I also fish spinning reels with right hand retrieve, most Northern Hemisphere people fish spinning reels (Coffee grinders) left handed. Never could figure it out. Why would you fish a level wind reel right handed and then a spinning reel left handed. Great video, hope to be down there some time in Oct - Nov, depending on a lot of stuff of course.

This debate could go on for decades but being a right-handed angler, all of my spinning, baitcasting, & fly reels are all set up for left-hand retrieves. That's because I want to be able to work my baits (& fight fish) with my dominant hand & arm while reeling with my left. Most spinning & fly reels these days can be set up for either preference right out of the box, but they've only started making BCs with left-hand retrieves in recent years. However if I was left-hand dominant, I would probably prefer right-hand retrieves on my reels. Hope to see you in Roatan soon so we can discuss further.
