My wife and I use to do Halloween every year. It was our favorite holiday. Parties, visiting haunting house, seeking real ghost and participating in Day of the dead holiday. Now after giving our life to Christ we don't even want to be near it because we feel it in our spirit it is not right. Lord we repent for taking part in any of these festivities.

I was really into Halloween, I had thousands of dollars worth of Halloween stuff I collected. I made a lot of my own decorations too. Then I had a thought would I show this to Jesus and be proud of it. That’s when the Holy Spirit convected me. I threw it all away.
I used 2 celebrate Halloween until God opened my eyes & gave me wisdom and convicted me of this
I explained to my children and they understand why we Christians don't celebrate Halloween, glad they understand, Hallelujah glory to God forever 🙏🙌❤

as a Christian, I was taught against Halloween, and now that I became more mature(I'm 18 right now), I look at Halloween the way my parents did. I cringe at the spooky decorations people set up. In my mind, I go "why would God's creation ever make such demonic decorations. Costumes and outfits was the true struggle for me. I tried to dress up like more neutral things like a "survivor" player(in case you haven't watched the show, a survivor player would wear a buff, has like a fishing net, wears a necklace with shells, etc). But one Facebook post changed it for me. I realized that even the more harmless Halloween outfits that may not be close to a demon, or Grimm reaper-is still a part of the holiday customs. So after last year of dressing as the survivor player, I promised myself to never partake in any of the Halloween holiday customs, not even in the most harmless ways because it doesn't make me look like I'm set apart from the world. I want you guys to remind yourself based on my story-Whatever I am doing, am I setting myself apart from others in holy light, or am I just trying to fit in with the world while trying to appease God at the same time? The bible says "You cannot worship two masters". I commit my life to the one who died on the cross for me and made his blood the ONLY pathway to heaven.

That is a good observation, understanding and decision. I could only wish i was this mature, spiritually, at 18 years old. Good thing i grew up from it as well, even though being couple of decades older =)

@@nikokapanen82 I'm still a man child to be honest 😂 maturity to me comes in small strides of realizations and observations like the one above. Sometimes it takes common memorable verses like "I am the truth, the way, and the life. No one can come to my father except through me" to change your heart about decisions you may think are harmless to your faith but in retrospect, you're only doing worse for yourself. Look for insight and wisdom from God for we, humans don't know what's truly best for ourselves 💖. Bless your soul🙂.

I personally don't celebrate the Halloween itself but I enjoy the harvest/Autumn season that it's on same as Thanksgiving. I just love the autumn season.

You do realize that Yahweh actually gave us Festivals to celebrate, and one of them is indeed a Fall Festival! Read your Bible, toss out the pagan "holydays" and honor your Creator by remembering His Festivals :)

I’m young girl who work in Shanghai and all my friends are already for Halloween it’s coming Halloween and I want to celebrate so bad I have never celebrated but after watching this I will not I will never celebrate for devil I’m the daughter of Jesus Christ and I follow him with all my heart.

You don't have to work on sin Jesus did that work for you. Just pray for grace in time of need and He will keep you free from sin. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Hi Duke! I just want to say that as far as your past sins are concerned they’re already forgiven. You have a flesh that has memories and an enemy that is dredging up reminders of past sins. When that happens, just rebuke the enemy and thank the Lord for saving you (Psalm 32 “The Joy Of Forgiveness” and Psalms 107 and 2 Corinthians 5:17). As far as your transformation to be more like Christ, you can’t do it in your own strength or good intentions. Take it from someone who has tried way too hard to be good in order to be good. I’ve learned the hard way that only Jesus can change us. All we have to do is acknowledge when we blow it to Him (because we’re human and we’ll always make mistakes even the apostles weren’t perfect lol), ask for forgiveness and that’s it. When we repent we’re submitting those things we can’t change in ourselves by our own effort. He’ll take care of the transformation process. He loves you and your flesh. That’s right. He loves your flesh too. So much so He wants it to be more like Him. So ask the Holy Spirit to crucify your flesh and expect the beautiful promise of resurrection. He’ll resurrect it and it will be more like Jesus.

With all due respect, Paganism was around LONG BEFORE Christianity. Most of the original Pagan concepts were STOLEN by Christians. Halloween,Christmas,Easter.....ALL original Pagan holidays. and then Christians had the audacity to PUSH their beliefs on the Pagans....after STEALING their traditions. As a former Christian (now a Pagan) I am a happier person, and I don't feel like I am not good enough, and some sort of "evil sinner".

I too was a pagan and I practiced white witchcraft and something from all religions except Christianity- I actually hated Christians and didn’t believe in God (the Creator). Three years ago I heard His voice and started a relationship with Him. And thought it was ok as long as I had the right attitude toward it, But god put it in my heart to reconsider that and convicted me that it doesn’t matter how we try to justify it, we should not celebrate it. I just finished watching Daniel explain Halloween and the funny thing
is...Ive questioned Halloween since I was in my early twenties. The
fact that Ive questioned Halloween for the last 40 years, and have grown
to do little more than leave candy for the children that come to the
door, should have told me that its wrong. Daniel, his biblical
approach, his devotion, his love for God and even his pain make me feel
as young in Christ as when I was 12 years old and gave my life to Christ
at a Billy Graham revival. The moment Mr Graham laid his hand on my
shoulder and prayed with me to receive Christ my life changed. I felt new,
clean and full of energy. In the 50 years since, no matter what I pray,
no matter what I try, who I listen to, what I read...it has all seemed to age

We used to throw Halloween parties every year. This year, after coming back to Jesus last year, I have no desire to have a party. The kids will dress up, but nothing scary. We will go to a trick or trunk at our local church. It is amazing how a relationship with the Lord will allow you to see things so clearly. I have prayed about it many times. I only do 3 things on Halloween.
1: dress up as spiderman. Nothing devious
2: pass out candy to little kids
3: play innocent games like UNO, battleship, drink water ( I hate alcohol beverages and soda.) And eat pizza 🍕. Or just sleep. I don't think there's anything wrong with that

My son and I were reborn this year and we were talking about whether or not to celebrate Halloween. Perhaps something playful like a fireman or police office. But to my surprise my son decided to not celebrate it anymore. I was speechless and so proud of him to make that decision and not taint our faith and keep every day to worship Jesus. Hallelujah

I think it’s the reason why you participate in Halloween that makes you sinning or not. If you do it for pagan gods then yeah your sinning but if it’s just do it for fun then no. You can’t unintentionally worship something because it has to come straight from the heart. Just examin your thoughts and action. What are you doing and thinking? I've heard many stories where people said they accepted Christ after reading a gospel tract they received with their Trick-or-Treat candy. That's amazing! What other day of the year do you have children of all ages coming to "your door" for candy? When else would you ever cross paths with most of these kids and have this type of opportunity? Here they are willingly taking what you give them, so use this chance to give them a kid friendly gospel tract to tell them about the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15 ---- In this case, they come to you.

I was born and raised into catholic religion but for more than 25 years I have been more a Christian. I have 2 sons that I raised with Christian beliefs all though my entire family are all Catholics. I felt all alone but today I have my 2 sons that believe in Christianity. I never participated in Halloween even as a child. I always felt God's presence since I was a child until today. Because you don't realize how immature you sound when you say that. The closest that anyone has ever proved demonic possession to be real. Did a half as* job of faking it. And most of them have now been exposed. So then what? You replace natural situations that involve personal struggles with "Satan" being the culprit. For centuries, kids have been forced to avoid multiple things in life due to your people's fear driven vulnerability. Not seeing the world as a reality. Teaching kids that other cultures are evil. Tv is evil. Music is evil. Dungeons and dragons is evil. Harry Potter is evil. Pokemom is evil. No halloween. It's evil and not fun and games. Your life is a god dam* joke. And take a look around. Each year you are declining! Each generation denies your hypocritical idea of god. And when we grow bigger than you. We will still be mistaken as the enemy when the enemy is clearly your own weak state of mind.

Dear Daniel! I write to you from Europe. Before Americans "gave" us Halloween we had a Christian rememberance called All Souls Day. (In my country Allhelgonadagen) Every year it is on the first Saturday in November. We go to our graveyards and put candles on our family graves. It happens to sometimes be on the same day as your American Halloween. These two days have nothing to do with one another. Allhelgonadagen has always been a Christian day. God bless you!

In my country we called all saints day. Just because the majority is Catholic religion. We visit our close family and relatives who already resting in heaven. Every 1st of November. We put some flowers, candles and also we cleaned the surrounding area. Thank you for this messaged brother in Christ. By the way I'm now born again Christian. God is my life.
In 2014 I cried out to God to help me because I was being tormented by demonic entities that did not give me rest day and night. I opened a door to them through unforgiveness toward my mother whom I had a turbulent relationship with throughout my life. The poison of unforgiveness was eating at my heart and soul causing me to be bitter, sad, depressed, angry and lost. At that time I did not know much or anything about Jesus. Then one day it got too much for me to handle and I cried out to God to help me. I was desperate.
In the next few months my life began to change. I felt the presence of Jesus in my room asking me to forgive my mom, and to also forgive myself because I too caused hurt.. Coming from a Jewish background, it was almost taboo to speak about Him. During the time of my unforgiveness and bitterness I was being harassed by demonic spirits that I could not see but I could sense. They caused me to have sleep paralysis, be depressed, angry and kept me up at night. One day someone had dropped off a flier at my door and I just took it and put it by my bed, not thinking too much about it. Then in the evening when I was feeling so down, my eyes glanced over this flier and there was a scripture about the love of Jesus. It was a short and to the point scripture verse but the words were so powerful, my soul knew it was the truth. And when I read those words, they penetrated through all the pain and confusion and there was a glimmer of hope beginning to bubble up in me. So during my sleep paralysis, I heard a voice inside my spirit telling me to pray to “Jesus Christ, Yeshua”. I could not move my body or my mouth, but as the words “Help me Jesus, Help me Yeshua '' formulated in my mind, whatever entity was pinning me down to the bed lifted off immediately and I was able to move again. I ran outside and called my husband on the phone crying because I had never experienced anything like this. This began my journey with the Lord. He spoke to me in my spirit and told me to “Arise” out of bed when I was so down and depressed. He showed me that there is hope and His name is powerful. It was a process and a journey of sanctification and as I began reading about Jesus, and his life, the more I fell in love with Him. I knew He is the Messiah our people (the Jewish people) had denied for so long. I still did not have a bible at that time and did not give my life to Him at that point, because I just didn’t know what I needed to do to be saved. During this time of being unsaved, the devil tempted me in so many ways and I ended up committing sins that were atrocious and an abomination. BUT GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS CHRIST did not give up on me. In 2015 I felt His presence even stronger and I began repenting of my past sins and the Lord began closing doors that needed to be closed and opening new doors that needed to be opened in my life. In December of 2016 I felt in my spirit the Lord speaking to me asking me to get baptized and to get a Bible and to start reading His Word. And I obeyed. After I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, I began to be guided into all truth. Things I was oblivious to previously as being sinful, God was showing me through the Holy Spirit that I was deceived and I needed to let them go so I could serve Him. One example was the participation of Halloween. As a saved Believer, I could no longer participate in this demonic occult practice. It was like a sharp sword of conviction in my heart.
I LOVE the Lord so much because He transformed my heart and life completely and in such a gentle loving Fatherly way. I am a completely different person today than I was 10 years ago because of His Love for me. I desire to please Him and to obey Him and to one day spend eternity with Him. He gave His life for me and for many people and He wants to save us from being separated from Him for eternity and from going to the pits of Hell. I just give Him the Glory, Honor, Power and Blessings for the miracles He has done in my life and the miracles He can and wants to do in every person's life. To God be the Glory. Amen

I don’t know where to start with this guy. He promotes Christmas and I’m sure Easter even though they have pagan origins. Just like Halloween the Catholic Church combined pagan traditions to become more holy.
He teaches grace but then teaches his and unfortunately a lot of “Christian “ rules to appear holy that are not sins. He said drinking is a sin and it is not. He said we have freedom in Christ but in the next breath he teaches that you are lukewarm if you are not like him.
He teaches against what Gods commands really are. When his videos come up and he sais something is not in the Bible. He should stop right there. Gods command is to avoid idolatry.
If you put a Batman costume on and go around getting free candy on October 31 is no more or less pagan then opening up a gift in front of a tree with lights on it on December 25 and is less pagan then painting eggs on Easter.
It's the only day of the year when we see at least some of our neighbors or since the pandemic, some of the neighbor kids. We set out a bowl of candy as well as tracts with encouraging scripture.

I don’t celebrate Halloween in the way others would define it. I still dress up as my favorite movie characters and such if I feel inclined and hand out candy. Most of the time, our church holds a sermon on Halloween and we do what’s called “trunk or treat”.
I wish more Christians wouldn't be afraid to observe Halloween in that manner. It's not the same thing as celebrating Samhain

I used to love halloween...when I was a witch. Now I'm a follower of Christ (or at least trying very hard to follow Him!) And doing my best to avoid all evil, occult, or dark stuff. The Bible says we are children of light!

As a follower of Christ for over 40 years, I haven't had a problem with Halloween. We can go back to Romans and decide whether we want to celebrate it or not. The problem is when Christians look down on other Christians if they do celebrate it. I don't fear the harvest. I don't worship other gods. I don't communicate with the dead. Many holidays have pagan roots.

I became a Christian 16 years ago and I always watched scary movies as a non Christian and a Christian on Halloween. I don't dress up anymore or go to parties. Just get some junk food and watch scary movies. But I sometimes watch those movies at other parts of the year. I'm trying to be more careful of what I watch in general. I'm married to an unbeliever but his heart is softening and he's searching some now. I probably shouldn't watch those movies. Idk. Thanks for your channel.

For me growing up in a secularized family Halloween was a great time to celebrate family traditions like pumpkin carving, decorating the yard, dressing up. When you're a kid you think it's fun and cute to be a witch, but for me that led to researching "the truth" behind Halloween/Samhain, and the pretending to be a witch turned into actually being a witch. For over 13 years I was involved in the occult, first as a Wiccan then later as a green witch. Unfortunately the fruits of those practices included marijuna, alcoholism, spellwork and "spirit communication", both as a solitary witch and as a member of a coven. None of these practices ever brought peace, and the level of toxicity in those relationships was ridiculous. I left behind those beliefs as "they don't work", and then I didn't believe anything. But later in life when I met my husband l was impressed with his manners and intelligence and positivity, qualities he attributed to Christ. I felt called during a Dan Mohler speech to follow Jesus too, and I got baptized in 2019, just before I got married. It has been a complete 180 in my life. This is hard sometimes for past people to understand - I get "you've changed so much!" And it doesn't seem complementary - but they're right, I have and it's for the better. However, for me Halloween will always be a warning and a reminder of how easy it is to follow a darker path and what that brings you in life.
I... guess I'll stop tweaking that archangel costume I was working on then. Will probably adjust it a little and just wear it during some cosplay event instead.

There are so many - 90% of Christians in our neighborhoods who can't wait to decorate and put a lot of money into halloween, the costumes, parties, and don't even think once that it might be disgusting to the Lord they worship in Sundays. I used to be one of them. How blind I was! Thank God Almighty He opened up my counsience and can you believe it, I had a heated discussion with my family last year when I tried to persuade them (including my 11 year old) to stop even acknowledging that "holiday" which is not even a "holy-day". Thank God Almighty, it's been the 2nd year in a row that we altogether stopped any sort of activity or even a cut-out pumpkin decoration.

I feel like we should use this time to be lights.
When I first became a Christian, my mind was still all over the place because I was still healing from physical and mental trauma. I also didn't understand scripture. Because of this, when I heard that Christians shouldn't celebrate Halloween, I made an oath to God not to engage in it.
Well, I realized how foolish that was later on. I went through a hard trial because of my decision.
The next year (2022), Halloween was coming up again, and a church asked me to help with trunk or treat. I was very uncomfortable, I didn't want to go through it all over again.
But, then I realized... I could use this to an advantage.
Instead of giving out candy, I gave out papers with Bible verses. I declared to the pastor of the church that I was not celebrating Halloween... I was celebrating Christ.
We can celebrate the fact that God can use situations that seem awful in order to get His message out there! Let's not hide away on Halloween... Let's try and share the Gospel.
