- Wow, you have to see this place. As usual the Mauritian villagers continue to surprise. We explored a Hindu temple, a catholic church, a heritage building (Lime kiln), tons of Historic buildings and ate in the old train station. Check out my must eat Mauritian meal. We eat halim, a Mauritian winter soup specialty, grilled fish with chilli and chips and sautéed lamb.

The fish is called "Gueule Pave", the english name for it is Frenchman Seabream. Snapper is called "Sacrechien" and its body is a bit more elongated :) They look very similar though.
