Lived in Fort Myers for 6 years and moving in October. So I’m going to list my top 5 with my own Perspective and these are resorts as well so it could be multiple courses. 5. World Woods. 4.Bay Hill 3. Tiburon 2. Verandah (old orange more specifically) 1. Old Corkscrew. My personal favorite that plays to my strengths, is in very good condition, and you can catch for $25 in the summer is a Davis Love design called “River Hall.” I just love it for the shape and design. Doesn’t compete with the 5 above but I would pick it to play over all of them on a budget.
Very solid list - thanks for sharing - gotta check out River Hall.
Raptor Bay is also a hidden gem.
Ed Strazz raptor bay was good when I first moved down here. Played it a month ago and it was in bad condition for the price. It was in $30 condition for $75 green fees in summer.
Babcock ranch and river hall are 2 fantastic spots for a 30$ round
Solid list
Live about 30 minutes from Black Diamond. It’s a beautiful course. Highly suggest you give Juliett Falls in Dunnellon and Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville (my hometown) a try. Both beautiful courses.
I always enjoy playing Grand Cypress when I’m in Orlando. Heading back in 3 weeks and playing Bay Hill, Streamsong Red, and possibly PGA National.
Wow, that’s a trifecta right there...Enjoy!
@@LetsPlayThru I reconsidered PGA National because of the carnage at the Honda. Then Bay Hill happened. So it's back on the list lol.
Haha, nice!
Played Fox Hollow GC yesterday. Reasonably priced at $63 and a great track. Last course designed by RTJ Sr. Some nice 8-10 foot gators out there too. I played a horrendous round and still had a blast.
I should mention it's in Trinity about 30 minutes from Tampa.
63 sounds good, I checked a few of these and 3-500/ round is out of my budget lol beautiful courses though
Me and my buddies used to adore the course and was worth the money but last 2/3 months it’s shit!!!
World Wood’s Pine Barrens is my Florida no. 1
Definitely worthy of an honorable mention.
I'm right there with you on that! I'm close enough that I get to play WW often, and EACH time is a treat....pure golf - either Pine Barrens or Rolling Oaks!!!
@Lets Play Thru world woods got bought ans being renamed to Cabot farms. They will keep both courses and should open later this year I believe. Check it out
One of the best I've been to is Ritz - Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, ya'll have to check it out!
Nice, thanks
I love Florida ,thanks
I live by the Colony West Golf Club, I love it.
Any suggestions for a new golfer, that’s possibly heading to south beach this august
Also, in Palm, Coast is a course called the conservatory! It’s stunning
World Woods - Pine Barrens, Old Corkscrew, Raptor Bay, Innisbrook, Cheval.
So glad I live in Florida
My brother use to work at Lake Nona G. & C.C., Orlando and I thought that was a pretty amazing course.
That’s a beautiful club, but private and VERY exclusive. So for that reason it couldn’t make our list.
@@LetsPlayThru It's an excellent course. My team visited a few times last year. Fun to be on the range next to Stenson and Curtis Luck.
@Swayt - That’s awesome. I’ve played it once and Annika was hitting next to me on the range.
Thank you sir for this video. Coming down soon
Hope you enjoy the trip!
Have you guys checked out Southern Dunes in Haines City. Truly a hidden gem. 16 acres of sand on the course. Also how do you feel about Orange National?
Love hammock beach ocean course such a pure course
Being from central Florida bay hill and mission in we’re always the nicest golf courses of all time
Gotta play King & Bear at World Golf Village when visiting The World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, FL.
Yes those are two very good ones for sure. Thanks for the reminder
Great list, but don't agree with the honorable mention. Black Diamond's quarry holes are only about 5 holes, the rest of it plays pretty plainly. Love the top 5 though.
Valid criticism. We just thought it’s so completely unique within Florida, but many more could be there as well.
Hey there! Just found your channel. Have you guys played Deer Island Country Club? It's another hidden gem near Tavares, FL. Worth the drive! Stunning course. My friend and I golfed there this weekend on a trip to FL and we will absolutely be back!
Must say, I haven’t but certainly will check it out. Thanks.
@@LetsPlayThru I would love to play it with you in the next month or so if you'd be down to play together!
Yes!! Played there in '95 & '96 after it just opened.
Lakewood National, also longboat key and waterleefe
Obviously from the 941 area
Awesome picks. Thank you
Southern Dunes in Haines City is the best Florida course I’ve played!
A couple of people have mentioned that one. It was not on my radar to be honest but definitely is now.
TPC Streamsong, MissionInn, World woods, Back Diamond,
I live just south of hammock beach and have yet to play it.
TOP 5 I HAVE PLAYED IN THE ORLANDO /Tampa AREA , if anyone is looking to try out some great courses…..
1-BAY HILL
2-INNISBROOK COPPER HEAD
3-RITZ CARLETON
4-DISNEY PALM COURE
5-GRAND CYPRESSLINKS
HI there, can you recommend a few courses that fit this bill located in the St Pete/Clearwater/Tampa area. Thanks!
Hi Gregory - the #2 on our list, Streamsong, is only 45 min from Tampa. Some other great options would include Innisbrook’s Copperhead and TPC Tampa. Hope that helps!
Played 3 of your top 5
I have got to go to Streamsong!
Yes it’s about as good as it gets
Bro this video is insanely good
Thanks so much. I bet you could do a sweet Georgia version with all those awesome tracks up there
Lets Play Thru of course. I’ve thought about it before and actually gave my rankings of the top public courses in GA on a podcast but I just love how you had so much quality footage at each of the courses.
One of my favorite courses in Florida is in Brooksville It's called world woods they have 36 holes rolling oaks, then my favorite Pine Barons. They have three practice holes so you can get there way before your tee time and play them as many times as you want It's a part four part three and a par 5
That recently got purchased by the Cabot company. It's being completely renovated and will re-open as Cabot Citrus.
@@LetsPlayThru WHAT That sucks when I lived in Florida I used to play that course for $45. After 1:00. Pine Barons was my favorite
I want to move to Ocala Florida, So I can drive my golf cart to town, horseback riding, and golfing. Would that be a possibility to hit all three!? Thx
Lol 😆!! Sounding different, I will love to introduce you a free promotional offers in my area
I"ll give an unsung 2 - Vinoy Club on Snell Island and Plantation Preserve near Pembrooke PInes
Thanks Gregory! Vinoy is near us. Do like their double greens.
preserve is great but it’s not even the nicest course in a 3 mile radius
Yes, 5 best courses you can play in Florida if you make 6 figures a year.
Lets see your top 5 for the poor folk. Who said golf was cheap?
Great video but I think that Calusa Pines in Naples Florida in just a little better than Tiburon.
Calusa is also private. Did you miss the first two minutes of this video?
How about Old Corkscrew in Estero? I know it's not super rich in off course amenities but the golf is spectacularly difficult.
That was on Pats list too
Incredible track, love that place, very tough though!
Surprised that pine barrens at world woods doesn’t make the cut. I prefer it to some others on the list.
That is a good one too when course is in shape.
What is the best place to play at in Cocoa Beach, FL?
Edward Sanders nothing absolutely outstanding. It would probably be worth traveling to Orlando or a little north for something special.
Duran
Was lucky to tick off sawgrass on the bucket list trust me worth every penny
Absolutely
When the video started, I said to myself if Sawgrass is number one I’m never watching this channel again.
Why...? You are able to play it
Looks like one long ad for resort courses...if that's the case Doral is far better than Tiburon. World Woods and Crandon probably best value in state.
After living and playing in Jacksonville for the last 30 years and playing tpc a few times, I have to say the Dye's Valley Course on the Sawgrass property is a better course on a day to day basis then the Stadium. I do agree with your thouggt on #4, it's my favorite of the 18 too.
Florida is full of amazing courses whether you play the rolling hills of The Deltona Club or Debary CC off the east I-4 corrodor, or hit Candler Hills or Juliette Falls in Ocala, or maybe catch 18 at the hidden gem in Jacksonville Hidden Hills, there's always amazing golf to play here.
Remeber to fix your divots and repair your ball marks!
PGA National is worth a mention
Absolutely!
What about Lakewood National Golf Club?
Good one!
Thank you! Scrolled way too far down to see this place on someone’s list. Top five all day.
I think Blue Monster at Trump National Doral should definitely be on this list
Definitely a contender
In Clearwater Florida you should play Cove Cay it is the BEST. Clearwater is on the west coast of Florida, Tampa airport is 25 minutes away. Right off of highway 19 north.
😂 you got a great sense of humor. And forget to send people down to Chi Chi’s course too.
You can’t be serious 🤣
I thought black diamond was private?
BELLA COLINA
Good addition, thanks
welcome to consult me about oem odm Golf rangefinder
I have a question for you and it’s not a joke? I live in the UK. If you hit a golf ball into the rough in Florida do you leave the ball there and drop a shot, or risk getting bitten by a rattle snake, of a alligator. Lol
You man up and hit it because Florida man is the Apex Predator 😜
@@LetsPlayThru I’ve been to Florida twice and I’m afraid of snakes, more so the ones you have over there. I think I would be dropping shot or 9. Lol
Tiburon is my home course
Nice.What’s your favorite hole?
@ let's play thru, 2 on Gold or 18 on black
Am considering joining as well….any thoughts now that you have been a member for a while?
#5 Hammock Beach
#4 Bay Hill
#3 Blue Monster
#2 Innisbrook Copperhead
#1 TPC Sawgrass Stadium
Solid list
Don't know why they included Black Diamond as an honorable mention....Its private and exclusive!
I played it in May. They opened it up for 1 day for those of us with the Big Summer golf card. It was pretty awesome!!
@@tommygust9844 Yep, I've had the chance to play it as well. It is awesome, but I wouldn't include it in a list of "courses you can play". I guess I interpret that as courses that are not private - open to the public on a regular basis - either as a resort or public access course. There are MANY fine courses that anyone can play at pretty much any time....One close by to Black Diamond is Juliette Falls in Dunnellon - GREAT course!
How about Innisbrook??
kiva dunes is amazing
What part of the state is that? I have to check it out
@@LetsPlayThru nevermind i thought it was in florida but its in alabama still a great course
You cant just go walk on to bay hill you need to be a club member or registered guest of the club
Thank s Bryan. Lodge guests can also play which is what qualifies in this case.
Isnt bay hill private
You can play it if you lodge there.
Bella Collina?
It’s a great one, but this list was specifically resort or clubs that allow public play. Bella Collina is private.
I think they allow the public to play now, but I could be mistaken?
Actually, it looks like you are right. That’s very interesting. Certainly a great track.
Bay Hill is private.
Yes, however they do have stay and play packages which are open to the public.
Not sure what the criteria is but if we're looking at pure golf without factors like amenities & history - Bay Hill is very average and Streamsong (all courses) is overrated.
Black Diamond, Copperhead, & Pine Barrens are much better tracks.
Also, is Black Diamond not private anymore?
You’re right about Copperhead. We recently played it in tournament condition and it was absolutely fabulous.
Pine Barrens could have made the list but the last time we played it was not in good shape. Great layout though.
Black Diamond allows stay and plays which qualified them for the list.

This is the most old Florida white man thing I've seen so far
"courses you can play" if you are filthy rich.
This video was 5 min too long.
I live in Massachusetts but on my trip to Florida I played Madison Green in West Palm Beach. By far my favorite course
Will have to check that one out. Thanks for the tip!
Tough course but a good one for sure!
Good lord, it’s rubbish! Well, now at least. Staff is A1
