- Cold press oil machine demonstration. Cold pressed black cumin seeds, also known as nigella sativa seeds, for their oil. Black cumin seeds taste like regular cumin seeds with a slight charcoal over tone. The cold press gave a yield of 15% oil by weight.

My pleasure.
Seems darker than premade oil. I bought heritage brand and it seems diluted. Hardly dark at all. Ill stick to ground seed for now. Atleast i know what im getting. Would like to buy this press
Try bionatal seed oil, it is the best seed oil in the world
Can I re use the waste and the product made from that product would still be high quality
Hi, thank you for your question. Nigella sativa seeds can be eaten whole or ground up with other ingredients like a spice mix or curry paste. However, when I make oil the rest goes in the compost bin. Cheers!
Why not just eat the seeds directly? What advantages does consuming the oil have over consuming the entire seeds? Thank you.
Hi, lots of people use nigella satva oil for hair care products, and the oil can be used in several cooking applications other than simply eating raw seeds, for example, salad dressings, crackers, breads, etc that require an oil. The seeds themselves are difficult to consume by themselves because they are very strongly flavored so using them in a recipe with other ingredients makes them more palatable or easier to consume. Cheers :)
How much degree heat is required for kalongi oil
The machine I am using does not have a thermometer, but the longer you leave the heat switch on the higher the yield. The oil comes out of the machine warm, maybe 40 - 50 degrees Celsius.
Did you put a carrier oil beforehand ? How did the machine extract oil just like that ?
Hi, no extra oil was added. The cold press yield is about 15 - 20%.

The oil comes out at the bottom behind the section where pulp comes out from @Sarmad-Habib
Hi, the oil comes out of a small grate below the screwpress. It drips slowly as the seeds are pressed. The same cold press nigella sativa seed oil video in the short format shows the oil dripping into a bowl a little clearer. Cheers @@Sarmad-Habib
@@PaintedSpoon were the oil to begin with? Was the oil inside the seeds itself?
Do you pre heat the machine before putting the seeds in ?
Hi, you will get a little better yield if the extraction area is hot, but not smoking. My machine gets hot quickly and stays hot for a long time so I turn on the heat at the same time I add the seeds, then turn the heat switch off when it is hot after about 30 seconds or before the oil coming out of the machine gets hot.
@@PaintedSpoon thanks for the info.
But this not a cold extraction😮
Hi dear
Howmuch oil can get from 1kg seed?
Hi, the yield I get with the black seeds I buy is about 15% so you should get at least 150g or a little over 1/2 cup of oil with 1kg of seeds.
What temperature did you use on the machine?
Hi, I don't know the exact temperature, but when the oil starts to drip, I turn the heating element off. The element is too hot to touch, but the oil is barely warm. You can also warm the seeds before feeding them into the machine for a little bit better yield. Cheers!
Can regular juicer work?
Hi, no a regular juicer will not work. Cheers!
Nice sharing please tell me where i can buy this machine many thanks
Hi, I bought the machine from Amazon.ca
@@PaintedSpoon many thanks 👍
What type of cold press do you use?
The kitchen oil press machine I use is made by brand YUEWO and I purchased the machine on-line through Amazon.
Do you pre heat the machine first
Hi, I start my machine with the heating element on and when the oil starts to drip, I turn it off, which is before the oil smokes. The batches I do are usually a 1/4 pounds of seeds at a time so a few minutes. If your machine does not have a heating element to heat the extruding area you can heat the seeds in a frying pan to get a better yield. Cheers.
@@PaintedSpoon Thanks very much , i have a machine the same as yours , so your advice is much appreciated.
Do they have hot press coffee machines?
Hi, thank you for the excellent question. Are you trying to make green coffee bean oil? I tried to press green and roasted coffee beans and it was not successful. the roasted coffee beans extruded finely ground coffee and the green coffee beans seized the machine.
@PaintedSpoon no I'm tryna do it to the Nigella sativa cumin seeds as well that's why I asked if they have a hot press coffee machine as well?
@@KeezyHBrady Hi, sorry I have never seen a hot press coffee machine so I can't help you there. Cheers!
@@PaintedSpoon okay thx
