      Good luck with the SuperT. Awesome bike. I rode the 2012, I wonder how the 2021 would feel. Yamaha is amazing!

    Like your review :) I drove KLR for many years (still have 2 in the garage) always wanted a Super Tenere ever since it's release in 2010 (European market) finally last January one was locally available and I jumped on it. I love this bike. don't get me wrong I still love the KLR for its simplicity and availability of parts worldwide. But as you found out on your test drive it is nice to have a bike with power were you don't have to plan ahead if you need to pass somebody. Twist the throttle and go. Also I find that Tenere is very well balanced and i enjoy driving her more off pavement then the KLR.

      Riding the Tenere is a completely different riding experience compared to the Kawi. In no way is that a dig at the KLR as it is fantastic bike in it's own way but the Tenere is just more of a refined riding machine. The Tenere I rode was meticulously taken care of. It was beautiful... and the grunty power... I liked it a lot!

    Growing up, I've never been interested in the Adventure Bikes, as in the past I rode Supersports. Currently, I love my CRF250L, but it obviously lacks the long distance aspect of riding. Recently I've been itching to go on a long ride, so been looking into the different adventure bikes out there. Thanks for the review.

      Yeah, the ADV segment offers to motorcycling something that cruisers and sport bikes lack. The ability to go far comfortably, carry lots and to keep going when the pavement ends. This has become my favourite type of riding.

    The ST was actually one of the bikes I was looking to buy this year. But, ....I decided to save a ton of money and ease into adventure riding and got the '17 KLR.

      The weight of these bigger bikes is not as forgiving as the weight of KLR. You will have alot more fun off road on you bike. But on the long rides these bigger bikes are a bit better.

    I know what you mean about have that power. I have a Suzuki cruiser and a Yamaha FJ-09. It’s really nice to twist that throttled on the yammy :) ride safe bro.

    Just bought this bike and found that the modes are on the fly but you just have to pull the clutch in before you flick the mode switch.

      @Peeohtrek  Před 3 lety +1

      I found that out after I returned the bike. The owner informed me.... I wish I knew that before I rode it, lol. Thanks for watching.

    Love Yamaha, I just wish they would have used a 21" front instead of 19.

    • @Peeohtrek
      @Peeohtrek  Před 6 lety +1

      The 21 would help a bit but it's still pretty heavy. Almost GSA territory in weight and without the extra fuel range.

      I'm glad it had the 19" the 21" always has no more than a 90/90 tyre and is always slow to turn in
