Great job, I am praying for Ray. I used to be where Ray is, but God opened my eyes. I am being confirmed at Easter and being baptized for the first time after being protestant for 53 years. I thank God for opening my eyes. Im praying for you Ray!

I know how that sort of thing goes. One of the first things I did upon deciding to join the Church was send an email to a raised-Catholic friend whom I'd talked to over the years, apologizing for some stuff I'd said and announcing the good news. I didn't get a reply and I found out a little later that he was planning to become a Protestant pastor (he's changed his denominational track once so far). We're good friends now, better than ever before, but please pray for him to come back to the Church

I tie Rev 1:20 to the 7 branches of the menorah being the 7 churches, but with the fire being the holy spirit... I can understand your analogy.

I looked up the meaning of the Hebrew word "back" in Ex.33:23 - אָחוֹר ʼâchôwr, aw-khore'; or (shortened) אָחֹר ʼâchôr ;
from the hinder part; hence (adverb) behind, backward; also (as facing north) the West:-after(-ward), back (part, -side, -ward), hereafter, (be-) hind(-er part), time to come, without.
This tells me that if we really look, we can see where God has been! Then we can sometimes envision what comes after, and even understand there is a "hereafter"! So God is really saying a lot by His actions.
Maybe this this why protestants find Jesus in toast instead
